They don't really have to be afraid, unless they are at, or very close to, a military target. Ukraine doesn't target civilians, in contrary to Rusia, that has it as its modus operandi.

These missiles are air launched. Only Ukrainian (ex-Soviet) aircraft modified for them is the Su-24. They can carry only(?) two at a time. So that means Ukraine generated a sortie with at least nine bombers, plus support aircraft. Tsar Putin said the Ukrainian air force was wiped out. Please explain.
It was 18 missiles in total. Ukrainian tactics are to fire mostly old ex-soviet missiles to get the attention of the radars while the stealthy Storm Shadows come in and hit the targets. I'd say there were no more than 8 Shadows fired, if that many.

Hwoever unlike the americans the UK and France aswell understands better to use our own supply in russia then use our own supply by ourselves which means things are more dangerous if that happens. However i do believe US did supply ukraine with decoy missiles aswell so its very likely that these are being used aswell.
It was now disclosed that part of the rockets were Ukrainian-made Neptunes (same that sunk the Moskva cruiser), they are ground-launched.

Ukraine has knocked another Russian oil refinery out of commission along with one of the country’s largest power plants in another long-range drone attack. Video from the Kuybyshevsky oil refinery in Samara, 560 miles from Ukraine, shows drones circling overhead and slamming down into the refinery, causing large fires to break out. The drones, which have a distinctive V-shaped tail fin are the same ones used to target the Ryazan oil refinery a fortnight ago, blowing up the distillation towers and putting the facility out of action long-term. More footage shows Ukrainian drones hitting the Novocherkassk power plant, located in the city of the same name just a short distance from the border. Again, flames could be seen lighting up the night sky as the plant - one of the largest in Russian - was repeatedly struck, though the extent of the damage was not immediately clear. Ukraine is in the midst of a campaign of long-range drone strikes against Russia, designed to rob the state of lucrative oil exports it uses to fuel its war machine and cause as much disruption to the lives of ordinary Russians as possible.

In case people were wondering, the 16 missiles fired along with the 2 Storm Shadows will have been decoys. They'll have had targets for sure, but their real purpose was to keep missile defences busy to give the Shadows an easier path to target (even though they fly under radar and are already very difficult to take out).
If you combine stormshadow and tons of drones at the same time their air defence have no chance and also seadrones! hahaha
It appears the Russians succeeded in shooting down some of the missiles, but these are the older version of the Storm Shadow. The newer version (which Ukraine doesn't have ) has integral decoys and jamming defences....
