【Synopsis】In the last years of the Tang Dynasty, a military governor and warlord named Zhu Wen is out in the countryside when he happens to come across a boy who has been raised by wolves. The warlord decides to take the boy in, adopt him, and name him Zhu You Wen. Zhu Wen then proceeds to launch an ultimately successful coup, usurping the Tang monarch and installing himself as the first Emperor of the Later Liang Dynasty (907-923). The new Emperor names Zhu You Wen as a royal prince.
At court, Zhu You Wen forms a bond with a woman named Ma Zhai Xing, the daughter of a government official.
Despite his lofty status at court, Zhu You Wen is motivated by a strong sense of justice that was instilled in him during his years of living in the wild. He and Ma Zhai Xing begin to form a romantic bond. And with her support, he plans to temper his adoptive father’s unpopular and overly strict reforms - and battles to foil a series of dastardly plans hatched by his scheming foster brothers.

Darren Wang gave justice to his character- no one could pull through as a Wolfie but him alone and people should know and accept that👍 I watch the show because of him and wanted to leave because of the tragic storyline but then- I was hooked with his acting so here I am- sticking till the end 🤟
When i saw the trailer i didn't knew any of the actors. Only later own i found there names and watched there drama But Darren Wang i only saw him the first time in this drama and he is unforgettable ( this role is made for him) handsome, his face/expression doesnt look to girlish like some other actors. Thats how a man should be. Thats my opinion dont want to upset other peoples heart.

Just stumbled upon this TV series, so impressed by Darren’s Wolf and Lord character. Darren is the one that hold this show together and the only reason that kept me watching (can’t compliment on the weird plot though). Darren’s performance is amazing and this led me to his Our Times, a great Taiwan movie back in 2015, which Darren played a high school kid so well. Darren is really acting, and a great actor, which is so rare today in Chinese drama. Hope to see more of Darren’s performances in future!
Darren Wang is phenomenal. His acting is amazing to behold, they way he switches between Wolfie and Prince Bo is fantastic.
Darren Wang is perfect to be wolfie no wonder the director/writer hand pick him for the role. Well deserved and hope he get more attention from acting well in the series. ZX and JC were like brother and sister; there was no romantic chemistry, none! However, between ZX and the Wolf, there was plenty of chemistry, the way he looked at her, she became putty, and if she had a wall behind her, she would have been sliding downward 😊! He played the part of “the Wolf!” Make no mistake about it!
