I think when you use the gasket socks you’re meant to take out the little foam squares you install for the silicone bowl mounting style, which is probably why it was hard for you to close the case
Oh wow, that actually would make sense. I didn't think of that, thanks man!
@@nerdgrafx no worries!
Do you remember if most stiff 70g bowl mount had fuller sound compared to softer bowls? When I initially built mine I went with softest 50g, I really liked the flex, but sound was thin so I swapped to gasket socks method. Made sound much better to me, however its not as flexy and can't decide if 70g bowls would offer middleground or it would sound same as another bowls.
To my ear, all the silicone bowls sound the exact same, the only thing that changes with the different grams is the typing feel, it's way more flexible with the 50g. But for sound, it didn't change by anything noticeable.
Great vid! I've been building mine with Gasket Bowl 60g. Did you install all foams on yours when recording this vid?
Hey, thank you for your support! I did not use all the foams, I was only using the plate foam, but left the case foam off
Nice video. Without Foam and Alu Plate with MX Blacks and Bowl Mount sounds good but it is so quiet. Other Configs have extremly hollow by me. And i cant use GMK .The Spacebar sounds so bad and loud then. The PBTfans Caps are ok. Have you an idea ?
Thank you for your support! The sound of this board to me didn't change much and they all sound too similar unfortunately. There are spacebar mods you can try, but I didn't try any different way, sorry my friend
I'm sorry to ask but what website do you go to configure the or map the keys? I tried going to kbdfans and downloading whatever they have but nothing is working for me. I have the same keyboard you got hhkb and trying to map it that same way. Please help tehe
If it's the same keyboard, you will have to go to usevia.app it's the online app for VIA which will allow you to customize the keys! Hope this helps
Do you guys have a good software for mapping the FN key? I also wanna remap the arrow keys somewhere
You should be able to just go to the VIA online application and then connect your keyboard to it. From there, you can remap your FN key to do whatever you choose from the choices available.
60 Bowl is perfect
The envoy after you configure it with the specifics you want and foam kit/stabs is over 300. Tofu comes to 188 with everything. Deff not 10/15 dollars more so not the best comparison.
I agree that they definitely are not in the same tier of keyboards, but in terms of price, I would think it's a fair comparison since they are close to one another. You definitely get less add-ons or accessories with the envoy though
i think you forgot to color your footage before uploading it
I did color but my editing style was on the more muted color end lol Definitely am more into the brighter, more saturated colors now though
@@nerdgrafx it looks so weird, close to no colors, everything is beige, even your skin
@@nerdgrafxit's red Tofu. Now it's orange
