@Luis Novelo you are so right on that. When Petra is rocking she is rocking. She is having a good time in these 2 tournaments. Happy very much for Sorana it been a long time since she been this far in a tournament. Vika just had a bad day for her last match she can run anyone off the court when she is in her elements. Good for them.

What an awesome result for Petra!
I’ve loved Petra for her entire career and am thrilled to see her still doing well. She has a great shot at a 1000 final which is remarkable at this stage of her career! And I don’t mean to sound harsh, but Alexandrova needs to sort her attitude out. She is an astonishingly good player - top 10 standard easily on many days - but she is far too hard on herself and it hampers her play. She gets upset with herself too easily, even when her opponents force the errors from her (as will always be the case when you play someone as powerful as Petra!). She often loses multiple points after one unforced error because she’s too busy being angry and upset with each mistake. If she could control her emotions and be kinder to herself, she’d be appearing in the second week of slams. The single, only reason she lost this match is that Kvitova is much tougher mentally.

Petra finally did what ive been asking her to do all her career, play with more margins, when things are not all going her way and finding consistency and a way to win. In this match Alexandrova was outhitting Petra but instead of going for too much (which she has a tendancy to do), she stayed consistent. She won this match by having a cleaner winners to errors ratio.
