This album’s title song ‘Secret Garden’ is telling us about girls that do some gardening for their secret garden, which is invisible right now but exist with their dreams. Its melody is Asian and mysterious along with OH MY GIRL’s sentimental vocals building on rhythmical rock track.

가사가 너무 예쁘다.. 내가 가진 이상에 비해 내 능력이 부족하다는 생각이 들 때마다 찾아듣는 곡입니다 가끔 다 내려놓고 포기하고 싶어지면 지금 내가 하는 노력들이 언젠가 결실을 이루게 될 거라는 저 이야기들이 얼마나 고맙고 힘이 되었는지 몰라요. 언젠가 이 그룹의 리더가 자신들에게 굉장히 의미있는 곡이라고 말했던 것 같은데, 그게 그냥 1위곡이라서..라는 단순한 이유는 아닐 것 같아요. 오마이걸이라는 그룹이 조바심내지 않고 차근차근 노력해왔기에 지금처럼 모두가 인정하는 가수가 되었으니 이 노래가 자신들의 인생을 대표하는 곡이 된 셈이네요. 따뜻한말로 힘이 되어줘서 고맙고, 불렀던 가사에 부끄럽지 않게 여기까지 열심히 달려오며 삶으로 증명해준 당신들에게 감사합니다. 항상 응원할게요.

노래도 좋고 멤버들도 다 예쁘지만 특히 이 곡은 가사가 너무 예쁜 것 같아요. 앨범 소개를 봤었는데 자세히 기억나진 않지만 지금은 보이지 않고 보잘것 없는 거 같은 조그만 꿈도 느리더라도 마음 속에 간직한 채로 계속 키워나가면 언젠간 무럭무럭 자라서 아름답게 피어날 것이라는 내용이더라구요. 가사도 그렇고 앨범 소개도 정말 예뻐서 감동받았었어요. 전 공고를 나왔고 전문대에 진학하게 되었는데 마음 한쪽에서 사정이 안돼서 접어두었던 꿈인 작곡가 라는 꿈이 있었는데 이 노래와 앨범 소개를 듣고나선 희망이 생기고, 남들보다 느리고 힘들더라도 해보고 싶다는 다짐을 얻었어요. 이 가사처럼 지금은 아무것도 안 보이는 그저 제 마음속에 심어둔 조그마한 꿈이지만 언젠간 무럭무럭 자라서 저의 비밀정원이 피어났으면 좋겠어요. 전 자주 이 노래를 들으면서 다짐을 합니다. 제게 힘이 되어준 노래 불러주신 오마이걸분들 감사합니다.

나이 53인데 새벽에 라디오 듣다가 귀에 꽂히는 노래가 있어 찾아 들어요 노래 좋네요 2023.10.30
비밀정원은 여러모로 참 특별한 곡인것 같음: (1) 노래 자체가 미래에 대한 염원과 설렘을 담고 있고 (2) 그 느낌이 이 노래를 불렀을 당시 성공이 간절했을 오마이걸과 미라클의 마음을 대변해 주는 것 같았고 (3) 실제로 활동당시 기준으로 가장 성공한 곡이 되었고 (4) 노래와 당시 상황이 맞물려 주는 뭉클함 (이게 정말 희귀한 킬포) (5) 개인적으로는 유행을 잘 안타는 곡임 (묘하게 레트로 감성). 다시 말해 질리기가 힘든 곡. (6) 여러 장르로 리메이크가 가능할 것 같은 곡.
첫직장 들어와서 적응도 못하고 욕먹으면 기숙사 들어와서 이 노래 들으면서 많이 위로받고 울었습니다,, 취업하면 다 된 줄 알았는데, 알바 많이 해봐서 사회생활 잘할 줄 알았는데 다 아니었던것 같아서 혼자서 참 힘들고 많이 울고 그랬었던 때에 누구보다 많이 힘주고 위로해준 노래 다른 사람들도 이 노래로 많이 많이 위로가 되었으면 💜오마이걸 고마워요💜

I was listening to this song for months with no subtitles, just vibing with it. Today I tried listening with subs. Now I know the reason why they won awards with this song and became a hit. Its lyrics hit me hard like running to a wall, and cried the first time after hearing this for so long. So my theory is: Arin opens the box which holds the Secret Garden. The members are living their daily lives until they enter the Secret Garden which is full of their past memories as ot8, and then they are able to see and experience the magic of their old MVs. The lyrics imply that their past history as a group is special and like a dream, but it is also just the start of what they are capable of, kind of like a seed that is only the beginning of a full garden. At the end of the MV Arin looks up from the box and sees the members in reality. While the past is wonderful, the members will continue to grow and move on (as ot7) with the hope that their Secret Garden will become more beautiful in the future, but they will always remember the start of their Secret Garden.

오히려 그런 것을 기획한 건 아닐까 싶은데요... 막상 그때 발매될 때는 전혀 존재도 모르고 있다가 약 몇 년 뒤에서야 아 누가 몇년도 뭘 하고 있을때 이런 곡을 만들었구나 싶은 깨달음? 결혼이미지가 나오는 다섯번째계절 발매일도 어버이날인것같던데요 ㅎㅎ 재밌음... 아린이가 마지막에 Love for real 이라는 가사와 함께 결혼이미지가 나오는데 과거 2014년에도 똑같은 결혼이미지가 이미 쓰였다는거 아세요? 클로저에 나왔었어요;;

Just my random thought based on the MV: 1. Secret Garden is a place ONLY KNOWN to Ohmygirl (as 8 members together with JinE) and Miracles. Referring from Cupid to Coloring Book (JinE is only in hiatus during this period so its still OT8). 2. All the previous songs were put together into one, the Secret Garden. All their memories together with JinE and Miracles are put into one song. ...Ohmygirl is starting to move forward as 7 members, but Miracles and Ohmygirl will never forget those moments they had in Secret Garden and that they may still comeback to that place (remember those moments in the past with JinE) anytime through the song. :) Somehow, that is what I feel throughout the MV. It is full of emotions. You're doing great, Ohmygirl! Ohmygirl will always be OT8 in our hearts.

그 흔하디 흔한 '사랑' 이란 단어가 없어도 사랑스러운 노래. 가사도 얼마나 이쁜지 시로 써도 대상감임. 아이돌 노래는 노래가 아니라고 생각했던 나의 선입견을 깨부순 노래. 몇년이 지나도 다시 들으러 올거 같다.
주제 자체도 본인들의 잠재력을 곧 보여주겠다는 의미이고, 실제로 이 노래를 시작으로 오마이걸이 성공했으니 더욱 와닿는 듯 합니다.

This song is so beautiful. People initially think it's another cutesy, magic themed song, but it's way more than that. When I first heard it, I felt nostalgia and longing for something that is far away. The melody is at the same time upbeat and calm (those instrumentals in the back, I guess...violins? 10/10), it manages to be interesting, because after every chorus something changes (the bridges are stunning)...and in the end BAMM - OH MY GIRL style high pitch gloriousness. I absolutely love that last segment "Please keep growing, beautiful". The lyrics are amazing and the dance is, as always, on point! Thank you for this amazing comeback OMG and WM! I hope you grow as beautiful as your secret garden!
