There's a lot of delusional people who think akaza beats gyomei. First of all it was stated that no hashira could beat an upper moon before transparent world seeing and the demon slayer mark was established. Also just look at Gyomei's feats. Gyomei hard carried against kokushibo, he tanked many of the blows and defended Sanemi at the same time. Then he fought MUZAN after the kokushibo fight. He managed to get some good licks in and even held his ground.

Also, Even if Gyomei activated his mark, he was struggling hard against Kokushibo, even with Sanemi, the second strongest Hashira (in debate)’s help. If we split Kokushibo into clones, Douma would have a high chance to be the one with 2.9/5 of Kokushibo’s original Power. In multiple fax debates, Gyomei was even struggling against Akaza and Hantengu, and if we say that Hantengu could beat Gyomei as he does not activate his transparent world (Let’s just say he doesn’t in a fierce fight against Uppermoon 4) with High-Extreme difficulty, Akaza would have less problems dealing with him, and Douma, being more formidable than the 2 combined, could easily destroy Gyomei.

Some errors : 1) Akaza is stronger than Gyomei because of his compass needle. Gyomei due to not having access to sun breathing can't hide his battle aura like tanjiro, yorichi and tanjiro's dad. Akaza will straight on detect all his attacks because more the battle spirit, better his compass works and Gyomei certainly fought kokushibo NOT calmly. 2) Michikatsu ( human Kokushibo ) is 2nd strongest hashira in whole history of demon Slayer after yorichi. My man got demon mark in just 10 year or so.
