Behind the scenes Jin has said he couldn’t hear and he was so nervous. I absolutely love how much Chris adores Jin and BTS. Coldplay is one of the collabs that are genuine like others have said. They really respect BTS and vice versa but Jin has such a special relationship with Chris. I was at their LA show and Chris surprised the crowd at the very end. It was a great place to be!

Hi, In Suchwita's program with Suga, SeokJin explains very well that the mistake was made by Chris Martin in the part where they sing together and the difference between the stage and the speakers used for Coldplay concerts. SeokJin shined as always and we are very proud of how he pulled through with many difficult factors around him. I recommend watching that interview. Where Jin and Suga explain in detail live singing and the differences of a stage. Always proud of our SeokJin, I love everything about him. The Astronaut's first time on stage, we will never forget it, everything was perfect no matter what. I remember when Chris Martin came out at the BTS concert in LA and they sang My Universe. It was phenomenal! Legendary Coldplay making a cameo with BTS. It was also the day before Jin's birthday. What a wonderful present for him. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
The fact that Jin flew to Argentine to perform the song just a day after the song was released and you can see the audience already singing along, it's just so heartwarming. I hope you take a quick minute to watch Chris' introduction right before Jin went up the stage 🥺The whole Coldplay-BTS friendship and the Coldplay fans-ARMY friendship has just been so beautiful to see, especially when it feels a lot of times like other artists just see a BTS collab as just another quick cash grab or other fandoms invalidating their success. I live in Argentina and my daughter is Argentine, we had the opportunity that the universe gave us to see this show, it was spectacular, we screamed our hearts out, seeing Jin and hearing him sing was a unique experience, for us it was our first time in a stadium. I am a fan of Coldplay and a fan of BTS for 5 years, I love them and seeing these two universes together was incredible.

One thing that hit me this time around in a way it didn’t before- this was a Coldplay concert. How humble is Chris, and how much love he has for Jin, that they not only gave him time to sing his song during their concert, but he also did backup vocals for it, letting Jin shine the entire time. It totally warms my heart.
Such an incredibly kind, sincere man. He was so happy to meet the BTS members and find kindred spirits there. I love the pride written all over him when Jin is performing here.

Just before Chris and Jin sang together the crowd was chanting Kim SeokJin, Kim SeokJin, that's Jin's real name. And when Jin laughed was because Chris made a mistake with the lyrics. This performance is so touching, and the introduction Chris gave before Jin entered is precious!
I was so impressed that you were able to hear Chris and that it sounded like coldplay without even knowing. Whoever hates on you is ignorant. I can tell you love listening to these guys. You know your music and it speaks for itself.
Jin is an icon, one of the next timeless wholesome stars akin to whitney, stevie, celine, michael, etc and when he returns it will be a cultural reset.
This presentation was Jin's last before going to military service, the song was his way of saying goodbye to the army and that is why his eyes have tears at the end of the song, also coldplay and bts have a very beautiful friendship and they love each other a lot, chris even gave jin one of his guitars.

No if you watch Coldplay live streaming in cinema there’s no any backing track. It’s some technical problems with BH’s version cause they clearly have some audio delay which make it sound like a backing track. The proof is when first chorus end the drums sounded totally off beat which irl it’s totally normal.

I saw this performance so much times, but I always finish crying. It makes me so emotional. You don't know, obviously, but this song and this performance means so much for Army. It was a gift for us from him and we always become emotional with this live. Jin is so beautiful person and he means so much for us. All members in BTS are so precious for us. We can't to explain it, but we really love to them so much. And we know they have same love and respect for Army. Is a relationship that we never expected but now we can't to live without her. Some people traveled from the other side of world only for see to him "3 minutes" singing this song in a Coldplay concert and he did same thing for singing this song to Army. Thanks for watching 💜

Nathan: I promise, if you ever get to go to a BTS concert, you will feel high/euphoric. It's such an experience. ARMY's are amazing. Better than you can even imagine. It's the best party you've ever been to. I so wish you could have seen Suga's D-Day concert. He blew the room off of the stadiums and he had the audience in the palm of his hand. Thank you for doing this review. Jin means so much to all of us. He was a big part in raising the boys. I might have told you, he drove Jungkook to both Jr High & High School every day. And I do love his personality and his amazing voice.

hey this was at the river plate stadium in buenos aires, argentina. i was there and this was incredibly emotional, my whole sector was crying 😭 when the concert ended we stayed there for 20 minutes just processing what we had just witnessed lol this was like the first time ever a bts member set foot in argentina so😅 Also: argentina is chris martin’s favorite place to play so i think that inviting jin to play here was even more special. i’m so glad you reacted to this 💜
Coldplay saved some tickets for ARMY for this show. Jin flew halfway around the world, literally, to perform this song exactly once before he left for the military. If anyone ever doubts that they love us... I mean, he didn't need to do any of this. He just wanted us to know he loved us and he'd come back. It's a beautiful song and a beautiful story. It's a very Coldplay song but it suits Seokjin really really well. He's got a great voice for this style, and I'd love to hear him nail some power ballad style songs. The man has pipes. When he's back, I think it would be super cool for him to hop onstage with Coldplay again, and maybe sing with them on a couple of their songs. Because why not, you know? The little mistake at the end was delightful too. And then that final "I love you" is sung out from the heart. It gets to me every time. Chris did a sweet introduction, and he and the rest of the band carry around a little Wootteo figurine when they perform. They just really love the hell out of each other, which makes sense - these are all guys who love music and humanity. I'm so grateful to Chris for being open to working with BTS and becoming another brother for Jin. From the folks that were there, I've heard that even though most of the crowd wasn't ARMY, they were incredibly sweet, cheering Jin on and offering hugs to people who were crying. Yep, even though it's been a few months since Jin entered the military, that last "And I love you" immediately causes a lump in my throat & I am fighting back tears 😭 because Army not only treasures our WWH Jin and the song he made for us, Army, to say a temporary good-,bye and to help ease our sadness as he entered military service, I mean who does that? Our BANGTAN Boys do! They always try to show how much they appreciate Army and their gratitude & love sincerely and this only continues to strengthen the bond shared between BTS & ARMY. 💜I truly can feel the depth of his love for Army as I listen to The Astronaut and it will always be an emotional song that holds a special place within my heart. I admire and love the relationship shared between Coldplay & BTS and it's inspiring to see the power music can hold as it smashes through boundaries that can divide humanity because the beauty of music is it can hold our stories, emotions and be reflections of society. Coldplay and BTS together is definitely a fangirling moment for me because both are legendary & iconic artists and both have chosen to use their music, platforms to do good things to help make the world & us better. Hearing about your background with being hesitant to join a "boy band" with all the stereotypes that brings, I'm really excited to hear your perspective about the boys' journey with that! Some of them were underground rappers, and all of them faced a lot of prejudice and criticism for everything from their band name to wearing makeup on stage. One of my favorite parts about this clip, aside from how beautiful the performance was, is the ending. Jin taking the time to thank the crowd in their native language, thank coldplay in theirs, and then address army and say he loves us in his own just makes me feel some type of way 💜

thanks for your reaction~😊 chris sang with jin on this performance. i did mention that chris and his son sang backup vocals too~ but you’re right about jin. he did embrace his lower register in this song. while he is usually singing the higher vocals, he also does use his low register in some of the bts songs. it’s just more prominent on this song~^^ you should watch the behind film for this song. chris directed jin during the recording as well. if i remember correctly, coldplay is one of jin’s favorite bands. they did collab on My Universe because of jin. chris had said this in one of his many interviews talking about the song. there’s also a documentary about how they came together in the production and recording of the song~^^ you can see that coldplay, esp chris, are just so fond of jin and the rest of bts 😊
Chris Martin is singing a lot of the higher notes in the live.performance, he's also harmonising with the Korean lyrics. Coldplay have always been really good at staging big concerts and it was so cool to give their stage to Jin for this performance.

I wish you would have seen the longish introduction by Chris. It brought me to tears. This friendship is so sweet. Jin has always been a Cold Play fan but working together on My Universe really forged a lovely relationship between the two bands. And Jin, traveling 40 hours to get to this concert shows how important this was to him, is just lovely. The mission of Cold Play and BTS to make the world a better place makes for a great connection and makes me more hopeful for the future. BTW, the vocal line of BTS has a range that is ridiculous. V's is the broadest as a baritone that can go into the stratosphere with his high notes (check out stigma live, really, you have to check it out here: kzhead.info/sun/lKVtZZehsYKZrHA/bejne.htmlsi=oqBugQdW8iGPi5Gc . Jimin is a tenor with extremely high notes. There are videos of him hitting what I think is an E5 (I could be super wrong on that note). Jin is close to being a baritone but would still be considered a tenor and has a beautiful head voice/falsetto. His transition from to and out of falsetto is so smooth. Jungkook is an all star tenor with an amazing pop flat delivery, some say the best pop tenor in the business right now, I don't know about that but he is pretty damned good. I recommend you dive into the vocal line songs after you finish solos. Dimple, Truth Untold, House of Cards, Zero O'Clock, and, with Benny Blanco and Snoop Dog, Bad Decisions.
Autocorrect is a lovely thing... 🤣 The band is Coldplay and the song is "my universe" not "my university" Jin is an Altotenor; Jimin is a Countertenor; V is a Baritone; JK is a Tenor (?); Not sure how you get that Jin's voice is on the lower side when it is more on the higher side. In the BE Interview he mentioned that he has more problems with lower notes than with higher notes - the same as Jimin. Both are asigned the high notes for a reason in for example "Fake Love".

Chris talk about more than 30 names of countries and Jin traveled exclusive for that concert for only one song to goodbye army. It was already sold out and Army already there. The song was released only the day before and Argentina had a best fans of the world.

Seeing Jin here was so heart-warming & amazing. 5. I'm watching this video on 230922 Fri, the day Suga enlisted in the military. Sending Suga all my love and support, and to Jin & J-Hope who are in the military as well.
7:34 - The extra notes you're hearing on the vocals are Chris harmonizing with Jin. He learned the lyrics in Korean here (he did the same for My Universe as well) so he could provide backup vocals. If you watch him, you'll see him glance at the floor to his right to check the lyrics a few times. Regarding Jin's range, he and V are known for having the widest vocal ranges (including falsetto) in BTS. The reason that I think you may be missing him using his lower register in BTS songs is because he's usually blending with the other members when he uses it. If you watch their song Dionysus there's a point in the song where Jin goes back and forth from his lowest register tones to falsetto a couple of times in quick succession and it's just so smooth.
I was there. And I still get the chills and tear up every time I remember the feeling of the moment. Seeing Jin and hearing his voice live was the best experience ever, there is no video that makes justice to his voice... And yes, that is River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I've been to Coldplay concerts twice, and I must admit that their fans are incredible and create a wonderful, unique atmosphere! Coldplay provides fans with glowing wristbands before the concert, hence a similar effect to the light sticks used in K-pop (each group has its own light stick design).

Really wish you had included Chris’ introduction! It’s a big part of what makes this moment so special! Being that it was a Coldplay concert, Jin didn’t seem to want the attention all on him, so he ran back to sing closer with the band. But Chris made sure Jin was the focal point and brought him back to the front anyway. Also, Jin had gifted Chris and the band a mascot that was created for this song, named Wootteo (intended to keep Army company while he’s away) that they now keep on stage with them at each of their Coldplay concerts. The song song had been released recently and soon after he was going to serve, so this was the only live performance he did. Flew from Seoul to Buenos Aires just for this single performance, super nervous for being without Bts and with someone else's fans
The reason I watch your reaction in particular and other like you in general is that you share little tidbits about your life and how it relates to the journey BTS is having, has had, and will have. So the point is go for it dude blab away, I am here for it and I love it. Watching you enjoy the concert was fun because of the fact that you know what it's like to be in a studio and to be on a stage so you know the work it takes to put on a performance no matter how small or large is a chore and can sometimes overwhelm but in the end the fans love it.

This was Jins goodbye to Army before joining the military. He flew from S Korea for just this one song. It was a very long journey back and forth. Coldplay gave him their stage. And the Coldplay fans embrased him. The intro Chris gave him was heartwarming. It's not on this video unfortunately. The whole collab, MV and performance was really emotional for Army. Jin was the first to go. Luckily we're close to a year and Jin and J-Hope will be both back around this time next year. To keep in touch, Jin prepared a small video for Army for every month he's gone. And he shows up in the comments of the lives from other members. We miss him.

The b hind the scene clips really shows how DIFFERENT a band like Coldplay works in a live concert compared to an idol based trained band like BTS. The first allows more for uncertainty while Jin was feeling extra nervous because almost NOTHING was predetermined 😂 He asked Chris something and he almost always answered “we’ll see how” and you could see Jin just FROZE 😂
As a musician I appreciate bands more, but obviously being able to dance is so cool

Thank you so much for your reaction, Jin spent more than 70 hours traveling to perform a single song on stage before enlisting in the military. Chris invited him to sing the final part without rehearsing. But it became a viral memory for ARMY.

Jin has amazing range and control over shifting between his different voice tones. His lower register is so cool too, there's a Japanese song called Arirang. Jin's lower notes is so special in that

Jin had once said in an interview that he would love to collaborate with Coldplay when BTS was still just starting out. So this concert and the my Universe song is a dream come true for Jin.
Fun fact- Jin was escorted from literally streets.. he even mentioned this once how the company reached out to him in streets just by looking at his handsome features. U'll not believe that he learned to sing and dance at his training period. And just like that Jin developed his own style of singing.
Yep Argentina! Jin flew like 30+ hours each way just for one last performance to sing the song live to Army before he enlisted. I mean.... that's just love 💜💜💜
Can you imagine how Jin felt knowing this was his last performance before military. Even Chris said how concerned he was.

Do NOT worry about Army and what they say to you! I have found some of them to be so very ugly and what’s the word for “they are right about everything” and it HAS to be done how they say! And how they “protect” BTS…. Yeah the boys don’t need their protection. I got attacked because someone on twitter saw that I was ProLife! That’s when I stopped caring about Army! Ok first of all Nathan, i really love ur reactions because i can feel that u r honest and genuine with it and not trying to fake it with a lot of over reacting or by being extra. I can tell when someone is being genuine and when they r just reacting to gain the views, so the people who r being harsh on u just ignore them, we armies r here for u and we will support u cause we love honest reactors. With that being said, let's talk about the performance man the performance for us armies was goosebumps worthy that's all I'll say, he did it cause he wanted to say goodbye to us. One more thing, i know u r just diving into bts and getting to know them but plz try checking out their live performances. I agree that BTS concerts have great energy but this was actually a Coldplay stadium show haha. They have brilliant concerts too I wasn't even a fan but i went to their US show and had so much fun. They really know how to bring together an audience. I believe they started the concept of "lights in the audience" syncing to music as well. Back in 2008-2011. Which is what matter morphed into other artists like Taylor Swift using wristbands like them and then Kpop groups using light sticks

There is a version with a speech before Jin comes up by Chris … please at least watch the speech…It is so touching …They did a song together called “My Universe “ and it has a mini documentary of them in studio with Coldplay ..I think you would enjoy

Im from Argentina and i was there it was a magic moment Jin took the largest flight in the world from one pole of the earth to the other just to sing one song and it was his farewell from the stages until 2025 🥲🥲🥲 Sorry to say this but its not for nothing that we are called the best crowd in the world!! Argentina is full passion!!❤
