    • i think that it was originally supposed to be a fun little show about a blended family, and then the two leads had major chemistry (i heard somewhere that they may have dated in real life? i don’t know.) and everyone seeing the tension started shipping them, so everyone started playing into it for the fanservice and publicity.

    • @ehdalloc there was supposed to be a spin off in the works for a while that was called life with Luca. Based around Casey and Derek being single parents (Luca is Casey’s son and Derek has a daughter called skylar) and they decide to cohabitate to make life easier. Micheal Seater actually said the pilot was meant to start with them waking up in the same bed too lol unfortunately, it was cancelled. There’s also the movie that is pretty great
