I've played this sports for over 30. The one coach I will always remember had this type of humor with us. Thats the only team I ever played in that never lost a game in the payoffs. We would end the regular season with a 500 record. Then came the playoffs. None of us felt pressure, but we all unconsciously some how knew. It was time to take it serious. Our season record combined for 2 years was 17 win 19 loses. In the playoffs in 2 years 12 win 0 L and 2 Championship. Even though he talked like this to us, we knew it was all in fun and kind of always looked forward to his next joke. It let us know he was in a good mood. When he wasn't like this, it meant practice was about to get hard. Because he meant business.
