The Town: Coroner, Investigator, Lookout, Psychic, Seer, Sheriff, Spy, Tracker, Deputy, Trickster, Veteran, Vigilante, Jailor, Mayor, Monarch, Prosecutor, Bodyguard, Cleric, Crusader, Trapper, Admirer and Amnesiac
The Neutral Apocalypse: Baker, Famine, Berserker, War, Plaguebearer, Pestilence, Soul Collector and Death
Neutral Evil: Executioner, Jester, Doomsayer, Pirate
Neutral Killing: Arsonist, Serial Killer, Shroud and Werewolf

1 thing I really like about coven compared to mafia is that even when the book is passed to the next coven, they still keep their unique powers. Meanwhile if you're promoted as a mafia, your unique powers are gone

If you are town traitor jailor and have a ritualist on your team it does make sense to tell the prosecutor to prosecute the ritualist because town would get pretty suspicious of you not being killed by the rit. Although executing CL pretty much confirms that the jailor is not town traitor.

@@micaelstarfire8639 I agree to an extent. But given it's a deception game, it never hurts to be a little cautious. Not veteran paranoia, but at least an glint of distrust until later proven as a confirmed townie (which until TT's down will get tricky).
I'm pretty sure that tt can't target own, so u can't jail coven or pros them, or shoot them as vigi....so him exing cl conf him to not be tt....

Monarch has the unique advantage of being the only Tpow who can impact the game even after their death Jailor pros mayor are all useless after they die. Sure you could simply kill the knights or the monarch could accidentally knight an evil. But the sheer power of it is unmatched.

Town Traitor needs some fine tuning. TT should never be a Town Investigative role, since their whole purpose is invalidated as TT. You can't even make use of ToS1 Invest results, since they check for blood instead of role. TT Amne should never remember a TI role. Fixing these issues should make the game much more consistent. There's nothing worse than rolling TT TI or being TT Amne and becoming a Coroner. Case in point: There was 0 need for the TT Psychic to visit, he knows exactly who's evil. The only play he can possibly make is selling out his own Coven if they're losing and hoping that town doesn't kill him before the timer expires.
Then all TI claims are confirmed not TT which would make finding TT way easier. Also with TI TT you can go for maj and be a meatshield.

The whole point of TT is not being found, there are shenanigans like selling out own Coven. Which if Jailor was TT then they would've just won. Worst TT is honestly Vet, because they are the weakest turning the TT hunt.

I don't think the list is very town sided, contrary to what 15 said at the end of game 2. Imagine the power of a tpow tt such as monarch or mayor. Also quite a few TIs and TSs can be very strong TTs. All in all, 3 town powers that aren't TT will make a somewhat town sided game, with 2 RTs already gone and easily confirmed.
you know, at 23:45, i actually have to disagree there's a LOT of TTs out there who will say to just get them the next day to buy themselves time and then when it comes time to up them, they weasel it onto someone else it would have been more Townie for 3 to offer themselves up as the lynch for the day instead of offering you 5 instead 5 was still a good candidate for TT, don't get me wrong, but 3 was absolutely not cleared since they were shoving the vote onto someone else in a scenario where a Townie should have no problems dying

defense values were carried over from tos 1, a cleric (doctor) gives powerful defense so you would need an unstoppable attack to beat it, arsonist, jailor, jester stuff like that. im fairly sure crusaders give basic defense to your target, so if you have a powerful or unstoppable attack and atleast basic defense you can survive and kill the crusaders' target
Not quite, I believe crus gives powerful defense to their target, whilst dealing a basic attack to a visitor. Only an unstoppable attack beats crus protect, but powerful rampage roles(berserker, werewolf, sk with bloodlust) can survive and kill the crus. On a related note in tos2 is that specifically revealed mayor can't get defense at all anymore, so even a basic attacking role can kill a mayor guarded by crus or cleric. BG was changed to compensate, making them intercept the attacker entirely, allowing BG to still save mayor from attacks.
All carried over TPs grant the same Defense they used to. Cleric; Powerful | on rev'd mayor; none ~~~ Crusader; Powerful | on rev'd mayor; none ~~~ Trapper; Block 1 Attack | on rev'd mayor; same ~~~ Bodyguard; Block 1 Attack | on rev'd mayor; same

Not a fan of Ghost Town TBH. I believe it removes some strategic depth since if you don't start with maj, you can never get it, since you'll always be outvoted by the graveyard. And in other modes it brings back all the kingmaking that TOS2 was trying to get rid of.

Jester/Exe play ideas: claim spy as exe, then say that your exe target was immune to dreamweaver and therefore not a member of town. claim spy as jester, then when another TI starts pushing someone, say that the person their pushing had just been selected as an executioner's target. claim bodyguard as jester, then when someone you were supposed to be guarding dies, say that you were either on someone else, were vesting, the attacker had astral visits, the attacker was illusioned, that you were roleblocked, that you were pirated, that you were witched, or some other excuse of that nature.

Just had a game where I was jester, claimed invest and randomly accused 8. I said they had blood, they claimed amen vet. They got hung and they were Coven Leader, I became confirmed and never got hung. The next game I was telling the new 8 that story and 4 whispered cool to me when I never whispered them. Pretty crazy

Pipe, everytime i see one of your videos, i have no idea how you come to some of your conclusions, maybe because i haven't been playing for long enough. You do describe what you're doing but a lot of the time, im just lost on how or why you do some things. Maybe a guide where you describe why you're doing something or why you're voting someone.

In the second game, why weren't people jumping on 3 after they were found to be enemies with the jailor, even after the seer was confirmed town?
because the Seer being Town doesn't confirm that 3 is also Town all it means is that the Seer wasn't lying about their results you'd have to prove there's an Enchanter to save 3, but even then, that doesn't rule them out for TT

im interested, do roles like pros or deputy get revealed as TT or do you get the benifit of beeing undetected, since if you get revealed beeing TT as Pros or Deputy is prob really hard, since youre instantly confirmed as TT if you kill town and dont die immediatly but then pros tt prb really strong since you can stop 1 or even 2 days of lynching and even lynch exodia combos or strong roles, im really looking forward seeing tpow as TT in a video
If Tuba Antics' vids are anything to go by (he plays ToS2 TT a lot if you want to see more TT, I believe he has some traitor tpow vids!), they do indeed get revealed because they don't die from killing a townie. With a TT pros or dep you're playing for maj victory rather than a TT hunt victory most of the time.

Dep is always supposed to die if they kill a townie, and they still get the public (Deputy) label by their name once they shoot -- everything works as normal, minus the TT facing no consequences for townie murder. Once revealed as TT (by killing a townie and then not dying from that) any town is gonna hang them ASAP. TT dep cannot fire off a shot and then stay hidden like a conjurer can. I don't believe (but don't quote me on this) that pros or dep can target their own Coven if they're TT either, so they can't use their ability to kill a Coven and confirm themselves. They can buss a Coven with fake results, but that's about it. Because TT dep is strong but forced to out themselves to use their ability, playing for majority is more favorable imo bc dep can use their ability to work towards majority. In order for TT dep to shoot during TT hunt and survive the aftermath, it'd have to be a 2v1. (TT pros can get away with just surviving 2 hunt days and forcing trial on the last day; dep doesn't get that luxury.) A TT hunt victory can totally be done but I feel like it's less reliable, since you have to outright fake claim for so long to stay hidden and are a sitting duck in the meantime.
@@SalamanderMoon yeah i assume especially with pros youre using youre ability to prevent youre coven from getting upvoted or to skip 1 day of voting while killing town, i guess its still very powerfull since either deputy or pros are like a second conjourer and with pros you can kill 2 people if youre fast enough

I think Deputy and Conj should have a 4 day cooldown. After they use their ability, they feel useless.
I mean a Conj could nuke a TownPOW or Jailor claim day 2 maybe, and if the claim was fake then that's a guaranteed Neutral Evil/Neutral Apocalypse/Neutral Killing dead if its normal mode
You could also tell that 3 couldn’t be tt in game 2 because they got enchanted, don’t think that can happen if they are tt

One time i got tavern keeper, got jailed n1, claimed "TK" to jailor (i assumed he will know that i meant tavern keeper because who claims alignment in jail??) but he put down town killing as my claim in his will...
that would be because TK is short for Town Killing, not Tav if you're claiming Tavern Keeper, it's Tav

So something you missed is if the Town Traitor has killing power they can't kill their own coven. Jailor, Pros, Vigi. Pretty sure you can't kill your own teammates. 90 percent sure anyways

Only I dislike tt mode(not just tos2,but in general) ? It punish good towns,as if you get to tt hunt too fast, you won't have time (sometimes mafia would even hang themself on vet claim...) 5 people in team is op (way better than 4 coven + random 2 neutrals) and tt is probably better than any coven class. Something like jailor can give free 3 kills + rb , prosecutor 1kill+1 daytime skip. And even if role isn't that good, you can pretend you ignore coven and play like normal town, finding you is pure rng.

Tk not being tavern keeper is genuinely confusing and something I immediately thought when I saw that role’s name. Honest they probably should have named it something else
nah, it's like people thinking that TP means transporter when it's not Tavern Keeper's been Tav since the rename from Town Drunk during the Alpha because it makes far more sense and TK was already taken by Town Killing long before tav ever existed
@@lorathian TK not being Tavern Keeper is way more confusing that TP not being Transporter (which is all just one word). I'm mostly talking for new players here so to a new player Town Killing has existed just as long as Tavern Keeper i.e. since they started playing. It is definitely confusing and many people will definitely claim TK when they mean Tav. It's not a huge deal or anything, it's just a point of confusion that I foresee leading to some false lynches for years to come.
@@Cream147player nah honestly? new players aren’t dumb. after playing for a bit and seeing how the jargon’s used, they’re going to figure it out miscommunications will still happen while they sort it out, but tav not being TK is probably one of the easier ones since only a handful of roles actually get reduced to their initials and only one of this small number is actually Town; Hex Master (HM), Potion Master (PM), Coven Leader (CL), Serial Killer (SK), Werewolf (WW), sometimes Voodoo Master (VM), and Lookout (LO) As you can see, all it takes is a name being long with no good way to shorten it for it to get initials. This isn’t the case for Tav since it goes to, well, Tav the way Poisoner goes to Pois and Medusa goes to Dusa The difference between Town Protect (TP) and Town Power (TPow/TPower) is probably harder to remember than TK not being Tavern Keeper tbh
