    • The judge made it about himself when he didn't allow the trial to be heard elsewhere like it should have been. The judge also made it about himself when he didn't call a mistrial when that dumb Politician in California threatened the jury which he should have also done. No he didn't do those things cause he wanted to be the one that heard the trial and handed the sentence. It's so obvious this judge made it about himself.

But until then, he will probably get to eat better than most of the rest of us as well as get free medical care. Not that it would do him any good, but he could also earn additional degrees for free in prison. Not that they outweigh the cons, but prison has its benefits.

    • @@seymourelykeley ok, I know that George Floyd was no Botham Jean. He did abuse drugs and he was also an ex-con. But we don’t know for certain that he knew he was using a counterfeit 20. Years ago I got some money from a bank’s ATM, and it turned out that one of the 50s was in fact a counterfeit one. But I had no idea and it wasn’t my fault because I got it directly from a BANK of all places. People who comment on here make it seem that since Floyd wasn’t clean and had a criminal past that it was no big deal that Chauvin suffocated him to death. All I’ve been saying is that whether it’s a convict like George Floyd or a straight arrow like Botham Jean, no human being deserves to be suffocated to death like that, especially by someone whose job was to “serve and protect” and who should have known better. Keep in mind also that Chauvin and Tao had numerous blemishes on their service record and should not have been permitted to remain on the force In the first place.

They can arrest ANYONE they see that is breaking the law and that includes arresting another police officer. This is the problem in America. A police officer isn't the law. Chauvin, eventhough he killed a person, he is also a victim of the out of control criminals out on the street and the pure corruption in this government. Corrupt politicians need this drama so the attention goes to this angry dumb cop. I don't buy it, I don't feel sorry for Floyd because he is not here anymore, I feel a little sorry for Chauvin but still could not care less and you either, you are just afraid of been called names. Floyd's family only care about the money they are going to get, I guarantee you they will not help anyone, and they shouldn't because they are free to do whatever they want with the money. I watched the video of this during that time and I thought to myself: This officer had people screaming at him, the man under him was begging for his life and he callously kept the pressure on this mans airway and it was one of the cruelest things I have ever seen an officer do. I am glad he was found guilty and is serving a long sentence, if Floyd didn't die, it would have been a crime anyway, but when someone dies, you don't dismiss it. Rewatch the prosecution’s own debate and witnesses and see if you have the same opinion. • I will say that I believe this case is surrounded by an extensive amount of media hoopla. However, what Chauvin did is incomprehensible. He had multiple times to get up. It's imperative for Police Officers to understand that the macho, I'm in charge attitude is not always necessary. Sometimes, especially with being a beat cop - having a certain level of communication and respect for a human being can go an extremely long way. I grew up in the HOOD of Chicago! I watched cops be on a first name basis with people in the neighborhood that were considered thugs yet those same "thugs" respected those cops although the cops were being authoritative yet personable. Let's remember what Floyd was accused of... something so minor that would have been considered a minor offense. Therefore, the extreme actions from Chauvin was just wasteful. That is just one battle that he should have decided not to pick that day! I am not excusing the original detaining of Floyd. However, he should have had his day in court to face those charges, not be murdered in the street by an Officer while already cuffed and on the ground! People need to stop excusing the fact that he unnecessarily kneeled down on this man for an extended time! Anyone with common sense should know that can lead to loss of breath. If you don't believe it let someone kneel on your neck while you're cuffed to see how you feel! PERIOD
