ngl one thing that makes Dweller's not nearly as scary is when you can't see their entire body. every time they just loom over the player and all you can see when fighting them is their legs/crotch. Make them hunch over or something, show their face

honestly the dweller mods fell of with the trend of redesigning the exact same dweller and youtubers promoting by saying "mInEcRaFt hAs nEvEr bEen sCarIer" the only hope i have is from idk some guy and his manbear
yeah dwellers are overhyped and the formula was bad before the mass redesigning anyway. It's all based around ooo scary f ace ooo no actual thought goes into building tension. The manbear is probably the only horror mod that seems to do it right
I think the thing with minecraft horror is its really based around your paranoia, questioning whether or not something is there. If you install a mod about a mob that hunts you, then you already know its coming. Plus the dwellers are literally fightable lol
unfortunately idksomeguy's entire manbear thing was enhanced by animations and purposeful suspense in his videos, he uses cinematography to enhance his videos, sadly its not actually like that
Quite indeed the Manbear is something that i hope for to be good hopefully and mind if somebody tells me what his shaderpack is.
I love your Showcases, but these Caver Dwellers mods are just being annoying, they don't bring anything really impactful new, just a new model of the same mob.

I feel like if there’s any unique Stalker mobs that could be made at the moment, it could be a non-hostile stalker which then can track down and let a hostile one know your location. The hostile one would not rush you down, but rather remain hidden from the player’s vision, maybe only until it is maybe within 3 blocks will it attack. Another idea I had is something similar to the ghost miners from Alex’s Mobs, except they’re not mining towards ores, but simply watching the player, a mob that stalks you does not have to be hostile. A final enemy thought I had is simply a Pillager Scout that watches you from a distance and if you don’t kill them a Pillager Patrol spawns and they follow it along until it despawns, where the Pillager Scout also despawns.
worst thing is that one of the modders that improved upon the cave dweller mod quit because everyone was just stealing their code and adding a different model when you can always do that with a resource pack kinda sad ngl, not to mention this trend is stale. i believe that if we want to make minecraft scary we should go through the route of b3313 or some unnverving thing instead of the easy jumpscare

I think they might be doing it for engagement at this point. There's no way they haven't seen how much it bothers anyone above 11 years old.
