I’m just happy as much as it made me stressed the Kings never gave up and played some amazing hockey. That’s what the playoffs is all about.

I mean, the goal was horrible...but it was only emblematic of exactly how the Oilers had been playing. Looking at the shots on goal, the Kings almost doubled the Oilers. The Kings pressed hard, and didn't make the Oilers feel safe even in their own zone. The Oilers didn't press the attack as they should have, or this game would have been over a LONG time ago.
As much as I agree they still closed out. Compare this to the current best team ‘Boston’ that is now in a game 7 after giving up 7 goals.
Congrats to the Edmonton Oilers. Oh boy! I am sure hoping for an all Canadian Cup Final…yay…. - Gary.

lets be honest. the kings didn't lose the series in game 6, they lost it in game 4 when they blew a 3-0 lead and ended up losing in overtime.
Sorta how winnipeg lost that series in game 3 with that comeback and ot loss..

Absolutely brilliant series by both teams. Hats off to LA for playing their hearts out, it really showed in every game, especially this one. Amazing performance by the Oilers, they really found their stride as a team as the series progressed. Now let's keep pushing and take it to Vegas!!!

It could have been 3 1 oilers in the series I remember and they lost their home games when they couldn't hold on to their leads.

That goal horn has the only sweet pipes in the league, in my opinion, triple pump locomotive. Thank you, my never-quit-Kings for making it an interesting series. This bodes well for the future. Another much needed victory for the Oilers organization on their road to redempsh. Break a leg, and keep up the tactically sound plays onwards.
For anyone wondering, Skinners stick actually broke on the play where he gave the puck away. It completely bent at the paddle for a split second and the puck went right under it, they showed it on replay after the game zoomed in. So it wasn't actually his fault.
His stick. His responsibility. His decision to make that play. Don't be one of those "woke" entities demanding all the twisted rights and privileges while shakin' all the responsibilities off.
You don't make that pass in the playoffs anyways. Cover it or put it behind the net

In retrospect this series could have turned out very different for both sides. The Oilers could have won it in 4 or 5 had a few plays went their way earlier. LA could have closed it in 5 if they didn’t blow a 3-0 lead in game 4. Love playoff hockey, you never really know until it’s over
The Kings were never going to win this series, despite the assistance from the refs. Same garbage went on in the 2’nd period. High stick to Kane’s face right in front of the Kings net. Kane’s head snaps back and he goes sliding to the boards holding his face. The ref is standing there just a few feet away. No way he didn’t see that, no call. Skinner is slew footed while handling the puck behind the net. Everyone in the building saw that, no call. The penalty calls on the Oilers were fair, but what I don’t like to see is the refs trying to manage the outcome with their whistles. The Kings won 2 games in overtime. The Oilers won one game in overtime and 3 games in regulation. The Kings are a very good team and they fought hard, but you have to give credit where credit is due. The Oilers were the better team by a bigger margin than than last year. The Kings lost to the Oilers in game 7.: in the first round last year. I think a lot of people didn’t realize how good the Kings were last year.
King got a lot of help from the officials…..
That's why I had this series going to 7 in my bracket. That obviously didn't happen, but at least the Oilers won.
@@orwellknew9112 kopitar stopped skating after the skinner slew foot, even he though it was a penalty and the refs still didn’t call it.
@@orwellknew9112 I was cheering for the Oilers and yes reffing was horrible. But to say the Kings were never going to win this series is a bit of a stretch. If LA locked up game 4, and had a 3-1 series lead, they would have had a legit shot to eliminate Edmonton.

@@jabronijackpot Yeah, I saw that. But it's not the first time the Oilers goalies have screwed up handling the puck, and as I said, it seems to be quite common this playoff year for several teams. In an age when teams don't want to take any chances, it seems this is one the coaches should be minimizing. Particularly so with Edmonton, as defense is going to be the determining factor for them again - we all know they can score, but so can a guy who intercepts your giveaway ten feet in front of the net.

This game would’ve been disastrous for the Oilers… brutal stick play with Skinner, the 2 powerplay goals by the king and yet Yamamoto seals the deal.
Skinners stick was broken, tough break, but they found a way to win. Hats off to the Kings.
As a Oilers fan I can say for sure the LA Kings fans have way more class then the clowns who say they are Vegas fans!!

Sh!t happens.The shot differential shows he did his job most of the night and the fact his team bailed him out after all the times he bailed them out shows the character of this group. Also so happy for Yamamoto for getting the game winner. He works so hard every night that it's nice to see him get a bit more of the spot light.

Watching this serie as a Habs fan, 4-2 for Oilers doesn't feel like a typical 4-2 beatdown. It feels like this serie could have gone either way. Congrats to the Oilers and credit to the Kings for being a really tough adversary!
