1976 OAKLAND RAIDERS TEAM IS LOADED WITH NFL HALL OF FAMERS...
QUATERBACK KENNY THE SNAKE STABLER IS A HALL OF FAMER. BOTH HIS WIDE RECEIVERS ARE HALL OF FAMERS TOO!!! FRED BILENTIKOFF & CLIFF BRANCH. HIS TIGHT END WAS A HALL OF FAMER TOO. THE GHOST DAVE CASPER.
Needs to be more of them in that hall.
Who? Maybe 5 lol
@@michaelwworthingtonjr2939 7 Raiders: Upshaw, Brown, Shell, Hendricks, Stabler, Biletnikoff, and Guy.
12 Raiders from this team In HOF: Stabler, Branch, Bilitnikoff (sp?), Casper, Guy, Madden, Davis, Shell, Otto, Upshaw, Hendricks, Willie Brown.
The 1983 team is vastly underrated by the experts. Only 3 teams beat them in the regular season, and the Raiders avenged two of those losses in the postseason, destroying the Seahawks and Redskins on the way to becoming world champions. The final scores don't always show it, but consider this: in 3 playoff games, the Raiders held second-half leads of 28 points, 27 points, and 29 points. That is total domination. No one came close to beating them in the postseason.
You mean Seattle beat them twice obviously
@@quorthonschuldiner5197 The Raiders obliterated Seattle in the AFC title game. That avenged their regular season losses to Seattle. They won the one that counted! The only regular season loss they didn't avenge was to the Cardinals. Meh.
2002 Raiders and 1974 Raiders should be in the Top 100 as well.
while maybe the worst of the super teams 1980 raiders were probably my favourite, underdogs renegades and bad asses no one expected to win. Won 4 playoff games 3 on the road.
That's my favourite Raiders team of all time. They had no business being world champions, but they found a way. Easily the most thrilling, nail-biting season ever as a Raider fan.
The Oakland Raiders Just Win Baby!!
I liked the Raiders in 1980 when I was living in N. Cali was a fan, then in 1983 I fell in love with them and bleed silver and black today....remembering that long Marcus run and that intimidating D....it was out of this world.
Just like the Cowboys, the Raiders was one of those teams one either loved or hated.
Absolutely, like and subscribe!
The 1976 Raiders team is the best one of the three teams to win a championship because that's the year that I was born and the SUPERBOWL took place in Southern California where I grew up.
It was, also, the last SB to end with the sun still up in the air.
The 1983 Raiders is the best team ever, even better than the 1985 Bears.
I have to agree, that team had it all. Strong running game that could consistently produce, deep threats on the outside, with running backs and a tight end that could make plays in the passing game. A dynamic front four coupled with a linebacking corps that could shut down the run and cover tight ends and running backs, and then back that up with two lock down corners and safeties that could hit. That team was hard to beat and a pleasure to watch.
1985 bears were good but also overrated they had a very weak schedule year and the NFC Central was the worst division in the nfl that year bears were only team that had a winning record in that division that year
That would have been the greatest Super Bowl
I WISH I WAS ATLEAST A TEENAGER FROM 1960 TO 1985 WHEN MY BELOVED RAIDERS WAS THE WINNINGEST FRANCHISE IN ALL TIME NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE HISTORY!!!
I have watched them since 1973
1980 OAKLAND RAIDERS DEFENSE: TED HENDRICKS, MATT MILLEN, ROD MARTIN, LESTER HAYES, &, MORE...
Between The 1976 & 1983 Raiders. are my most favorite for sure. But if you had to pick the one, The LA Raiders of 83 are a reason why the Raiders are so much big in Popular Culture.
Great video - wish it were 40 minutes long! Millen made a great point about the entire 1980 team, especially how many different players on defense made key plays all season and throughout the playoffs.
The 83 Raider team is by far their best team with the most talent and their greatest defensive line and secondary in their history!
those teams were great i remeber the 80 and 83 teams the best
The 1983 Raiders were the last AFC team to win a Super Bowl until the 1997 Broncos. From 1984 to 1996 it was all NFC getting the rings.
Lamonica was better than Namath at that time.
Al Davis said to when I asked him who were your favorite players in the AFL that were not Raiders he said Lance Alworth and Joe Namath those two really truly made the AFL
I'M A DIE HARD MEMBER OF THE LOS ANGELES RAIDERS NATION 4 LIFE OR NO LIFE EST 1982!!! I'M STILL ALL IN#
The 83’ Raiders were a great team but squandered chances in 84’ BUT SPECIFICALLY 82’.!! What HURT ME THE MOST Was in the 70’s it seemed like instead of focusing on beating the Steelers we focused on fighting.. & what HURT ME THE MOST WAS when we had B. Jackson it was like “Ok whn Bo comes in we’ll turn things around.” INSTEAD OF BEING LIKE “We already have Pro- Bowlers & All-Pros when WE ADD BO WITH MARCUS , TODD CHRISTIAN , T. BROWN with our O-Line we’re going to be UNSTOPPABLE.” See complete different way of thinking.!! I feel like we should definitely have more than 3 SUPER BOWLS.!! But the Greatness of the Raiders is in its Future.!!
Listen to what Matt Millen is saying! Hear those words about team. Listen to what Foo says about team. THAT is what is happening in Vegas right now! They know what it means to be a Raider. They understand the meaning of COMMITMENT to Excellence. The commitment part of that has been missing in parts. The league is gonna learn why they fear the dark.
Ultimate Raider team would be 76 offense and 83 defense....
Phil valopolooza must answer the phone like this “hello, I will do it”
!980 was the year the Browns should have beaten them but the wind prevented them from going for a game winning FG and had to pass leading to the infamous Red Right 88 interception
Grew-up near Pittsburgh and was a Steelers Fan.... 1983 Raiders were scary, but the 1980 Raiders pulled-off the most unlikeliest of Super Bowl Champions ever... Did Lester Hayes have BEST Season ever as a CB???
1983 NFL SUPER BOWL XVIII WORLD CHAMPIONS LOS ANGELES RAIDERS HAS THE GREATEST CORNERBACKS TANDEM IN NFL ALL TIME HISTORY!!!/ NFL HALL OF FAMER CB/ MIKE HAYNES 22# 1980 NFL DPOY AWARD WINNER & NFL INTERCEPTIONS LEADER IN A SEASON WITH 13 INTERCEPTIONS & NEEDS TO BE IN THE NFL HALL OF FAME ASAP# CB LESTER THE MOLESTER HAYES 37#!!! 2 SHUTDOWN, LOCKDOWN, BALLHAWKS, AT THE OUTSIDE CORNERBACKS FOR THE SUPERBOWL XVIII WORLD CHAMPIONS LOS ANGELES RAIDERS#1!!! ALSO WITH SUPERBOWL XVIII MVP & HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER FROM USC TROJANS RB MARCUS ALLEN#
Lester Hayes deserves to be a Hall of Famer too! Super pissed that he’s not getting in this year again
Your brain is broken. LA is not the Raiders home. Neither is LV.
TOUCHDOWN RRRRRRRRAIDERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Super Vowl 18 was the biggest heartbreak of you young life. The 83 Raiders beat the greatest team in the history of the NFL up to that point, and prevented a dynasty. My hats off to them.
Illusions of granduer is a mental problem. You should see someone about that.
I’ll post the Washington clips soon! I hope you like and subscribe to my channel. I’ll bring that video to you soon
@@plantfeeder6677 You mean "delusions of grandeur". You should see someone about that.
What about 2002 raider team?
New England had them beaten in 76 until the gutless refs refused to call Holding on Villapiano vs Russ Francis. Grogan's helmet hasn't come back down yet.
Where is the 2002 Raiders? That team was loaded.
Wasn't for Harris Bleier being hurt Steelers would crushed them
They played on opening day in 1976 Harris and Bleier were there and the Raiders still beat them 31-28
@@michaelleroy9281 steelers went from mediocre to best ever in 1976 - starting 1-4 then winning the next 9 in a row - allowing 28 points TOTAL with three consecutive shutouts. then crushed Baltimore but lost franco and rocky in that game. only then were the raiders able to beat them.
'83 > '76
In an 8-year stretch, they lost 5 out of 6 AFC championship games. Their playoff record is full of disappointment. Great regular season team in the 70's but always choked in the playoffs.
