Sheep Hunt of the South | BEAR OFF THE GROUND w/ TRADITIONAL BOW | Bear Horizon Episode 4

2019 ж. 5 Қар.
61 110 Рет қаралды

Hunting bears with a traditional bow, off the ground, on public land in Arkansas is the pinnacle of Clay Newcomb's hunting charts. On his first hunt in 2019, he had a unforgettable hunt that ended with the hide and meat of a majestic beast being hauled out on the back of his trusty mule, Izzie. We've been calling bear hunting without the use of bait or hounds on public land in the Eastern Deciduous Forest the Sheep Hunt of the South! Check out www.bear-hunting.com and the Bear Hunting Magazine Podcast.

  • I like how you use a mule rather than an ATV or just a drag. Makes it all just that much more traditional and natural Clay. Well done!

    • @@bearhuntingmagazine , Absolutely i traveled over 3000 miles to hunt public land found the beech in the mountains and to stalk into 30 yards before the wind switched. I was too far and had to let him go, it has only made me more determined to find another and he will be worth it, this is why I chose the bow. It's mentally, physically challenging and then add on stalking on foot to bow range is a real thrill. Thanks for all you do,regards Wayne
