Black manta kills and pillages, basically a pirate. His dad dies *black manta* “why do bad things happen to me, I’m so upset”
Because you cause them to happen to you. You cause you'r own troubles.
Dude is the poster child for victim mentality...
Yeah a very high tech, murderous, unstable pirate
yeah, the guy is clearly delusional. Oh yeah I can do whatever I want without any consequences, I don't think so psycho!!!
Haha like that.
Aquaman did show mercy. He pulled the spear out of Dad and left Manta unharmed to help him. Dad then continued to open fire which only resulted in more danger for his son, and his inability to escape
YEP THEY SOWED THE WIND, AND NOW THEY ARE GOING TO REAP THE WHIRLWIND - Bomber Harris WW2

@@vatarants He didnt pierce any vitals or Organs plus he could move his Granate launcher he wouldn't have died on Blood lost. But that's not the Queston the question HOW this Man could still move his arm I mean Arthur Pierced the whole shoulder
I will admit it, Manta does care for his dad even though they were villains, they were still family before his father died. That hits deep.
Makes you think what Walter said in Spies in Disguise might be true about there's no good or bad, just people.
He literally killed a guy 5 minutes before no sympathy for his dad
I really love this scene, because Momoa's line: "Dad? That's your kid? Shame on you." It hits hard because you know how good of a relationship Aquaman has with his own father and how good of a single father he was. It's like seeing somebody you can't help because he's under the thumb of someone who brought him down an entirely wrong path. Aquaman can only really feel bad for the Black Manta because in just a short moment you can figure out a pretty good picture of how everything went wrong for him. But what Aquaman doesn't know is that Black Manta's own father raised him the exact same way, he's still very in the wrong for continuing the cycle, but it's more complicated this way. It's a real issue in our world that kids turn into the adults you nurture them to be, and not everybody is lucky enough to be raised right with a good moral compass.
And whats crazy is Aquaman is going to essentially raise Black Mantas son as his own when he trains him to become the 2nd Aqualad😂😂😂 damn, took his daddy and his son from him. But black manta also kills aquamans son in the comics so yeah😢

@The Bengalee Sceptic in traditional heroic literature, which aquaman fits into, the key difference between a hero and a villain is having mercy. The hero is suppose to rise above common sensebilities such as yours and do what's right. Because without it there is only contempt and anger at each side and very little distinguishing who's good and who is bad. This scene is a classic example. The father may not have deserved to be saved, but by doing so, Arthur could have prevented the creation of another villain. By not saving him he created a new cycle of hatred which resulted in far more death and destruction.

haha bro that’s so funny I forgot to laugh
@@bruhman6079 no u
I believe it’s a joke.
0.3 secs? Dafuq
"You killed innocent people. You ask the sea for mercy" I love how he's the good guy but he's not a boy scout.
Manta's father literally caused his own death while trying to kill Aquaman, and Manta hates Aquaman for not saving his father. Sociopaths...
Aquaman is badass, actually in comics he does kill him.
Just imagine, instead of aquaman, it was superman in this scene. But not just any superman, injustice superman
What a emotional scene I literally cried in theatre even till now I used to. 😝
*VERY SATISFYING* what nerve asking for help after trying to kill him..insane
Fun fact: Black Manta's father played Black Manta in Justice League Unlimited.
Huh, kinda like an honorary passing the torch moment
Jonathan Seitz technically it was Devil ray since for some reason they couldn’t exactly have the rights to black manta with a supposed Aquaman series coming out at the time
No he didn't LMAO Carl lumbly did the voice both show plus guest stars on supergirl as martian manhunter father now the actor was on that show but he voiced others character's like as Mr. Terrific
Devil ray
He also played a role in the 100
I like how aquaman isn’t just that dude who talks to fish but he’s actually a badass, super strong, and capable warrior from An advanced society who just happens to be able to speak to fish, and even when he does speak to them it’s always so awesome
He’s the guy from Fortnite 😂
Splitzz YT, bruh😑
I like how aquaman dominated the whole thing
Dude..your aqua man is like Santa Claus...it's not real
Splitzz YT It doesnt matter bruh
Who came after aquaman 2 trailer 🎉🎉😊
It’s inferior to this masterpiece
Only guy who was able to save Titan submersible.......
Black Manta' Daddy has to be the stupidest villain I've ever seen in my life.
Blame the writers
Shitty people with stupidity can actually do something like this and blame that "This world has no mercy, it robbed me everything."... And there are tons of this kind of people roaming in this world.
@@NightWolf3342 doesn't excuse the fact it's stupid writing. And no man, insane or otherwise would repeat the same retarded scenario. Let alone twice after seeing it do shit with deadshot to the chest.
I burst out laughing when I saw BM's dad own himself after AM let him off.
@@Kspice9000 never underestimate human stupidity!
I love how the dceu turns a character no one cared about into a badass.
Soo true I never cared about Aquaman until this movie released 😂
Many people cared about him this movie just turned him edgier.
He was already a badass
@@lordskeletor4558 Edgier? He was cracking so many jokes in this movie it felt like I was watching a Spider-Man movie. On top of that he still looked badass.
@@boy_wxnder2662 listen pal you keep your opinion I really don't give a fuck anymore
This was my favorite scene. The " Let's not make it a habit" lol line had to be one of the coolest in the movie.
Yahya Abdul Manteens acting is fucking phenomenal.. I think this is why the movie was so good, what a great start. 😅❤
Help us after we tried to kill you..... 😂😂😂 yeah right bro
Logan Williams - I believe the words forgiveness, mercy, and redemption were created for such scenarios. Everyone has done things in the past that we aren’t proud of, however it is what we do in the present that defines our character. Aquaman at that very moment became the villain as he just let two people supposedly die. That’s not very honourable or valorous, he made a enemy for life where he could have made an ally. Later Aquaman even contemplates the ethics in that action after he realized that the son not only survived but was hunting him for vengeance, Aquaman was remorseful that he did what he did and it demonstrates his character growth. Black Mantha also needs to repent his actions and take responsibility but that is something he is not capable of yet, he is blinded by is own rage to see the fallacy of his own judgment. This is where Aquaman really separates himself contrasted to his antagonistic counterparts, even though you can empathize with their positions, they never supersede their own hate for understanding what that hate was geared towards and how Aquaman overcomes it truly is what makes him a hero.
3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399370 I really don’t care. They wouldn’t have became allies that never happens.
@@user-vr5zk9ox8d no he didn't become the villain. They attacked him multiple times. They are the bad guys. It's called consequences, and they come whether you like it or not. Not to mention he gave manta's dumbass dad a chance and he still fired ANOTHER 40mm grenade at him.
One big unstable boi - Well, the whole point of empathy is to attempt to see another individual’s point of view. How would you feel if someone killed your father? I’m sure it wouldn’t feel good (supposing you have one), or even a father figure. For most people it’s devastating to watch them die in front of you with no control. Also, keep in mind that the life he lived is what he was born into. It challenges the entire theme of nurture versus nature and how the human condition correspondingly reacts to it in the situation. It was a path set out for him by his father as piracy was probably their only escape from whatever third world country they were from. Watch the movie “Captain Phillips” and you will understand. Another point I would like to bring up is that an antagonist does Not need to evil, or the “bad guy” to be a villain. As that was a belief someone else brought up. Proof of this can be seen in internal struggles, such as addiction, or even environmental conflicts, or just hostile environments. As long as there are no “bad guys” this trope applies. Another example are “fallen heroes.” The title character from the play “Macbeth” is a fallen hero. Another popular hero that ascends to the dark side is Anakin Skywalker from the Star Wars franchise who turns from Jedi to Sith. A supporting protagonist can become an antagonist by betraying a main protagonist. There are also antagonists that could be argued to be the “good guy.” A perfect example is Emily Brontë’s Heathcliff. You really empathize with his position because you understand what he has gone through and why he takes his quest of vengeance. However, it is also inferred, as Confucius once said, “Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.” This equally applies to Manta.
Quick, quick, quick, let's go Kiss me and take off your clothes 😍😍🤩🤩😋😋😋
Pirate: Grenade launchers don't hurt you?! Aquaman: Just my feelings.
It looks like it actually hurt him, it just failed to kill him
It hurt him but it didn’t leave a mark
@@TonyJaaFan1587 he definetly took a while to get up and while not doing much damage to his skin it definetly seems like from everything it was the one thing that was closer to take him down, at least leave him unconscious
@Agnish Roy blunt trauma is still blunt trauma, he did took a while to regain his footing and while not seriously injured it sure didnt looked pleasant and the first thing he did was get rid of the grenade launcher before it could be used again
"Ow!" Best line in the scene!
