My dad is an amazing man! He gave so much even when he didn't have to! We are so thankful to give him this car back!
My story is the opposite. I was dating this girl and then I dumped her and bought a Corvette. Still brings tears to my eye every time I see that beauty in my garage.
My uttermost respects to you sir, for not commenting the usual bullshit that will bring tears to the usual sentimental assholes on youtube comments.
Your ex or the car

Cars before hoes. This is a man who knows what's important.
❤️✌🏼
i love how he knows exactly when, where, and how he bought his original car.
Prove that he love his car but he had something important to do. Real man
As a car enthusiast, you never forget a car buying experience, especially involving your dream car
Beautiful story!
Yea,and has no idea when his wedding anniversary is!! Awesome!!!!
А нашим старикам корветы не дарят
Sold his car, married a woman with 2 kids, adopted and raised them. Whew! This is so beautiful! Sir, you deserve every blessing that is poured down on you! True definition of “love’em them like my own” 🙏🏽💯
“This is an automatic… Mine was a stick” I love this guy, and his stories. 😂 A true car guy.

Wtf!!!
"This is an automatic, mine was a stick" HAHA sounds like something I'd say LOL What a wonderful gentleman.
but his had the smaller 348 motor, this one has the 454. but if it was a manual 454 he might have shit himself lmao

@Oliva Gina That comment is like finding a $ 100 bill on the ground and then complaining it's crumpled!!! LMFAO!!
@Oliva Gina He has no left foot.......
@Oliva Gina It's a joke. I was kidding. Someone said it's a crime that's is not a 4 speed. Why would he want an automatic. Sorry if I upset you. I was trying to make people laugh in these rough times.
How long he embraced his daughter before looking at the car tells a lot about what kind of man he is. Respect
Yes you are so right! He sold his baby for another baby. 2 at that.
An absolute gentleman
"I dont know but we'll find out tomorrow morning when the police look for it!" Love his humor and so precious he doesnt know it's for him yet!!! Wonderful.!! Thanks for sharing this joy.
The Dad he didn't have to be. THAT is a real man!!!
Well said
AMEN💯🙏
Like the Brad Paisley song 'He didn't have to be.' I shed a tear every time I hear it. Congratulations to this good man! And his great family!
Really really a real man.
Takes a real man to bring up someone elses kids. Takes an even bigger one to raise and love them like his own. You deserve it buddy. Enjoy.
My stepdad raised me and my brother and I remember he had to sell his white ford bronco because we needed money. So one day I will get him another one.
Exactly ❤️
Agreed 💯. Would only add being a parent is more then genetics. Too many who bring up their biological kids abuse and neglect them.
@@vjreimedia And you and thankfully many others prove it’s not just genetics. 👏🙏
Amen
This man is a gentleman. He took in 2 kids that he didn't have to and loved them like they were his own and then they gave back to thank him for all he'd done🙏🏽😊
It is so very touching to see the scene when she handed her the key n said " I love you dad" when they were hugging. Yes, the 40 years of his caring them in solidly proven father hood is unbelievably invaluable. And the return of his dreamt car which he sold 40 years before he married her mother has been a truly right gift. What an expression of sincere love exchange between them !
The fire in his eyes after starting that bad boy took him back 40 years
You could see it.

The look on his face when he fired up that big block was awesome. He deserved that car. Great job to you for returning the gesture. Love it 😉
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
Could you imagine. The day he sold that car. Watching it drive away, knowing that he was doing the right thing, letting go of something so special. No way he could have imagined, one day. The very children he sold that car to take care of would one day bring it back to him. Beautiful
Should have given him a new Vette.
It would've truly awesome if they had found his actual car. They probably didn't have the serial number for it
😭👍
@@moore4615 Why? It wouldn't have any meaning to him then. The fact that it was his same car makes it so much more meaningful.

Someone should make a movie of this. Share his life, his struggles, his love. Just an ordinary man changing the life of others in such a loving way.
On Christmas Day 2011 I gave my dad a new car as a gift. A Honda Jazz. It was one of the most powerful and emotional moments of my life. Luckily he survived to enjoy a year or two with it as he passed away on 10 august 2014.

My Dad has been in my life for 32 years this April. In fact, he called my mom for their first date on his birthday: April 26th. I found the 1968 Plymouth Road Runner model kit and I will build it for him this Christmas. He said 7 months ago that it was his dream car.
Ur dumb this is his car he sold it's not what he wanted it's what he gave up for a family

Such a special surprise. You can tell how much they love him and how great of a father he has been all of these years. He’s a special man and to know he stepped up to be a father and raise two children as if they were his own just shows how great of a man he is.
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
You could see the youth pop back into this man's eyes. The second that bad boy fired. Oh my.
Yup. Exactly what I was going to say. That was that young man's excitement in his eyes like, "hey, let's go for a drive in my sportscar!" And saying it to his best girl as they drove into the sunset. 🌄
Yep, he was truly young again.
Great guy and a great car. I cried a little. Not gonna lie.
He took care of his family, and his family is taking care of him. That’s life ❤️

Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a dad. I'm crying tears of joy feels like as if I was there, and You can tell from his story how he loved his car. He has beautiful heart but what gets me is his generosity and unselfishness.

I can identify w/ love of a car. I’m a 76 year old lady who still yearns for the 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 that was my first car, Autumn Bronze w/ white leather interior. Gorgeous. I had to sell mine too, but occasionally I browse the Internet for that model & color car & remember what a blast I had.
What a BEAUTIFUL story I worked hard in my life for what little I have now. I worked 2 jobs to give my 2 SONS a good child hood.with all the love a father could do. And whent with out our SELVES. And never got a thank you . THIS GENTLEMAN MUST BE SO PROUD OF HIS SON AND FAMILY. AND ITS NOT ABOUT MONEY OR MATERIAL THINGS ITS ABOUT APPRECIATEING LOVE AND TRUST .
I think the real gift he got was getting to be their dad. Source: I'm also an adoptive father. It is amazing.
I'm adopted kid. In a sense I wished I could've bought another rumble seat car for dad. I'm going to try to restore the last family home. I have to take it down to the bones. He passed on father's day in 94. I helped build- remodel a trailer. Took out 3 exterior walls. That was in 1979. It's in a flood zone & hate to sink that kind of money in it but, I can't find another place to live except on that property. I'm living in a trailer next door
@@Rosethatwantstomove He got to be your dad. If he's anything like me, I guarantee he valued that experience more than any car you could've given him.

hello Terry how are you doing 😊
This video made a full grown man cry. This gentlemen reminded me so much of my wife’s grandfather that passed this last year. He was close to me and will always be. I love how he noticed the car from a distance and gave a life experience that was from in his mind. He at the time probably gave this car up for his responsibilities and didn’t question it at the time. The fact that you could genuinely see the love and the appreciation when he realized it was his brought tears to my eyes. This gentlemen’s exactly what we need more of. He deserves this car a thousand times.
I saw it on a different cropped version of this video, but the story I saw is that he sold it to be able to propose to his children's mother, then adopt them soon after. The license plate is YDHT standing for "You Didn't Have To". He loved them so much he took them on as if he didn't know a day without them, and I'm so glad he was able to have this amazing return of that same love and care. I don't even call my mom "step", she's mom through and through. It takes a very special kind of person to love like that, each and every one deserves to be given this piece of beautiful Karma.
❤
