A lot of people don't think so, but they're only saying that because Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, Pete Davidson, Cecily Strong, Chris Redd, Melissa Villasenor, and Alex Moffat left and they dumped Aristotle Athari after barely using him. But as long as Weekend Update is still strong, the show still has people like Kenan Thompson, Chloe Fineman, Bowen Yang, Heidi Gardner, Ego Nwodim, Mikey Day, and Andrew Dismukes, they give the underused cast members like Punkie Johnson and their current clutch of feature players (Longfellow, Hernandez, Kearney, Troast, and Walker) a chance, and the Please Don't Destroy guys are still on the writer's staff, then the show will get by okay.

Like I know damn well if I tried to explain who tf Chrissy Chlapecka is to a heterosexual audience I'd lose them at 'gen-z bimbocore' but if I so much as thought about her hard enough in a club at least 30 twinks would just *know.* Edit: They're very much a Gen-Z icon, started on TikTok and blew up for being one of the leading 'bimbotok' accounts, which were all about reclaiming the concept of the 'bimbo' in a queer, feminist lens. She's an activist, musician, and all-around icon who has a chokehold on a good 60-70% of the queer youth.
