  • I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. My husband passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago and I know that those "bewitching hours" can be difficult to relax into. That was the time of day I spent most with my husband - dinner and relaxing together after work. Now, I feel anxiety creeping up as dinner approaches until I fall asleep. I think having a happy place of distraction is always beneficial and I'm glad you found something that worked to help soothe you. Watching your videos is often a place I turn to help calm my own anxiety down. :)

  • Hello , Have not got into the flip part yet but I have to comment. you keep saying it has no purpose but you are wrong. It brings you joy, keeps you busy, clams your mind. I'd say that's one hell of a purpose. Mental health is very important. I have a personal rings I carry around with me everywhere and it too is for my mental health. It helps me keep hands busy ( bad skin issues, so no poking and picking ) plus my mind. Man my mind can sure ruin a good day. Im glad you jumped in and said f it I'm doing this for me!!

  • You probably thought that you had to reset every month because lots of KZheadrs do…. I love Cocoa Daisy and it was overwhelming to me to reset each month… over time i realized that I need to plan in a slightly more structured planner and use those things in a way that works for me. I have a Sterling Ink B6, TN for work, and weeks… I’m still a work in process but they are working well for me at this time

  • I'm sorry to hear you've been struggling with your job. I hope you find something you enjoy. We've had so much organizational change where I work and I think I have an ulcer because of it. As for my planner, I decided to do a complete reset. I'm using a passport-sized horizontal weekly booklet from Sterling Ink paired with a passport sized grid notebook to do plain-jane daily notes pages. No stickers, no fancy layouts, just jot down what I need to do each day and then cross it off. It's helping me manage the chaos. I've committed to using these until I finish them.

  • Just to add something to think about - as you look around my age, I wanted to bring up that a sudden ramp up of anxiety can be part of perimenopause and menopause. As this is something I'm starting to study for my own benefit, it's amazing the number of symptoms besides hot flashes that can be linked to that change in life. I highly recommend any women in our age group look into and study everything involved with that process, it's eye opening.

  • I never had anxiety either until after I went through menopause, which my doctor said can often trigger anxiety in women who have never had issues before. I, too, love Nessie's Rings and all the fun "pretties" she puts in hers! What a great idea! I may have to build one using one of my old disc-bound set-ups with a pretty cover!

  • I get it! I get it! I have all these “things” precious to me but not “useful” items. Saved for a someday purpose. Well, heck, why not just put them all together and actually enjoy them. You invented a context for the things we love. Well Nessy (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) invented it but somehow, I hear and understand your reasoning and process. Yes! It makes sense to me, no more waiting for someday with a specific purpose. No longer feeling crap about not using the things I love. The fiddling and phaff IS the purpose and it pays off. There IS benefit. No more delayed gratification. Yes, I would very much enjoy flip throughs. I’m very happy for you! You’re taking good care of yourself!

I think the reason that some many of us love you is because you are so real! You are like a friend that comes to visit every week and we have great conversations about life and planning. I wish nothing but the best for you in the new chapter of your life for which the page has not turned yet!

All of a sudden i wudbhave panic and anxiety attacks. I couldnt breathe several er trips later, i understood it was panic attack. I take homeopathic medicines. Even now I do get anxiety. You might try to massage BACITRACIN w Zinc into cuticle/living skin area of your fingernails. Neosporin can cause allergic reactions. You may be allergic to GEL Nails? • Love this idea ... you have inspired me to haul out my rings. I deal with complex anxiety. And the whole adult fidget spinner is absolutely perfect. Hats off to you my dear, and Nessie. ❤

  • I love love love this video! Thank you for sharing! It is so inspiring. And i love the term "adult fidget spinner". I think my love for stickers and the peace they bring me is connected to my childhood Color Forms.❤❤😊 Thanks for always being honest and open. It is so appreciated as we are all in the same boat at some point. Please keep sharing the flip throughs.

  • I would photograph that message from your daughter ❤. I do not know Nessie, but I adore her and her channel, and would like to think that we would be friends in real life. Same with you Robin. I think it would be so much fun to meet you, Nessie, Heather from Planner Mumsy and Noelia from My Moxie Dreams…not in a creepy stalker way 😂, I just feel like I relate to all of you. I love your setup ❤. I too have zero need for rings, but I created a similar setup but with discs instead of rings. The deco I added makes me happy.

  • I love this discussion. I’m a brown, 46 year old woman that is one of the first in my family to seek mental health help for what was formally diagnosed as CPTSD. The things my family has “normalized” in terms of symptoms is all too real in many Latin homes, yet many struggle without considering that it’s more because of stigma . I love seeing this kind of open discussion about mental health because I’m positive most people struggle with some form of it at some point. The more we know what the symptoms look like, the more likely people will get much needed help for proper management.

  • OMG I pretty much did the same thing! I am using Hobonichi weeks and Sterling Ink B6 for 2024, and I terribly missed my rings. I retired last year, so I didn’t see the point of using my rings. But I put a personal rings together anyway (with what I already have). It makes me so happy even though it doesn’t have a purpose. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who does this. BTW, love your videos!
