This wedding blended two very different cultures beautifully. Meghan's simplicity and sense of calm was breathtaking and Harry's controlled nervousness was so charming. They seem to really love each other and have a deep chemistry. So beautiful! I hope they're blessed with many children. :-)

Nothing about Meghan is simplicity or calm! The staff all said it was extremely stressful and Meghan made them all cry and bullied people until Catherine told her she couldn't bully the staff. Even Meghan's pure silk dress didn't fit properly because she was so fussy and also it was to hide Meghan's boxy, twig like body.

Dover McManus Bless your heart, you thought I was blaming the Queen. Don’t take everything quite so literally, Cupcake. Read between the lines. The Queen May be old but she is not stupid. You give Meghan too much credit. Do you think that Meghan gets what she wants? I’m quite certain Her Majesty knows all that is going on. And the details of the wedding required her authorisation. It sounds like an insult to the Queen to call what she authorised, vulgar. She deserves more credit than that. Perhaps she chose to indulge only slightly. We all know how Grandmother loves Harry. I do, however, disagree that it was as excessive as you indicate in your last comment. I personally thought it was rather lacking in some areas. That... dress,....for example. Modest? Or dull? At least the after the wedding dress was more....fetching? But enlighten me. Tell me which aspects you found to be excessive and which, if any, you found appropriate. And did you not find any of it to be dull, boring even? As to your latest comment regarding the Queen having to nix quite a lot because Meghan wanted “a lot lot more”, I have yet to see any real evidence or reliable reports to support that story. Doria was so full of emotion. She's beautiful. So typical of a loving mother, the emotions were written all over her face. Joy, pride, adoration....and clearly, overwhelmed at times by the enormity of the occasion. And she looked so lovely! Very appropriately dressed...considering that being American, she's probably not accustomed to wearing satellite dish hats on her forehead, or peacock feathers springing out of her hair). She looks like she would be a very warm and genuine woman. Bless her! (She actually 'made' the wedding for me! It was a joy to get glimpses of her. Raw emotion...whatya see is whatya get!)

The Duchess of Sussex is American. I did not find her to be schmaltzy, nor that she speaks grand words wrapped in platitudinous rhetoric. Nor did I find her wedding to be overdone. She is not loud or excessively emotive. Her sense of decorum, thus far, is impeccable. One must be careful with generalizations all the while projecting your way of being onto an entire population of 325.7 million people.

colette s Sadly the gown of MM did not fit well it really did need a few more adjustments. The bodice fit poorly and it draped her torso badly, it did not flow well, and yet we've seen this same design silouette many times done beautifully, coincidentally in a previous royal wedding and also a woman of color - Angela of Liechtenstein. Her gown was elegant and fit well and the tiara and veil were also quite similar but not too long to be vulgar, just elegant. But Angela was a student of design so she knew more about how different fabrics worked.

I just had a chance to watch Harry and Megan’s wedding, and I found myself crying several times as I saw Harry battling to quiet his emotions. For some reason, I’ve always felt so very sorry for both of these boys, whose lives were upended when they lost their ‘mummy,’ when they lost the woman who never failed to show them how much she adored them and how proud she was of them. The woman who insisted they be exposed to the REAL world and the struggles real people experience. The woman who was determined to leave them a legacy to respect and carry forward. Although both boys were devastated by her death, I always felt Harry struggled the most. Although it is obvious both boys have embraced their mother’s spirit, Harry seems to a bit more like his mother than William, and maybe that is why he has always seemed so vulnerable to me. So I cried as I watched him and could see that he really loved this woman and that marrying her made him incredibly happy. Like William, he married for love and I hope and pray they and their wives find the true happiness that alluded their mother. They deserve to that joy in their lives!

i know. im very happy for them and hope everything works out for the best. the expression on dorias face when meghan was walking down the aisle was priceless. its like she felt like she was in a dream and at any moment she would wake up but realized it was REALITY and couldnt believe her eyes lol it was really awesome to see. meghans life has literally been turned upside down(in a good way) and will only continue to get better at this rate :)

Unconditional Love is what will make America Great Again and only Love. If only Princess Diana was alive. Harry is truly an amazing human being and Prince charming. He was engaged and Megan was beautiful. This wedding revived my broken spirit. The word of God was powerful and the diversity of it all was uplifting. Nothing about Meghan is simplicity or calm! The staff all said it was extremely stressful and Meghan made them all cry and bullied people until Catherine told her she couldn't bully the staff. The bodice fit poorly and it draped her torso badly, it did not flow well, and yet we've seen this same design silouette many times done beautifully, coincidentally in a previous royal wedding and also a woman of color - Angela of Liechtenstein. Her gown was elegant and fit well and the tiara and veil were also quite similar but not too long to be vulgar, just elegant. But Angela was a student of design so she knew more about how different fabrics worked.

I just had a chance to watch Harry and Megan’s wedding, and I found myself crying several times as I saw Harry battling to quiet his emotions. For some reason, I’ve always felt so very sorry for both of these boys, whose lives were upended when they lost their ‘mummy,’ when they lost the woman who never failed to show them how much she adored them and how proud she was of them. The woman who insisted they be exposed to the REAL world and the struggles real people experience. The woman who was determined to leave them a legacy to respect and carry forward. Although both boys were devastated by her death, I always felt Harry struggled the most. Although it is obvious both boys have embraced their mother’s spirit, Harry seems to a bit more like his mother than William, and maybe that is why he has always seemed so vulnerable to me. So I cried as I watched him and could see that he really loved this woman and that marrying her made him incredibly happy. Like William, he married for love and I hope and pray they and their wives find the true happiness that alluded their mother. They deserve to that joy in their lives!
