Admittedly, some have said all along she should just skip college (silly), but the KZhead haters have said once she faced a good team like SC, she’d be “exposed” as a slow, non-athletic player. She is a one-person team. 31 points last night. UConn’s next highest scorer had 8. Btw she missed a half dozen shots she makes 90% of the time, too. We are in for a show.

    • Lets count the possible end of year hardware for Paige. Barring the unforeseen she has the Big East freshman and POY locked up. She will probably be 1st team AA, if she is not that would make the AA list a laughingstock. Certainly national Freshman of the year. I cant imagine that there is an upperclassman having a better year than Paige. Freshman usually take a backseat in National POY to a special upperclassmen but I just don't see it.

Don't b too quick to judge her only on her jump shooting...which even she would admit has gone missing lately. Good news is she wins games for the Huskies by doing other things. And believe me....if she hits the game winner in the Final Four NOBODY is gonna care about her shooting percentage from the floor.

If Christyn doesn't get her act together she will be awarded the Molly Bent chair at the far end of the bench. To many players now and in the near future to put up with this. Think Azzi, Saylor, Amari, Caroline. Too many capable guards to be waiting for someone to figure it out.

Paige is amazing best freshman I have seen in a long time. But sorry she will never outsell Lebron that's ludicrous to think.Fan base is just not there for the woman's game. Get them this year everybody because when Izzi gets there next year they will be absolutely stacked. This year although I am big fan of UCONN I can see 8-10 teams that can take the title. Makes for a very competitive march tournament . But GO UCONN!!!!!

    • This is an update to my post made 3 months ago. I have it from a very reliable source, that if UConn wins the Division I, NCAA title while Paige is on the UConn roster, an autographed pair of the Buecker NIKES will sell for $325. This will be a limited edition of only 10,000 pairs. ALL proceeds will help fund the charity of Paige's choice (and, BTW, unlike Mr. James, Paige does not require a tutor to help her read any of the Dr. Seuss books).

  • She makes the game look easy in many respects, and this is why people continue to underestimate her ability. I'm going to point out that she has a True Shooting % of 67.3 as a Guard with the highest usage on her team. That's absolutely phenomenal and it tells you why Geno keeps saying she needs to shoot more. Steph Curry has the best Career TS% of any active NBA guard at 62.4 -- just to put that 67 in perspective. That 67 is the very definition of "MONEY." 😁

And it doesn't seem to matter if it is Geno or the players who are being questioned--so many of the questions are just garbage. It's like the reporters want to show that they are really perceptive or something, IDK. To be sure they have jobs to do so they are trying to get usable quotes out of their interviewee but too often I do find myself cringing, as have others judging by the comments here.
