Where did you get the red tip for the Caulkin gun.
Hi! They’re called caulk caps and here’s a quick link on where I got them 👍🏽😊: amzn.to/3l7jczn
Thank you ever so much! We really need to learn how to do this. And squeezing the tube was not something we liked. So now I know to get a dripless gun.
Look for them at the birth control section of any store.😅
Very helpful and timely! Thank you for doing actual demonstrations of your tips.
Thank you for being so detailed and kind in the giving of your expertise.
I am so glad I watched your video this morning, for years as a do it yourselfer I have struggled with using the old type caulk guns and spending a lot of time going back over the caulking smoothing it out and wiping countless times so it would look good wasting a lot of caulk and having a very messy situation, your caulking tips are very valuable to me and I greatly appreciate your videos to help make projects easier, Thank you!
Excellent tips I never would’ve stumbled upon by myself- ever. Including learning about the 2 types of caulking applicator gun. This presentation has been very helpful for my burgeoning home improvement skills going forward. Thank you! 🙏 🖼️ 🖌️
These are very helpful tips to help people like myself that are new at this. I honestly would have never thought of any of these great ideas. I very much appreciate it! This is one of the best videos I have watched for helpful tips for diy projects. Thank you very much ..stay blessed
Very nice caulking tips. But most importantly they all are very helpful to everyone who is a beginner or a professional. Just want to add that you're very helpful and easy to fallow and understand your advice on how to do any home repairs or improvement around the house. Thanks so so much. Please keep them coming. Thank you for all the wonderful tips!
Great tips for a DIYer 👍 thank you!
Marking the top and sanding block so the tube won’t rock….genius! Also, Love the soap n water to spray the caulk AND your finger before smoothing! What a difference. Thanks for making the video. So helpful!
Excellent! Thanks for the great tips and how to’s

Great tips as always man! 👍
Great detail on your videos. Nice tips. Learn something each time
Love the caulk savers
Great tips and well explained!
Love all of your tips...I'm always wasting caulk running my finger over it to smooth it out. The caulk caps are a great tip, and I will be buying some. I always stick a nailor screwin the tip which is never air tight and allows the caulk around the edges to harden in turn making a terrible line coming out hence having to finger smooth and wasting caulk. Great tips thank you!
I enjoyed the video and the tips presented were very helpful especially the one that was utilized to preserve the remaining material.
Fantastic guide thank you!
Great tips. I wish I had seen this before I started. However, there is more to do. The tips will make it easier, faster, and look more professional. This is my first attempt at this! Thank you!
I'm new at this, the sanding, or the tape. Will definitely help me with remodeling. I am doing myself, Thank-you
Thanks. I will be doing lots of caulking this summer.

This is one of the areas that I suck at - my caulking looks terrible. Thanks for the advice/ideas. Will try this out on my kitchen.
Very useful tips sir just reminded me of a project i havent completely finished
Very helpful!
Great info! Also have used a baby wipe to wipe my finger on while caulking. Lubes your finger nicely to get the job done!
I need to get some of those caps. I normally waste at least 1/2 a tube when I use caulk due to it drying up. Thanks for the tips👍
Good tips. I can’t wait to try them all

Great tips! Have you tried a Damp Sponge to smooth out the lines? Works great on any surface.
Love the sanding tip!!! And the capping rings! Rubbing Alcohol gives you a nice clean up too-haven’t tried the soap/water…???
Thank you for the tips on caulking. I don't exactly know how many times I have had to recaulk in the bathroom. Trust me when I say a lot! I especially like the marking arrow. I think I can do this with more skill than luck this time.
Good video, will be buying those caulk rubbers.
Thank you! Those rubbers are awesome! 😎👍🏽
good info. Thanks
Thank you 🙏🏽
Hahahaha, a tiny red rubber. Didn't think it was wise to reuse those things! Lol
Excellent video
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽😊
Thank you made my job much easier great tips Viewers!!!!
I’m glad I could be of help! 🙏🏽😊
Thanks body you are amazing
Great caulking suggestions! Marking the top of the tube will solve an ongoing problem of mine, can’t believe I never thought of it! To seal an open tube, I use fingers cut from old latex gloves secured with a rubber band which work well and are also reusable, but I may try the tube caps. I’ve never been a fan of painter’s tape-no matter how careful I am when I remove the tape, the edges of the caulk lift up and create a step, and with some practice I don’t think it’s necessary for good results. Many thanks for your helpful vids!
Thank you for the meaningful comment and for sharing your experience! 👍🏽🙏🏽😊
Hope next time you will cover any tips on hpw to create nice corners when joining the calk on two sides of something. Thanks!
Good one! Painters tape + soapy water trick, that's the ticket! And keep a damp rag nearby to remove the excess that can build up on your finger tips on long runs. I like the mini rubber caps, but first i stick a screw in it; helps clean out the dried gunk when you go back a few weeks later
Soapy water is absolutely wrong. It WILL cause the sealant to fail prematurely. It is common sense and NO professional caulker does this
Yikes!!! Guilty of a few bad habits - thanks for the video, this will def help in the future!!!
I want to multi-Like your vids. Great tips! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the love and support! 😊👍🏽🙏🏽
Super handy and perfect timing. Currently sealing up a detached garage and am dreading having to break out the caulking gun, one of my least favorite jobs to do. One other tip I was shown in the past is to use an ice cube to wipe the excess. It will naturally mold itself to the angle and is always wet so it's easy to wipe off, then just get another once it melts.
Wow I never knew that! Thank you for sharing the 🧊 trick! Best of luck on your Garage my friend! 👍🏽🙏🏽😊
That rubber for the white stuff tho. 😅😅 Great tips. 👍
#5 is genius! And now I have a bunch of caulk condoms on order too 😀
Great video and tips. Appreciate your videos cause they have helped me DIY almost everything since I bought my house in 2021. They have even saved me from picking some shady contractors for the tougher job. Now that $50 would really come in handy to get me a new caulking gun and caps... catch my drift... wink wink..
Great idea to have arrow at top
Thank you! 🙏🏽😊
Cool
nice video
Thank you so much!
Used the painter's tape as you suggested and got the beautiful straight line. However, when I pulled the tape off, it pulled out some of the caulking. I let it dry overnight and that was the result.
I have watched videos from other KZheadrs. Your videos are the ones that tell me. "You can do it!!!" After watching your videos, I am ready to work on baseboards. I have already subscribed to your channel from another account because I use the account to watch videos. I am using this account to order a few materials on the links. You have done such a great job with videos. It is fair that I give you the commission. I am ordering materials now. Note: I also watched "The Baseboard Caulking Secret Tips and Tricks..."
Funny, I just caulked near my outside door. Any tips on how to prevent spiders from entering via weather stripping? Had a huge one force itself inside.
Nice😂❤
Thanks 🙏🏽
I was wondering how you clean up caulk that has been smeared out too far (as in 10:00 - 10:15). None of the videos seem to cover this.
Great tips for a Novice like me❤
Finish Line Caulk Pre Filled Precision Applicators are the easiest way to caulk fine lines, small gaps, cracks and hard to reach places. Less waste and less mess. When quality and details matter. Finish the job with Finish Line Caulk.
Should have watched this sooner!
Does this work for 100% silicon?
Yea it does! 👍🏽😊
Practice practice practice
Tip #1 should be use the right caulk for the job.
Yes I agree! Silicone on bathroom and kitchen or wet areas only 👍🏽😊
I installed windows for years the most important tip I have is push the caulk not pull it
I am a professional caulker of over 45 years and this is plain stupid. No professional does this and there is a reason. Here is a simple fact 90% of window installers know nothing about caulking. In fact most are hacks. There are some glaziers ( not window installers) gagged are good at caulking.
