  • in the USA yodeling was considered quite the art. very few do so now. i have not heard any so good since the 50s. thank you for bringing the art back.

    • It stopped when they took "western" out of "country and western" music. This is a classic song born out of the Old American West with its yodeling beginnings coming from European immigrants.

  • Growing up on a cattle ranch I'm pretty sure I never heard anybody yodel at our cattle.😎 However I used to play "I want a be a cowboys sweetheart " many times on the country stations I worked at. The true country and Western music many times had yodeling in it. You are very talented and have a great stage presence I see a great future for you.!!

  • Hi Sofia. What a beautiful young lady you are. You have an immense raw talent that is very, very rare these days. People don't realise how hard it is to yodel like you do. To me though, it's going to be a real shame that one day you're going to grow up and lose your innocence and become a young woman. People take very quickly to very talented young girls/boys but they grow up to quickly. Make the most of your youth and enjoy it with your fans. i'm sure you have many, many fans by now and this fanbase will continue to grow and grow.   • I do not understand how yodeling can lift the heart but it does. Watching Sofia's performances is like the man says in the video, "as good as happy medicine". Sing Sophia, sing for the world until all can smile for a moment anyway as they hear your wonderful yodeling.

I've watched this, and a few other of her audio - visuals for over 2 years. She is UPLIFTING in the nicest way.

  • It looked like everyone had fun with this. Sofia was an amazingly good teacher too. Every time I hear her sing " I wanna be a cowboy's sweetheart" her English and delivery is better. We are watching a young star grow right before our eyes. Great job, Sofia.

    • I appreciate the heart from Sofia. I'm sure someone else is posting the hearts for her because a 12-year-old girl should be busy with her school work and shouldn't be reading peoples comments. I hope her mom and those around her will continue to monitor and guide her on a path to success while letting her be a normal kid who enjoys a balanced life. No one loves her more than her mom and she will always be her best friend.
