LPShakur 2 months later I didn’t realize I’d be a walking example of my own words. Landed a sketchy spine transfer at my local DIY, decided I wanted to film it. My back truck locked up on the top of the spine as I was going down the other side and I fell a good 3ft straight to concrete.

2:07 OUCH!!! You are SO lucky Leticia! That’s what happened to me, foot slipped off the board. Broke my leg in 4 places, Tibia & Fibula through the flesh sticking out, ankle broken inside the joint and heel broken. Blood everywhere and next level pain that’s indescribable. Took the paramedics 7 small bottles of Morphine just to move me after which I went into paraphyletic shock. Got rushed to hospital with a 4 hour long emergency operation that followed the Sunday morning. Took 3 months lying on my back, 8 months on crutches and 3 years no sports to heal up. Like I said, thank your lucky stars your leg didn’t break! That was close!!! 🙏🤙

That’s pretty much the nature of skateboarding. Even when you reach the level of pro, you’re still gonna slam at one point or another, especially if you’re attempting to do a really technical trick. When I started skateboarding, the one advice I got from other skaters, & perhaps the best advice I’ll ever get, is to get use to wiping out. Yeah, I got use to it fairly quickly lol

It's just the concept. I started skating when I was 7 and I could do handrails and stuff in my teens. I never wore a helmet. I'm not saying that to be cool, but none of my friends did. It's just not something done in park or street skating. Now of course it's a good idea and if my future kid wants to skate I would like if they wore one
