I fell in love with the jzx chassis back in high school, when no one else knew what it was and mistaken it for a bimmer 😭. Goddamn I love this car.
Parts I already have for this: non-vvti 2J NA-T, R154, OS Giken twin disc, 18" MB Battles (want Work CR Kai's eventually), Brembo 17zs for the front, TOM'S steering wheel, hand ebrake + console, Tourer carbon fiber trim, manual pedals, etc etc. Original pearl white paint will be restored. Will also get an 8" IS300 diff/axles for it soon (same as Tourer S/V and JZX101).
that thing is gonna slap
Hey i just got a gx100 too so does the is300 axles and diff would bolt up to it?
In Tanzania they are everywhere and people thinks are outdated. They are more focused on crown athletes
I had tge Chaser in 1990 when I lived in Yokosuka,Japan for 4 years. Great car.
Still amazes me everytime seeing a mid '90s cars back wheel arches not rotted through. BTW, think the threads on top of the seats might have come from those awesome granny quilt covers they sometimes have, If so, shame someone removed them :P
Good chaser, but simple. No jz, no smoke )))
“Weird to see such a modern car with a distributor” Derek has not exported a 5th gen Prelude confirmed.
At under $2000, this was a great buy to use for a build!
Hey, didn't you buy a Toyota Crown from PCA recently? How's it been going for you? I love to hear updates on what happens to these cars after the videos
Under $2000?, or $20,000?
@@efiniGTX for a 1G auto Chaser in this condition? I mean if YOU think it's worth 20K, go ahead! This one sold for just under $2000 at auction.
@@televisionandcheese I love it! It needed some work after it landed. I've put about 10K km on it in just over a year. Here is what I've done to the car so far: *Changed all capacitors in the ECU (fixed the ABS warning) *Replaced the shocks *Timing belt and water pump service (was still on the original belt!) *Replaced the vehicle speed sensor (it failed about a month after it landed) *Paint correction
Looks like that thing sat for a looooooong time for sure
Kinda sad how i will never be able to afford one of these, the prices are insane
It's true for the TourerV. The prices in Japan are over $25k for a drift spec. If it has a body kit and aftermarket wheels thr price goes even higher.
The one in the video sold for 201k yen, it's not insane unless you don't want the equivalent of a 520i.
@@Stormb1azer The price may look affordable but you have to consider broker fees, US customs tax, shipping, etc. By the end, this car ends up costing triple that amount before having to deal the state DMV. Then have the budget to modify it to the TourerV level. Granted it will cost a lot less by doing what the owner has planned for this Avante trim.
@@LusoiHardware literally looking at one rn for 8k & it’s already in the us
@@GerbsInDaBuilding let me guess, FB marketplace? That's where I saw one.
where's is engine light relay found on chaser
How much did your customer get it from the auction hall lol 50k jpy?
👍
Also note that 993 in the background 👀
What’s your website?
welp....there goes the prices of the non turbo JZX100's was hoping these models would have flown under radar a bit longer..
It's funny to think that we have any power to move the market. We are just a little KZhead channel that gets 2000 views per video.
The gauge cluster on these is identical to the 1st gen Aristo.
not quite, just pretty similar
@@MultiColiflower yeah, not quite identical but close. Going off memory a bit since I haven’t driven my Aristo in months
Hi I saw one of these online. Someone is importing it and wants to sell it. How do I make sure this is legit and not a scam? Don't want to buy a car I that I may end up having to get crushed
Have someone do it for you if you are that concerned. Make sure they have all the import paperwork you need(research that) or even better have them title it where you live first, that may cost more but it guarantees you are good if you don't want to do any work.
Apparently the buyer didn't want the car anymore after the video, it's still for sale 😂😂
So it's a "F" for this car. Some asshole will just tear it apart in a drift...
its an 1g avante literally who cares
@@MultiColiflower, it survived 25 years and now it'll be murdered in a drift shit. Anyone who likes cars do care.
cry
@@thesis4349 More like it limped along for 25 slow years and now it gets a chance to scream. If you are the grandma that sold this that's fine but don't hate on others having fun too.
@@xex2kok, yeah, screaming for help...
Americans always buy the Cheapest they can find ?
No, but the Russians bought up most of the turbo ones of these 20 years ago so between that and the skyrocketing prices of anything JDM the past two years you’re paying new car prices for one. Plus it’s fun to buy a base model and swap faster parts into it, because then you get more mechanically involved with the car.
@@interstate366, "more mechanically involved" 'til you killed it in a drift competition, and then discard it...
@@thesis4349 well, at least then you ruined a $2000 car instead of a $30000 car
@@interstate366 Hilarious that you think this actually costs only 2k to get imported. Even if you bought it at auction for $2,000 USD you are still looking at nearly 5k to the port then more to your home.
@@xex2kok I own an imported Aristo so I know the costs, but carry on. Also I never said it was $2k landed. Don’t put words in my mouth.
