Similar to the grey-shanked douc, it has a golden face, white chin and dark grey to black hands and feet. Due to hunting, disease, habitat loss, and unregulated mass tourism, the red-shanked douc could face extinction in the near future. Watch the colorful primate in its natural habitat in this film by Ryan Deboodt (www.ryandeboodt.com/)

    • Nothing deserves anything. We simply have evolved to quickly addapt to our enviorment and with our intelligence took over most land on earth.

    • @@philderkomischetyp4481 what next? It was good that we evolved so fast. But if we continue down this path, we'll be stuck in a macbine world with nothing pretty to look at.

    • I hope you stop supporting zoos. Zoos = prison. This wild animal deserves to be running wild and free in the wild. Sanctuary is better than zoo who trains & takes care of wild animals and release it back to the wild.
