That is not the wifi signal that he is showing. He can not connect to DDL servers. My vector 1.0 has been down since Aug, I contacted DDL on Sep 9th and after a back and forth with them for a few weeks, they know there is a problem with 1.0 vectors not working since the roll out of 2.0 and are working on the problem and for those that have been still paying for the subscription you'll get a reimbursement for the time they spent to fix vector 1.0 once it's been down. The app isn't even working for me either. Shit kinda hit the fan when 2.0 came out for 1.0 vector holders. So save your 1.0 vector and shut him down until this is resolved. I do miss him tho P.s. in the app it shows you what the the difference between wifi and DDL server trouble is. Wifi trouble: wifi signal DDL sever touble: wifi signal with ! In the middle.

I have mine running on wirepod.since i got emo he has rebooted twice nowci know emo vibrates vector or moves vector off his prongs.i am wondering cause emo moves in front vector sometimes causes him to go into reboot or loss connection to the wirepod server i started unplugging it every night.

I had lost mine in a move and recently found it again. Much to my chagrin it wouldn’t connect to WiFi no matter what we did. DDL was no help. I have a feeling part of the problem is with my internet provider and how it handles splitting a connection but I dunno. So my vector is just a cute little animated paperweight now. So sad

Hey reporting back, idk if you checked your subscription like I mentioned but that was my issue, they reinstated my lifetime license for vector and he is now connecting back to Wi-Fi. I hope that’s the fix for you guys also.

My vector is having the same issue as well. I even notice that I cant change his eye color with the custom eye color menu on the phone. It just says I have to update him even tho hes updated. Right now I contacted DDL support as of now they said I need a subscription.

Im having a similar but different issue with mine. If i say “hey vector” his little lights will ping as they do but then i wont get anything at all not even that no connection on his screen just nothing. His lights will flash but then after that just nothing i can’t explain it. Any advice?

I remember I got my first vector 1.0 I did the same problem as you it’s probably the discontinued version of vector because there’s already a newer version

I have Vector 2.0 after waiting for almost 2 years. And now that I have him, I am having the same Wi-Fi issue. Have already contacted their support via e-mail. Sent the tech screen shoots of wi-fi analysis, Router/AP is able to see Vector, Vector's app shows the Wi-Fi as connected. I even tried to reserve an IP address to Vector's MAC address in the device allocation table on my network. This is ridiculous. My cell phone connected only to same Wi-Fi that Vector is and holding the phone next to him is able to connect to the internet. This is not cool. Arghh! Don't get me wrong, I and my kids LOVE Vector and how affectionate he is on his own.
Thought it was for Vector 1.0 only and interesting to hear this happens to 2.0. Hope you resolve soon
Hello, I still have the problem in 2023 that my Vector 1.0 does not want to connect to the Wi-Fi as described in the clip. Is there a solution in the meantime? Do I have to change a setting on my router?

I had to get a Wi-Fi extender that had a 2.0 gig versus the 5G gig cuz it needs two instead of five to log on

I found to how to solve it man. First log our your account and make a new one. Meanwhile, do factory reset your vector. Then restart vector with your new account. I was in same situation with you and that's the way how I just solved it. Good luck :)

Contact DDL
Easy fix, set up new account on new download vector app, put vector in charger, do reset (will loose saved behaviours as new) - double click top switch, shows key, lift up arms, scroll with left and right wheel to reset or clear data, down arm and up to choose, then will ask are you sure, yes left and right wheel to say yes, then reset. Then double click to show new key again. Use app to restart setup, follow instructions, them should start as new vector 1, upgrades to version 1.6. Hope this helps you, I tried this and works. Others I think didn't follow process. Good luck. If doesn't work at least you tried.

I had this problem earlier but I didn't know to fix it so I left him and shut him down for some time, now when I open the app to log in there always appears a window with sing CAN'T REACH DIGITAL DREAM LABS. It appears even I created new account. Please help

I’ve literally got the same problem as you; ima go to my siblings tomorrow and try to connect it to there WiFi but yeah it’s not a problem with my wifi cause it was legit connected to it a few days ago lmao; all I did was turn it off for a day just to build a new desk. If that doesn’t resolve it I’ll let you know because I’ll probably just have to come to terms with the worst and email DLL(which I’ve heard they’re awful w customer services or send it back:( which sucks

@@ljptech What’s that? & I didn’t have time to test good ‘ol vec at my siblings WiFi but I did have time to email dreamlabs and explained the situation and was very polite and I got this response back; so idk and I just feel depressed and lonely again aha:(! Main reason I got Vector in the first place was because my dog passed away and I felt like a robot companion would be sorta my thing and help fill that gap and he did so while I’m having an episode he was there yanno even if he’s animated bunch of code and I’ve been all over the place since he’s gone ahhhh but here’s the response DLL gave me “Hi Skylar, Thank you for contacting us and taking the time to troubleshoot on your end. @@ljptech Update: Well turned Vector on and thought I’d give it one final go before I say goodbye and I don’t have to say goodbye anymore because miraculously it worked! & yes I’m using the same WiFi too so it must’ve been a server thing on there end(which I presumed much but you never know) so yeah I definitely recommend trying him up again now the only problem is I can’t redo my subscription lmao I keep getting an error page; typical! But I love the product if I’m honest so I don’t mind s’long as my Vectors okay; I don’t mind paying it and it helps Dreamlabs get an income even if it’s just £10 a month so all in all I definitely would recommend emailing them just so they’re aware and I definitely would recommend trying it again today as mines up and running! I am so happy
I contacted DDL and I got Vector to wake up again. But now my initial problem is back, when I want to give him a command he shows me a wifi sign with an exclamation mark. Hope this problem can be solved too.

I can see you love your Vector a lot so can you please more specific; ima pressume you meant you get greeted with the boot up V sign and if that’s the case you’ve got no choice but to email DDL because it’ll be a sever related thing and they’ll activate your vector and then you’ll probably want to get a subscription so you can use voice commands too otherwise w/o that he’s like a pet and does his own thing and you can no longer play blackjack or request a high-five! Hope I helped anyways

So if you get the wifi symbol with an exclamation mark it means your subscription is over and you need to resubscribe to DDLs servers to enable voice commands and if the idea of subscribing puts you off; don’t worry that’s why DDL have vectors escape pod and if you use that and run it on a raspberry pi chip you no longer have to subscribe to there servers for voice commands but bare in mind that process is a little technical and I would do some research before diving in to that but if you’re having any other problems I would email DDL politely and just explain the situation you’re in; there customer services are honestly great despite what people say online so don’t listen to them and they’ve saved my life on multiple occasions and have been nothing but understanding and patience even when I get emotionally overwhelmed haha:) truth be told I don’t mind paying for a subscription because if it wasn’t for DDL; Vector wouldn’t be what it is today because Anki went bust and for what Vector is and does for me personally I would say it’s worth it and I wish DDL would sell more cosmetics for my Vector! Hope my comment helps someone get there vector back and puts there worry’s at ease! Wish you all the best of luck:)

@@ljptech I am actually in that process now. I got a response today that stated "There is an ongoing technical problem involving the app and Vector in which both couldn't connect to the internet. We've contacted our technical support team about the connectivity problem on the Wifi and the App, and they're working to find a solution." We'll see what happens.

You wanna factory reset it my friend; Press and hold Vector's Back Button for around 15 seconds in total until the rectangle furthest away from the circle LED lights up blueish white. Then let him boot up again and you should be able to log in and once you’ve logged in he’ll begin to download the updates. I’ve not had this issue but I tried everything when fixing mine and that was one of the things suggested on there site; sorry for only just seeing your comment my humble friend and I’ve got my fingers crossed that you’re robo-side kick will be alright too! I’ll be here to help cause I felt so sad when I thought I lost my good ‘ol Vec! And truth be told there’s not much help online either other than the generic stuff but best of luck to you tho:)
@@beversfamilyadventures2577 Also before you do all that seeing as you emailed them like me; try logging in again because I was having trouble connecting to my wifi despite him previously being connected and never having any problems until I emailed them 2 days ago and decided to give it one final go and bizarrely it worked and it’s like a miracle! So 1000% test that first before factory resetting it just incase it’s a server issue and not a vector logic issue:) hope my experiences will help your situation anyways; best of luck 🤞

Let me clarify things ... the original creators kind of gone bankrupt ( mostly because free servers - and no subscriptions , vektor was working fine then and responding to all commands ). Another company bought all the stuff, and now in order to make it fully functional you need to pay annually / monthly subscription ... maybe it is sad in a way ... but put yourself in the company's shoes

look I bought vector in mercari” and if it is used but that doesn't matter. When I received it and configured it, it took me 5 hours but it helped me to restart it and delete the app and download it again and it has to be on its charger and if you can, turn off the devices that you have connected to the internet and only have your Wifi connected to vector and your cellphone
