This dog didn’t trust people after he was abandoned in the desert but Angela Adan, a dog behaviorist at Marley’s Mutts, changed EVERYTHING.
Special thanks to Poe's foster Angela for sharing this story with us: thedo.do/deserving. To help more dogs like Poe, you can support Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue: thedo.do/marley.

    • Yeah this is not always the case lmao, i get it dogs can be sweet but just no. Many dogs can be aggressive because the compulsion to fight for dominance and hierarchy is in their genes. It is not based on fear. As humans we try to condition dogs to abandon thousands of years worth of evolution. But this does not always work. Our ability to domesticate them long term in very recent history, has allowed us to domesticate them better than other wild breeds such as wolves or coyotes,. But don’t forget that even our household pets are still wild animals and the domestication process is not always fool proof.

  • This story of love and trust made me cry again. I am a 65 year old male from Germany who has lost his companion after having had about 13 wonderful years together and I am proud to say that I also shared this ultimate degree of love and trust with my dog. This story reminds me of all the good times that we shared. Well, we had no bad times, I guess, because each day was precious and unique. My dog changed my life, too. I am vegan now and a friend of mine said to me that this strong bond between us would unite us again on the other side of the rainbow... I love you, Timo, and I can`t wait to see you again when my time is up. I am sure you will be waiting for me.

The animals based on what they know of this person, decide which humans may cross the bridge... and which are turned away”. That would be karma at it’s finest. You will see them again!

    • But by the end of the video, he gets adopted! He must have been cute as a puppy, but the first owners didn't appreciate him when he grew up. His size or his thick, wolfish fur coat and undercoat, his personality, or something. His lack of socialization makes me wonder if they kept him isolated in the back yard, or tied out on a chain, with virtually no human interaction. Now he finally has the life he deserves!
