You're probably one of the few tech reviewer that has authority over something like this. From the gameplay it's clear you're an FPS veteran. Good shit.
Those wingman flicks give him all the authority
@@tamaantar very true
couldn't have said it better myself
Right? I appreciate the work some other reviewers do (Not gonna say names) but it's hard to take some very seriously because it's clear that they are pretty casual... And nothing wrong with that, but, I definitely appreciate the input from someone that can actually kick ass like this.
So true, someone actually good at games on an above average level talking about this tech is so good. Usually getting gaming info from non actual gamers is so boring and pointless.
i was literally just googling a review of this awhile ago. Hopefully, we can see a 1-month review of this. I know you've used it for 1 week heavily but would still love to hear again about it after a month.
doubt he's gonna make an update on mouse feet. "oh man, it feels more broken in. so that's the end of the video"
@@beariyy3872 yeah. i doubt it too. he's a busy man. He probably has more amazing videos to make. Hopefully, someone else would provide feedback/review here in the future. :D
It’s glass. It’s not wearing down
THEY ARE VERY GOOD, WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT ?
I've had mine for about a month and a half, and they've held up really well
One of my favorite KZhead accounts. Unique, insightful, fun to watch, professional, and way underrated.
i stopped playing games for a few months and when i came back, felt like i lost all my aim so i thought it was the best time to try and get use to my skypad that i was always so afraid of using, and now i cant go back to a cloth pad, i just feel so much more in control and when i switch back to even my hien mid i feel like i can't move. i'm assuming this is a very similar effect to what you had here, its really hard at first but once you get it you feel so much more control.
7:57 Oof Damn what a shot DUDE, you really are so amazing. Keep up the good work really love your Channel.
I'm a medium control pad user and these feet were way to fast out of the box, the first week I was using them on slower and slower pads and eventually I went all the way down to a worn GSR trying to get any level of control back, but the only thing that changed on cloth control pads was the glide felt slower but the near 0 static friction stayed the same. I ended up switching to hybrid speed pads like the Venus and Hien and had a much better time on those, even if those pads are not my cup of tea normally. After 3 weeks I felt like I was clawing my way back up to where I was on PTFE, a combination of them slowing down and me getting used to them. After replacing them with Corepads my performance was instantly better. My advice if you don't like them after 2 weeks don't waste your time just go back to ptfe, they were worth trying and are super unique feeling, but not for everyone.
Yeah I agree got mine a while back and after they slowed down slightly, they feel amazing disliked them at the start but now they still retain their near 0 static friction but have some feedback while tracking.
it will be heavy. are you no brain man? lollololololol
i swapped from cloth pads to plastic just recently and ive noticed that even when im just holding the mouse, the cursor is shaking sometimes. i cant even imagine how is that to have zero grip to the surface with these glides.
If your pads are to fast, you are to slow.
Once they wear in they're a lot easier to control. I've had mine on for months at this point.
I've been waiting for your review on the glides for a little while and now and I'm so happy you finally got it out. Thanks for the awesome reviews, much appreciate it.
do you wrest your palm on your mousepad (if so: how often?) or do you always have it in the air and slightly wrested on the mouse itself ? asking cuz I recently got an artisan mousepad which has much more texture than my old one and I used to always drag my palm over the mousepad.. which now feels very uncomfortable.
I swapped to these glides and switched to a high control pad (inked gaming) and it's now my favorite set up. Feels amazing. Ty to the reddit mousepad review spreadsheet.
I've been using them for the last couple of months and my experiences are actually 100% represented in this vid. (*i have the Lethal gaming gear mouse skates though*). Very nice Video!👍
honestly ty for that last bit on how it feels on a clean/dirty pad, no one every says that stuff in mouse feet reviews so i end up having to test it my self.
Yessss I commented that you should make a video about these a few weeks back, and here it is! Great hearing your opinion on these….pulsar actually has some new mice coming out that may be worth reviewing as well. Cheers
this channel is proof that good content always succeeds. seems like a few months ago when you were at 100k! love your content, its always refreshing to hear a familiar accent
I own these glass skates for a few months and yeah they do feel much better after a week. They are too fast out of the box but after a week they became slightly slower but they never slow down further (plateaued), they are super consistent and should last longer than PTFE which will slow down more and more over time. The speed after a week makes it usable for CSGO, but out of the box it is too fast.
Thanks for your input. Btw, which mouse do you use?
I like how boardzy described it, they don't slow down, they just have a couple day break in period, then are extremely consistent and, in my opinion, amazing
maybe you just got used to them
Still would not recommend for csgo
They are fine for any game.even CSGO ( just give them a go)...embrace the future. They don't float, you have perfect control. People say fast but maybe their brain is slow...lol
thank you for this ive been really considering these and you helped me decide on em more confidently. Also we need another setup tour B)
Would GPXS Superglide Glass on a Artisan FX Zero Soft mousepad be better than the Corepad Skatez? I mainly play CSGO, and currently have installed the Corepad Skatez on my Logitech G Pro X Superlight. I can feel my Corepad Skatez is starting to wear out a bit.
Great review as always Ali, ive been using them on my viper ultimate on my hien and love them.
I've been using them for months on a gpro superlite, and I absolutely love them. One thing to be aware of is that if your pad has moisture pr dampness, the moisture will slow down the mouse on the pad. Recently, I washed my pad and couldn't wait to get that new feeling again, but it was super sticky because the pad was still holding a bit of moisture. I used a blow dryer to get that last bit out, and it felt perfect again.
Hats off for the creativity in this review!
Master, could u test the difference with this skates and the stock ones? I got a G440 + X superlight yesterday and it FLIES on the mousepad, is it worth upgrading the stock ones into the superglides?
I had huge benefits in cs go from using them. All those little movements you notice with them happen with ptfe skates too, they are just slower and will lightly impact your aim. With the superglides I can notice my little flaws better and correct them. I played faceit from the first hour and I've been performing better than usual from the start.
sir my hands sweat during gaming time, do you think if i use superglide, it can get slow after awhile because the effect of the sweat on mouse pad ? would be appreciated if you help me with your knowledge ❤
@@arminhg2978 Depeneds on the mousepad. The salt from the dried sweat will act like an abrasive and wear the mousepad down faster. Most mousepads behave different when wet. This is not specific to superglides and will happen with all skates. I would recommend a mousepad that dealls well with moisture and a good cleaning routine (wipe with microfiber towel before and after and have a second towel and a disinfectant / detergent to use after a sweaty session) or frequent mousepad switching.
Hair dryer test was genius! Had no clue they'd even move at all from something like that.
are you supposed to put the feet on when the screws show? Or do you put them on with the 1st layer of padding still there
Thanks for such detailed tutorial, it explained everything about glass mouse skates~
This review 100% resonates with my personal experience with the superglides. I personally do not use these feet unless I’m tracking stuff. I would recommend only buying these for a secondary mouse which is only used for aim trainers or really aim heavy games. In any other scenario these feet feel annoying quickly.
I just bought the Pulsar Xlite V2 Wireless and the Superglides. The mouse came a day before the glides and it felt amazing, the glides however, take away any feedback you get from the mouse pad. I was really excited to try them out but since I only play fps games I don't think I am going to keep them on. I have gone down significantly with my DPI and I still notice my aim walking, having to try and compensate with dragging a finger doesn't feel natural. I had thought when I got them that I was going to ceramic coat the glass to prevent micro scratches....that would have made these things impossible to use. Great idea and I love the design they implement into the glass but nobody sees it.
been trying to get some for my g303 shroud ever since I saw boardzy's review. Really enjoy seeing yours as well.
Really nice informative reviews/guides, but I gotta say the part that stands out the most to me is that your gameplay clips are actually good asf. To me that gives the credibility to what someone’s saying about fps game related stuff more than anything
This test with a hairdryer is just insane. Amazing content as usual
I thought it was a a reference to Superdry, a fashion brand.
I enjoy glass feet on slightly heavier mice. Definitely reduces the resistance the extra weight adds.
Im gonna use this for my 903 The stock feet are a bit slow
@DGC Yeah i think these feet would be better for heavy mouse, for light mouse we just need ptfe
i like glass feet cinderella style
Hey optimum and friends, i was thinking to buy a glass skate to pair with logitech g440, do you guys think it matches well? Or should i go for ptfe?
unrelated question, are you using cbr or cqp for recording in obs? cause the apex clips are super nice and clear.
Holy shit the hairdryer test is genius!!
Great content as always! As an older gamer/fps, the trend back in the day was all about having less friction. It was what I was used to and performed best with in my teen years. Those products started to vanish on the market over time for cloth mousepads. I was bewildered by the popularity of the cloth pads and even the "fast" ones felt like I was fighting and struggling against the surface while I was playing. I recently tried out the Skypad Glass and so far I've been fairly pleased with it, it's still not "flying off the desk" friction-less but it's as close as I can get to the "good ol' days". I might have to revisit some surfaces with the Superglides at some point though.
try it with something like a g440 :)
I used an icemat for the last fifteen years. Just got an aqua control 2. It's definitely easier to aim. My accuracy went up from 40 to 50%
Do the skates require a fabric mousepad? I've been using a low-friction metal/coated mousepad for a while, but would love these.
is the feeling with these pads compareable to the feeling you get, when first switching to the SUPERLIGHT from a heavier mize? Everything felt WAY faster and at first, I was overflicking my targets way to much but after a short warmup phase, i got really good with the mize and never want to switch back. I play 95% CS and i would say, I am decently good at it. I am worried tho, that these skates might be to fast paired with the light mize.
this is why you need light mouse, those goes hand in hand with glass pads, much easier to controll. heavy mouse need control pads to make sense.
7:57 Nice shot!!
Call me crazy. But curious how using the glass pad on just the lower portion of the mouse and stock pad on the upper would feel. I feel like that might help with sweeping the mouse but while shooting "clicking" you'll have the added friction from the stock pad. Definitely worth a shot?
hi i want to change my mouse, mousepad and mousefeets what do you recommenf for logitech g pro x superlight when i play like every game. (apex, valo, (fn), cod). i need something that is balanced with everything
I've been waiting for lethal skates glass feet to be in stock. Ordered these superglides before this review finished. I use fairly high sensitivity on my setup tried lowering it but couldn't stand it. This will definitely help with those micro adjustments with my current sensitivity.
I love these pads too. There was definitely a breaking and adjustment period. I also noticed that I don’t get as much mouse fatigue because there is less effort with moving it. I use it with GN mouse mat with the pulsar wireless mouse
Mouse fatigue 😂
@@mathrewnds Aim fatigue is a real thing, especially with heavier mice and low sensitivities.
Great feedback on these glass glides, but the looks hooked me so bad! I want the reds and I'd probably let the mouse rest upsidedown when not using so I can admire it! hahahh 🤘⚡
Your videos are amazing, is there any specific way you clean your mousepads?
yo okay so i love the idea and love to move quick and easy when playing any game, but can anyone let me know just for last thought form anyone should I get this If i play games like valorant and apex. Oh and by the way use a viper ultimate
Hey! I have a superglide superlight and I use a artisan hein. I would have to agree with them being way too fast, I was almost nudged into taking them off after a few hours. However, the micro adjustments that they allow is ridiculously advantageous after break in. I mainly play valorant and I love them, don't give up on them without letting them break in!
Just have to get used to it thats all
this comment gives me hope, just ordered some for my ec2
same! I use spright + hien
This reminds me of the LEXIT ceramic pads I bought some time ago. At the first time the "friction less" experience was too much for me but in a pair of weeks trying to go back was impossible. I haven't hear of these but y would likely try it.
Did you say "a pair of weeks" instead of "Fortnight"?? :)
do razer viper mini has this kind of product? coz mine feels like sticky and i cant aim properly when adjusting on micro movements.
whats the mousepad in the video?
I’ve had these for a couple of weeks now and love them, lowered my dpi and in game sense a little and it’s been a dream to play with. Tracking people in warzone has never felt smoother. Also with the lowered dpi in windows, I’ve felt the mouse is much more usable than at a higher dpi.
What is your mousepad?
@@ravi1916 the pulsar gaming gear para brake xl
I bought these for my logitech g703. I would say its definitely a noticeable change in movement. I will probably take you a week to get used to this and train your wrist be able to stop on shots. I play Valorant and I had to make some adjustments to my Sens for the game. The main thing after "breaking these in" it feels a lot more fluid movement. @$25 its not bad. Unlike Optimum I haven't noticed any difference in glide after the break in. I have had them almost a month and they are amazing and definitely worth the investment if you are gonna play FPS games. also with g703 vs the superlight, the g703 has less skate area than the superlight so the g703 has less contact area to glide on it.
Very concerned as I’m and idiot and ordered them out of excitement from a local Aussie shop and didn’t think to watch reviews I play specifically cs/val and am concerned I have just wasted my money lol
@@avokes6919 same. How did it go? Did they work fine?
@@mystify03 very happy with them, at first they feel very fast but I was still aiming very well in valorant after a few days of heavy use there is a kind of slowing period but once it’s broken in they feel a lot more controllable if that’s something that concerns you
@@avokes6919 Alr. Thanks a lot man. I was just concerned they would be uncontrollable.
@@mystify03 the first day I tuned my sens down a touch and was hitting some nasty shots but after it slowed I felt like trying my normal sens and that’s what I stayed on, it’s just really weird at first how little initial friction there is but that’s my favourite part not so much the quickness
i use SteelSeries QcK Medium Hard mouse pad, would you say those superglides will work on that mousepad ?
hey man great review, would you say mouse weight won’t matter anymore ? I’m assuming since pressure don’t matter. Thanks!
I was scared to try them on gpx so I bought a copy for g703 and tried them on LGG saturn and once they break in they’re surprisingly nice to use even in CS and VAL.
Very concerned as I’m and idiot and ordered them out of excitement from a local Aussie shop and didn’t think to watch reviews I play specifically cs/val and am concerned I have just wasted my money lol
It basically feels like you are holding a bar of soap
@@wanderinglol nah iv used them for over a week now and absolutely love them the low initial friction is really nice for the micro adjustments/ flicks…. Feels super smooth I love them
Had them for 2 weeks now and I agree so much about the horrible desktop usage these pads provide... Also for crosshair placement intensive games it really depends how you grip your mouse and what sensitivity you are playing on, to benefit from these pads. Increasing to 45cm/360 in valorant with superglides on a hien soft helped alot for me for all micromovements (flicks, adjustments, tracking)
i love you for using Xcm/360 instead of meaningless sens/dpi
helps a lot since its always a universal thing @@keppycs
For the super glide, Do you recommend leaving the sensor ring on or off?
What is your opinion on from stock to corepads? Is it faster or slower? Is it easier to control?
Optimum Tech: ‘As you can see my aim is complete garbage here’ Also Optimum Tech: *Shows off aim equal to me on my best of days* Me: 😫
You know how weird it feels when someone complains about them being weaker than bodybuilders at the weakest point. There is literally no reason to compare your measly couple hundred hours in aim training compared to others thousands of hours and if you spent your time enjoying the game instead of grinding your aim improvement everyday or at least consistently and putting in 100 percent concentration no music no irrelevant thoughts just improvement then don't complain. Unless proclaiming that you are bad at aiming is just your thing...
@@meh6513 I’ve been playing CSGO with occasional aim practice for over 10 years and have come to accept that I suck compared to him - I’ll stick to excel’s for my livelihood some people are just pound-for-pound better at some things. Edit: will try the regimen out, though because my practice is very half assed now that you mention it
@@sephondranzer AimLabs is pretty decent but kovaks aim trainer is better although not free as you can change target size and thus practice flicking and tracking a small target like heads in CSGO. But i suppose aim training is only so useful in CSGO as CSGO has spray patterns that you need to learn...maybe CSGO aimbotz might be good for that?
Been using these for about a week now, was expecting more of a feel of difference from the stock feet, but they definitely felt more smooth in the micro movements. It’s kinda crazy when I started hitting more noticeable wingman shots…. Idek if it’s the skates but I definitely see a difference in the amount of wingman shots I hit now. I also modded my switches and scroll encoder that may play a part in it aswell lol
Starlight 12?
How’d you mod it?
When will you review the xlite wireless? I do curious how it stacks up against rvu or superlight in terms of click and sensor latency
do you guys know where i could find stock logitech g pro x superlight feet? i messed mine up and now it just sounds like sandpaper scraping across my mousepad
I do lots of flick shots and use super low sensitivity, the glass feet works really well for me in games. It is a trade between accuracy to responsiveness.

Totally different item but I started using the razer fire fly v2 mouse pad. It's a hard surface and I believe it has helped my aiming and shooting in fps games. The surface allows the mouse to glide effortlessly

@@ynnadk9859 wb the one in the back ground of this vid ,so he doesn't use the 390hz?
Hi friend! Great vid always interesting to watch your reviews What your best recommendations for low sens apex legends player for GPS and Finalmouse 12 mouse feets with hayate otsu/Zero?
I've used these for around 6 months and after the first 3-4 months the skates got very sticky and lost their 'super' glide. A little bit of soapy water on them made them slide nice and smooth again, but they're not as insane as when I first put them on. They used to be overkill now they're just fine. I still find the plastic skates to be the best option however, as they didn't gunk up in the same way quite as easily.
Hey Ali, i was a little worried about some of the criticisms you had for these slides but I gotta say, for heavier mice this is actually a great upgrade, I just put these on the g903 which is 110g, and there is way less resistance when sliding back and forth which is great so far, i can see how this can be rought for people with lightweights though tbh. Another minor detail is that noise is also reduced which probably doesnt matter to most people! anywho great review and keep it up!
Would the superglides work with a glass infused mouspad like the glorious ICE pad ? Or would that be bad for both products ?
Hi ! What version of artisan carpet do you use ?
Thats not just "a" hairdryer 2:04 . THats like one of the most expensive hair drers out there "THE DYSON".. This dude is all about getting the best isnt he :)
I've gotten used to play without glides, and with ingrown glue residue from where the glides sat on my mouse that now have come down into my QcK+ mousepad. That is the kind of stopping power I need. I combat the high resistance with high sensitivity. My tracking actually won't improve with another mouse or clean mousepad. It kind of stays the same, but I do miss all the prediction shots with explosives like rocket launchers when I don't have the stopping power. The only benefit with high glide is that I have to lower the sensitivity that helps with long distance railing, but that's it. Even movement/strafejumping gets worse with higher glide. I hit up to around 46% LG during death matches aganist noobs. I would like to improve that, but I don't really know how. Getting used to no glides and dirty mousepad isn't the best thing in the long run though since it's hard to become consistant when the pad eventually gets too slow even for me due to the dirt.
Is this 1000hz or 500hz? I feel like tracking - 500hz I was doing better with since it smoothed out any jitter I might have added
@@chy.0190 in what way? if you look up youtube videos, some recommend going to 500hz since it reduces the amount of jitter that gets picked up which makes since the mouse is screening positional changes half as much from 1ms to 2ms - it makes it a smoother tracking line with less jitter detected
What about glass vs ceramic skates? I love my ceramic ones on model o w, and after 8 months of heavy use I don't see any visible degredation (glorious 3XL mouse pad). The difference in resistance on a dirty spot on the pad is huge, I expect it to be the same on glass
I honestly think that superglides could be useful as a training tool. Get better mouse control with super low-friction skates (because you have to), and then back on normal skates, you should have better smoothness and not need to micro adjust as much.
There's a reason why very few pros use glass skates. They do look cool but in reality it's just a marketing gimmick.
Deep knowledge content as always 👌
What's the name of the crouching/tracking Kovaak's scenario? I needs to knows
If you want to preserve the day 1 glide of these forever, use an automotive ceramic nanocoating on them. I saw this being done on reddit and the results were insane. Ceramic is much harder to scratch than glass so all the lint and dust particles will have no impact on it
Not sure whether I'll do that but this is definitely very useful and interesting to know.
ive been using the skates for abt a year now on the artisan oytsu and the razer strider but it slows down arround the middle are the skates the problem or the pads
On the note on pulsar, any chance we may see a review of the Pulsar Xlite v2 and the upcoming symmetrical version launching this summer?
So if I think I have surgeon-hands level of stability, they're for me? Hoping they relese these for the mz1, but I'm not holding my breath, since it's a pretty niche mouse
I have the g502 lightspeed X plus, it has virgin grade ptfe My question is: Is the superglide better than the VGPTFE?
Interesting. I feel like I have to try these out now. What I'd really be curious about is to spend a year with them and then try to go back to stock and see what you would prefer
Hey Optimum, could you share your Kovaaks Aim training playlist? Great video btw!
other question, since im living on tropical climate (indonesia), does it will get different result as your tests?
what keyboard is that at 1:37
so which mouse feet do you prefer in G Pro Wireless mainly for FPS type of game?
Back on the G Pro Superlight over the g303? What made you go back?
Thanks for showing these. I got "teflon" pads for my G502 that are better than stock that I'll stick with for a while. Glass would be too slick for me.
Goo Awayyy, your one of the best tech reviewers IMO and you play way better than most people that play 4hrs or more a day.....it's not fair!
Purely curious, have you used any of the old SteelSeries Icemats?
The glide looks really smooth and light, Is this available for Steelseries Rival 650 ?
superlight, with or without the weight cover? im curious of your opinion
@optimum what keyboard is in this video, it's clean man
Glad this come - thank you. Similar experience can be simulated by using a hard surface mouse pad (glass, or razor scraby 9 years ago). Use the G pro wireless (80G, smaller feet) compensate this at right amount.
Do you still use this mouse, or do you use the g303 shroud edition instead?
I am having some scratchy feeling after swapping to superglide skates, as if im hovering over some beads. But that only applies to my hayate otsu, with G640 I wasn't getting the same problem or feeling. *Edit: After a month of usage, it made my hayate otsu very muddy at the middle part which my mouse always be at, almost sticky. I have tried cleaning the pad properly and no visible stains. Weird tho, when i scratch/ swipe the pad with my old steelseries rival 600 w/ stock feet, it removes the muddy feeling at the middle part.
Being honest better than lure anyone to buy things without any knowledge whatsoever that’s why I watch optimum’s videos always is my priority
What you think is the best wireless alternative to zowie EC1? Tks
Did you happen to try them out on a hybrid mouse pad or maybe the Glorious Ice pad?
Glass skates plus a fast cloth pad is a deadly combo, using the skates on a GPW superlight and a fnatic dash mouse pad made my aim a lot more deadly, it gives me speed and smoothness yet just enough control for sudden flicks and stops. It is a God bless for a low-sens gamer like me, CSGO at 480eDPI and Apex at 720eDPI for Apex.
