  • Thanks for the review of the Lectric ebikes. After knee surgery last spring it was clear that my trusty old Trek was not working for me. I bought a Tern. High end, pricey, and at age 70 built to last my lifetime. I got the HSD-S11 with the 500 watt battery and 11 speeds. Full hydraulic brakes and full suspension. This is a pedelec, so no throttle. Plenty of assist if needed, but if I don't pedal I don't go. that is exactly what I preferred. Fits nicely in the bunkhouse of my Rockwood Mini-Lite 2509S through the rear cargo door.

  • Funny coincidence , early this morning Lectric Bikes sent out their email with the Black Friday sale so I ordered the trike I have been looking at for a while . Lo and behold a couple of hours later here is your video with Chris talking about being a trainer and encouraging limited folk like me to get out on the trike . If you had been quicker or I had been slower I would have used your affiliate link ! With arthriris everywhere , artificial hips and knees and a fused lower spine with old vertebra breaks thrown in for good measure , that trike is the rig for me . Have a pedal only adult tricycle but hills have just gotten to be too much . My son is a pretty good welder so we are going to fabricate a custom carrier from a lightweight electric tongue jack to mount to a front hitch on my (fulltime) Class C . Picking 70 pounds up onto a carrier is not for me any more at my age . Looking forward to having an alternative to the toad for things like you mentioned , groceries , laundry , etc . Enjoy your travels !

    • Hello. I see not long ago you got a Lectric Trike. How long did it take for you to receive it once they got their money for product? The Lectric bike company got my payment, $1,711.86 from Bank account, a few days ago, 13Nov2023, and not telling me when they are going to ship it. They stuck a shipping label to the 86 lb box package but not given it to shipping company. I wonder if hold ups are common, if they are out of things, is this their usual way of doing something. So pardon that I ask you how long did it take you to receive trike?

    @bryansprenger@bryansprenger6 ай бұрын
    • 🤣 oops! 🚀 E bike maintenance is very similar to a regular bike as they share many of the exact same components. So checking and cleaning chain, sprockets, gears, brakes, tires, etc. But, you do tend to ride an Ebike a lot more and can add up the miles pretty quick! The motors, controllers and even batteries can last many years. Since they have become so popular over the past years there are also many bike repair shops that work on e bikes as well . 👍

I will be selling the Lectric. Just cannot compare to the Aventons. Aventons are quiet, built amazingly solid, and have better components. If you need a folding option, try the Aventon Sinch. It's amazing! As with all things, you get what you pay for.

  • Hello Chris and Aaron!! This is really an awesome and informative video! Thank you for sharing it! I visited their shop in Phoenix during one of my many trips to AZ. This was probably about the time you started doing your Radbike videos (I also stopped at their store in San Diego). Anyways, that was a few years ago, so they only had the 1 basic folding bike. The staff was really nice and knowledgeable too. They have sooooo many options now! I went with the very comfortable E-lux bike. It is a cruiser type style; and you can ride it all day and not be tired. But....they are huge! My wife has one too. She struggles with the size, despite having a step through model. So, on one of our Phoenix flights, I want to bring her with and get her over to the Lectric store. Because of where we live, we also opted for the E-Lux because of their big battery and larger motor. But.....some of those Lectric's have really upped their game with regards to range! Safe travels!

  • I just can't figure out why they make the seat and handle bars look like they are 4 feet in the air ? It was first stated that it was for like people 4'10" up to 6' something .Irene stated she was 5'7" and on most of them or all but one of them she was on her tip toes. I'm like the guy that say " The Plane boss the plane " lol I'm like 5'4" or 5'5" and there would be no way for my feet to touch the ground on any of these electric bikes. By looking at them without extending the seats or handle bars they already look like they are 8 to 12" high. What could they not make them any taller ? lol but not funny if you are 5'4" short .

    @jeffsteele1295@jeffsteele12956 ай бұрын
    • I hear ya😂 But if you go back and look at the XP Lite and XP 3.0 , the seats could probably go down 8-10 inches. She could have moved the seats down a couple inches and she would might fit a bit better. The trick is though you want your pedal down stroke to have your leg slightly bent. Which a lot of times puts you on tippy toes when in stopped position. 👍

  • Curious why a young fitness based couple is promoting Class 2 E Bikes.

    @davrosmusic@davrosmusic6 ай бұрын
    • Hello! Owning an Ebike doesn't make one "unfit" , just the same as owning a carbon fiber road cyclist bike doesn't make them "fit". Any bike can be a tool or a toy 😊. We personally use our ebikes for fun, exploring new places, or going out on a date to get ice cream. (ok honestly that last one only happened once....but it was AWESOME🍦 🤣) Also, as Chris mentioned they can be a great tool for people with limitations to still get out and get some form of exercise.... or at the very least fresh air and smile on your face like a kid again. We've had hundreds of stories on how ebikes help people like this. Chris has clients in their 50's, 60's and 70's, and unfortunately we all age at some point and run into limitations. Regular bikes are great for some and e bikes are great for others..... and others no bike. 👍

      @IreneIronTravels@IreneIronTravels6 ай бұрын
    • Thanks for the response. I agree with all your points, and I appreciate the feedback. Personally, I think the focus should be on Class 1 ebikes, especially since several states have banned class 2 and 3 ebikes on state trails. Pedal assist is a must for many. However, it just becomes a motorized vehicle without it. A motorized bike that can do 28 mph is dangerous on most bike paths, and rails to trails. They are also bulkier and much heavier if there is a crash. My wife weighs 110 lbs on a 19 lb bike. If she gets hit by a grown adult on a 70lb bike doing 20mph, she is the one that will pay the price. Pedestrians, who also share many paths, are at even greater risk. Just my two cents. Love your channel! Safe travels. @@IreneIronTravels

      @IreneIronTravels@IreneIronTravels4 ай бұрын
    • @IreneIronTravels When I first received my bike, the box was damaged during shipping. After unpacking, the reflector was missing from the front tire. I sent a picture of the back reflector and the front tire. They sent the wrong reflector back. This happened at least 3 times. A supervisor finally took a reflector off of a showroom floor bike to replace mine. I sent in a video of a loud clicking noise coming from the back sprocket area. The noise stops after you gain speed. I was told to take it in for service, but I am not in range of the lectric ebike service center, and the cost is out of your pocket. Who knows the cost associated with that. Reimbursement for warranty is only taken off of your payments. If you have payments, they do not go back into your pocket. I took my bike out in the cold, and the display cracked. The display was replaced in a timely manner at no cost. I do not want to change the display because I have 175 miles on the bike, and I'm afraid it will zero out the mileage. I also had to take the bike in for break adjustments, but the reimbursement went back to the loan I received from affirm. The mileage is not what it claims to be. I am lucky to get 12-14 miles out of the bike. I am 6' - 200 lbs. Customer service did not seem to be able to handle the complaints. I always need to speak to a supervisor to get anything accomplished. I do not have the extended battery, so I can not comment on its range. If you are just going on short trips around town less than 14 miles, I would recommend it. Living in an area where there are flat surfaces, you may get extra miles. Unfortunately, where I live, flat surfaces are not an option.

    • @IreneIronTravels you "had" a good channel. Keep in mind why many of us watched and subscribed to it. Like I said I get what you are doing but when I see the video is nothing but a product commercial I turn it off. When you added your pets it was a plus for us and couldn't wait for the next video. Go make your money but try not to forget your audience. My wife and I are disappointed.

  • 40,000 slave African child mining lithium for these batteries for your lazy life style just doesn't seem fair does it? What's wrong with a normal bike with less weight and you will get fitter faster! Or am I missing something so important about lithium???

    • Awesome, glad it was helpful! There are a lot of options out there for sure! We really enjoyed our years on the larger full frame, fat tire e bikes, and would take those out on 30, 40 , 50 mile bike rides! But on the flip side now we are really enjoying the smaller bikes that 25lbs lighter and we can fold them up into our pass through RV storage or through them in the back of the truck. These are better in (in our opinion) for rides 20 miles and less. But great to have options...enjoy the research part!!
