The real Maybach, built like a tank
For 2020-21 Mercedes needs to bring back the 57 & 62 S Maybach models.
They never sold well,just get a s class and save a ton
They risked bankrupt when first released Maybachs. Too few people knew about the brand, they thought about a longer, heavier, more expensive, more powerful and much more fuel demanding Merceded S.
Facts they were way better new one are regular💯

This car is beyond a Rolls Royce or Bentley. Just the legroom in the backseat is something unbelievable. I saw one of these on the highway about 2 years ago, and it was a stately sight. Just the cars presence on the road demands traffic to yield. I followed it until my exit for about 5 miles. Never saw who was in it, but it was likely someone important. I never saw one on the road again after that sighting. I did see a 57 in a silver 2 tone at a hotel I was staying at. But those are the only 2 I ever saw in person. This car is the pinnacle of land travel. ..Even when compared to a 2020 Mulsanne or Phantom. Nothing else like the Maybach 62S. Even the new Maybachs are a joke compared to this. The new ones are just rebadged S560. I dont think anyone ill make any kind of land transportation as luxurious as this for a long time, if ever.
You're so correct. The thing is that they cost way more than current Maybachs. Maybachs were positioned to compete with the Phantom in '02-03 when they were introduced. The price of the standard 57 was about the same as the Phantom. The 62 is the extended wheelbase version (about 17 inches longer) and more expensive by about $60k. This one, the 62S was even more expensive than the 62 which is why is was roughly half a million dollars. The luxury level is way higher than the Phantom's and the current Maybachs. The newer "Mercedes Maybachs" are simply positioned as the top luxury version of the S-Class, and cost a lot less, unlike these which were a different brand. It's a smart move if you ask me, because buyers didn't think the brand was sufficiently differentiated from the S-Class; so they lost a ton of money and had to stop production in 2013. But no way am I not getting one of these. Even I have to trade one of my lungs. 😋

Wow that is my perfect spec. Love that Japanese style roof window/light. The black leather and that black ashwood is just perfect. Perfect level of chrome accents. Those dials in the rear just finish it off perfectly.

It’s length is impressive! 6 meters Maybach S62 and it won’t fit in most people’s garages. It should have a better key 🔑 though for the price tag 🏷 This is a great 👍🏾 review!

the device in the rear door compartments is the bluetooth connectivity puck. This car just predates Bluetooth being integrated through COMMAND interface.
Incorrect. It is a mirror. 62 length rendered ceiling vanity mirrors inconvenient and thus a hand mirror was added. Danke.

Boy! What I wouldn't give to own this beauty!
The interior is even more lovely in a contrasting colour like cream. I prefer the interior and dashboard of this to that of the newer Maybachs. Technology has made the dash lighter. I love that old Benz interior. There's a very nostalgic, dignified quality to it. That combo of leather and formica. The two-tone exteriors are better to me too. The length of the wheelbase of the 62 is 150.7 inches, still a foot and half longer than that of the current Maybachs. The higher pricing/positioning of this means it's more luxurious in comparison. The modern Maybachs are simply top of the range S-Classes now. I don't blame them though.
I love the MAYBACH. 57s and 62s. AN amazing car. It is a shame they discontinued production on them. I thought they better looking then the Mercedes-Benz. The head lights the grill and the tail light treatment too. Jeff

@@namrehtv2746 not even close. Not at all Mercedes-Maybach s class are still S class, but with finer materials. This.. This was miles ahead Rolls-Royce in terms of quality, fine materials, etc... It was purely incrediblu luxurious, but its bland design (it looks like an S class), the fact no one knew Maybach, and its tremendous price (it cost $500k with no options, this one cost around $600k) made the brand fail

11:26 that's a hand held mirror for the rear passenger because of the sunroof, they didn't get it on the roof placed like in normal cars. So mercedes made one to be used like this.
