  • Zoals gewoonlijk, leuke video! Ik vraag me af waar de accent van de presentator vandaan komt. Limburg of Noord-Brabant?

  • Would appreciate suggestions please? I've been here some time & now working at the language. I'm older & my hearing is compromised so having to read the English subtitles quite a lot in this video. I've picked up a good amount of vocabulary so that helps but the Dutch here is spoken at normal speed so I can't quite keep up. Should I continue or find another source where conversations are conducted at a slightly slower pace for now? (Otherwise, I find this series really good!) Would appreciate some feedback. Thanks

    @feronkkoo5066@feronkkoo50662 жыл бұрын
    • Actually, this is a phenomenon which occurs often in the Netherlands and in Dutch. Some Dutch speakers tend to use English words, even if there's a Dutch equivalent that would fit. For some other words, the Dutch didn't invent their own translation, so they just use the English ones. Dutch people accept a lot of language influences. :D

  • I really feel sorry for dutch people- very honest, but they seem to have horrific private lives. Flying thousands of km just to see their girlfriends and kids. This is not cosmopolitan society. This is social entropy.
