Speaking as someone who owns a small white rabbit with red eyes (her name is Mittens... short for Amityville Horror - her husband is Hellspawn, their predecessors were Hellraiser, Cenobite, and Beetlejuice), she would absolutely take a dirty plate from you, and then throw it across her pen, thump her back feet at you, and go to glare from a corner.

With cottage living, if you have chickens, you can collect "real" colored eggs during the egg hunt too. The extra things in all the collections came in additional packs. That's where the two extra eggs came from, maybe with Seasons?
But the whole collection IS from seasons, isn’t it?

@@chyrchhella7804 I think the original 10 egg collection was added in around 2015 as part of a challenge and the additional two eggs (the glowing ones) were added later. If you look in game, you only have to collection the original 10 eggs to complete the collection. I just don't remember the details surrounding when the rare glowing eggs were added.
When I first got Cottage Living, all the eggs I found were from the Chickens. But then it stopped so I thought I wasn't supposed to find those lol. Do you need to own chickens to find their eggs?
@@toxxicx I saw the same thing in my game. Now, if I set the Easter holiday up, I tend to see a mix of the decorated eggs and real ones, but only when I actually own chickens in the game I'm playing. I actually like the mix.

Not gonna lie, as a non-American it always surprises me that Easter is such a non event to you Americans. Here it's on par with Christmas and there is no way one forgets it's Easter.

@@DuchessTheAristocat I think when organized religion was more common here it was definitely a bigger thing. Chocolate companies don’t really do their Easter eggs right. At least the way that the UK does. The US pivoted to selling plastic eggs, plastic “grass” (to fill an entire basket with) and kind of over saturated the holiday with too many candies to the point where it is difficult to pay attention unless you are a small child and the Easter bunny is coming (or you are a parent who feels social pressure to buy all these things). I’d be happy with a chocolate egg to be done with it!
@@allykropp5276 Thats strange to learn about. Here in the other side of the continent, is a big deal. Mostly because of the two off-days leading to the easter weekend. We called it saint week. And of course, the selling of chocolate eggs (and bunnies) bussiness is way bigger than what youre saying. It goes beyond just small children. Its more of a "for the whole family" thing and it goes hand in hand with the rueda de pascua (something like a king cake with custard cream and cherries or chocolate) tradition that reaches older people. Sounds like chocolate companies over there are missing out on a gold mine. Or maybe the cultural diference is too wide for it to work the same way, i dunno.
When My Wedding Stories came out, the first time I tried the new kind of weddings was with the flower bunny. That was before the orientation update, so I could romance her. She had the mean trait. My sim was a plant sim, if that makes it any less weird.
The orientation update was one of the worst things to ever come to the sims, it broke immersion for me 😭 And then suddenly depending on the save, EVERYONE was straight. It forced me to play always heterosexual (I do like 50% of the time so it's not so big a deal) or go through the tedious task of making people pansexual through cheats.
On the special Sims having romantic interests: of course Father Winter doesn't. There's literally a special trait for being his kid.
Whats the trait? I've never romanced him cause it feels weird 😂😂
@@KatelynxXxAngel Father Winter's Baby, IIRC. It just gives 50% more satisfaction points when completing whims. It just makes the kid a good farm for them to get potions and stuff if needed. Good for certain game play styles or challenges. There's an Island Living trait like this too, having one of the Island spirits as a parent IIRC. Sulani Power? IDK. Kid can summon giant rocks and boost plants. And most people know the spellcaster bloodline. Plus I think werewolves have one similar that boost wolf kids just not multi-gen getting stronger like casters.
@@_Fizel_Werewolves have two, but they're just random. There's the Dormant Wolf trait, where they're wolf-ish but not actual werewolves, and something like 'moonblessed' or something where they gain points faster.
I have so much respect for Seasons!! no other pack (that I can remember) changes and influences all of the game the way seasons does, which duh- it's pretty obvious why, but still considering the game's history?? feels like a milestone

I think it’s bc Christmas has become so secular! The US is becoming less religious by the minute so while everyone still loves Christmas, many people are much more excited for St Patrick’s Day in March than Easter, and while grocery stores do a little bit, it’s almost only actually Christian families that celebrate
@@sofiac1814 interesting viewpoint! Here it's not really a religious thing for most ppl anymore. Kids get sweets, we paint eggs, we eat traditional Easter food like ham and it's just a vibe to go along with the traditions
@@sofiac1814 In my case it's more that our school break is called Spring Break and not Easter Break (despite covering Good Friday and lasting past Easter), the break from school is the main thing on my mind rather than the holiday that falls inside it. Probably doesn't help that I woke up with a migraine and couldn't end up doing anything Easter-y anyway, lol.

I kinda enjoyed the events with Jasmine holiday. I miss them a little bit. We used to have a plant sim event that always happened around spring where Jasmine would come to your house and give you some fruit to turn you into a plant sim. There was a tree stump thing you had to fill with magic beens you can get while gardening as a plant sim. You could then grow a tree with a portal similar to the tree in Willow Creek. Oh, the times!

i find it a little amusing how they switched it to “winterfest” and “father winter” to be more inclusive then ended up having it not line up for anyone in the southern hemisphere where christmas is in the summer

There was also that sugar skulls limited challenge for Día de los muertos during this same period too! I still think about it often and wonder what it was😂
You can still get the sugar skulls! If you go to a gravestone and I think leave an offering or something, someone turns up in a dia costume and you can talk to them and get a skull and collect them.
This just made me remember the thought I had about the Sims movie and if they added Stanley in the movie like "Oh, that's Stanley. He is always trying to get rich quick or die trying." Stanley dies then it shows Kayla complaining that Stanley wasn't supposed to die yet like they did with the Wreck It Ralph movie.

You should make houses for different special sims, like the flower bunny, Grim, Daddy Winter, Senior Pollination Technician etc
If you want to make a perfect grow fruit, you can get it either in the Kiosk in Granite Falls or in the rare seeds packs. The fertilizer harvested from the bug house in Eco Lifestyle is the Jasmine Holliday fertilizer. The flowers from Bunny Day can be hilarious if your sim has a hired gardener. Because the flowers will be scattered everywhere and the gardener will autonomously plant them. On a side note, I make a ton of extra holidays in the game. I always do Bunny Day and have the child sims get eggs and talk to the bunny. Then plant the flowers. I do a summer cookout holiday and use the water slides from Backyard Stuff, grill some food. This is especially fun with child sims. In the winter, between Winterfest and New Years I do an additional winter holiday with storytelling and the Polar Bear Plunge. (this is especially useful for determining legacy heir survivors).

The challenges they used to have on the sims 4 were really random, but at the time I had a lot of fun with them. It gave you something to do when sims 4 was really lacking in things to do and I love collectibles

A cool video idea for people who are newer to The Sims could be like a history/ plot and character introduction of the sims base characters.
I believe for the collections, if it has like a +2 or +# they were released in an expansion, so if you don’t have the expansion they come in, they don’t dock you, you can still complete the collection, but if you DO have the expansion they were released in, you can get a few extra 🥰
I have never tried to look who was wearing that bunny costume. lol I wonder if it's a different person for every players game or the same for everyone. Too bad you can't get rich with the eggs.
The egg collection is the only collection I’ve ever completed, and my 1000 (not a typo) baby challenge has the bunny blarfy to prove it
There are 10 eggs in the original collection + 2 from a different pack that were added later
I saw the last bunny too but it was like a ghost bunny that came and left at the edge if the lot. But it came!

I've seen someone else say it already but I can confirm the red +2 (and other red +# on other collections) is for things added with a different pack. The fish and plant sections has a ton of those. I think it's to mark of what is the original collection because those might be the only ones needed to get the plaque? Not that I often find myself doing anything with those so I'm not sure on that part

Hello lilsimsie, I love your videos but I need to tell you about a dream I had tonight. I was Stanley Humphrey and I had children who were all called Stanley and wore hotdog outfits. I then went out with my little army of Stanleys (we were like 150 Stanleys at that point) and we set our entire neighbourhood on fire. The whole town was panicking while we were walking around with our torches. I cannot explain why I dreamed about this, nor can I explain any relation to it because I haven't been watching your videos in a while, but I feel like it was a sign.

I wonder if the flower bunny is related to the social bunny… remember them? That crazy hallucination you got in Sims2 when you were lonely… and it was NEVER the same bunny. They were different every single time. I checked. My relationship panel was filled with like 50 different bunnies I couldn’t talk to or progress our friendship more
