Secondly, Bruno the Pitbull dog, and the monkey have been fighting/playing like this continuously for the previous few days. So, I was already knowing that no one is gonna harm the other one. Scarring it's left eye is far different than seeing dead dogs high up in trees. I have never seen a monkey kill a medium to large dog. Or heard of it. Sure they can get injured. Especially when there are several monkeys on one dog. Monkeys are a common prey species for many predators, including dogs. Especially feral dogs. If they are hunting in packs, forget it. Now they are running loose in parks, forests in Central Florida. People come to the parks to do what people do, barbeque, hike, whatever. Some have said the minute they get out of their cars, these monkeys run up to them to beg or hang around for food. And then get aggressive when people refuse to feed them. Florida Fish and Game says some of them are carriers of herpes-b viruses and other diseases that are harmful to humans. I've been there. You are allowed to hunt them all day long. No license needed. Plus they are an invasive species. They need to be removed. Permanent like.
Furthermore, my dogs have never even been injured. It's an easy kill for them.

As compared to most dogs I have seen, this kiddo is quite brave. He holds his ground and Monkey could not intimidate him. Yes, puppy was cautious. But not feared at all.

In Himachal, I once saw a monkey in a similar situation on a boundary wall. Only the other side was a 10 ft King Cobra. Monkey kept punching the snake's hood. Ultimately, he grabbed the snake right from the neck and kept banging it on the wall, till the Cobra died... Don't take monkey lightly. They're capable of doing a lot of damage
They're also very smart, able to figure out different ways to defeat different animals.
