I like how this strapless dress doesn't look like it's going to fall down and also isn't holding on so tight that flesh bulges. That belt certainly makes it more secure too. So many strapless tops and dresses look dangerous or unflattering, in in weddingdress form.
Yes! I really dislike how low on the body strapless wedding dresses ride these days. We're supposed to be sealing a sovereign vow, not nightclubbing.
@@apisme9090 Oh yeah don't get me started on "sexy" weddingdresses. You're in a church, in front of your parents and his, maybe grandparents and the priest, why do you need to be sexy? And I think the shopworkers are to blame, telling women they look great when in fact there are spilling out of the dress. Especially the back gets neglected because they want to give the woman shape so they tighten the corsets but the fat has to go somewhere and so it goes up and out. You should be able to trust the pro's with making you look your best, even if that means some other structure, some straps, sleeves. a higher neckline. The dress costs so much after all.
@@Iflie I was in a wedding once where I tried to talk the bride out of a strapless dress for this very reason. No dice, it was the mid-00s and I'm not sure they had anything else but strapless in the shop, but I tried.
@@JenniferSPugh Yeah it almost seems standard in some places and they think sleeves are for religious modesty or something. But you do see more "cheap" alternatives with beautiful flattering dresses with sleeves and a fantasy feel. Makes you think paying all that money for a "real" weddingdress isn't needed at all. Especially since they don't make people look that great a lot of the time. I mean many women are not willowy when they get married and exposing all that back with, which I have too btw, isn't making them look their best. Especially with bulges. In the shows with speciality shops for bigger brides they truss them up till they also overal look uncomfortable. Suffocated by your own boobs, haha

Adding a petticoat was genius! I don't like miniskirts as much as I did anymore and you have given me a really good tip to refresh my dresses. I can't wait to try it on!

I loved the first outfit with the petticoat underneath the mini dress! So flirty and fun to twirl in. Combining the mini dress with the fringe bolero jacket was my next favourite. I adored the movement the fringe gave the outfit! 😍💜😍

Oh my goodness you look adorable in that dress. That was definitely a find. Adding that belt and petticoat gave that dress a cool retro-50s vibe, and pairing it with the black shoes works. The ghost of Christian Dior is applauding you for putting a modern twist to his 1950s New Look. It’s perfect for a party! I also like adding the cardigan to make the dress ready for daytime/office.

I loved the black shoes and petticoat! The black handbag was very pretty with it too. I would suggest some shiny black earrings or a clear short tennis necklace with the beautiful outfit.

The cardigan, capelet, Daffy options all seemed to be competing with the pattern of this dress. So that's why I liked Option 1 best.

I LOVE the petticoat trick!!! Minis are ultra mini on my Long thick legs, I prefer a midi!!! I've never learned so many new tricks at once!!
Of the mini looks, definitely the bolero. But petticoat also was genius.

for outfit one i think some black/white gloves would look really good. for outfit two, i really liked the second last bolero, the fringe one. i think with the cape you chose for outfit two, you could pair it with gloves as well.
I was screaming "leather jacket leather jacket leather jacket!" And I was NOT disappointed when the sparkly petticoat came out, because black and sparkly firm edged top was my intuition and I'm glad it was yours too! But now I can ALSO see I don't have to slap leather on it all the time lol the fabric version works just as well!

I know you love black, and look good in it, but I'd also love to see more inclusion of colors/ colored outfits, as these take more skill to style. Edit: I very much appreciate your efforts in teaching us and uplifting us, versus the "look at me in my clothes!" of most fashion-tubers.
Id love to see a video about belts, and maybe what kind of belts you should get if you want to achieve certain looks or styles. I always neglect belts, but whenever I see Andrea use them, they always help bring the outfit together 💕

My favorite was the one with the petite coat. But put the jacket on the one I like that you used in the third look would be to die for. My goodness, I like fashion. I'm old, I must have a fever. All kidding aside, you made me realize I can be old but stylish. This is the first time in about forty years that I want to go shopping. I normally wear shorts and t shirts

Given my age and body type, I would prefer the petticoat. All of the toppers are beautiful additions as well just depending on the occasion and vibe. Well done as always, I love seeing clothes up-cycled in new, fun and unexpected ways b/c I lack that creativity.

The second look is my favourite. I like the idea of the petticoat underneath but a shorter petticoat would be better.
