The way Toast articulates his words making everybody second guess their initial thought Is ingenious
as peter said “you literally make me question my sanity” meaning. toast you’re so goddamned good with words you fucked my brains to slush and now i’m not sure if i actually what i saw.
It depends on the lobby. Weak minded or insecure individuals are easily manipulated and ultimately gaslit. I mean if no one can corroborate his story (especially in the early game) and someone saw him vent, that should be a red flag.
He's an Asian man playing with a bunch of Americans he grew up getting beaten if he didn't get A
His strategy is genious. Normally people would tense up and go on the "well then you're the imposter because I'm not the imposter so you're lying" when accused and be super defensive and aggressive, which usually won't end well. But toast always backs up certain portions of the accusers statement and argues that the accuser probably isn't the imposter, then he calmly and but confidently states that he isn't the imposter. Counterintuitive for many but really effective.
Another strat is he woild say that he completely understands why the accuser would think so and doesn't think he is necessarily wrong but then diverts the attention by asking someone else a question with a bridge in between like "but let me ask just one question to Jodi...".

He saw Abe go into medbay on cameras, got off cameras, and saw the vent animation in medbay. Since no one else would have been in medbay because you wouldn't vent otherwise as imposter, unless they were also in medbay, so it had to be Abe.

I've been a few lobbies like that. However, I usually get them to understand how to play the fkn game, then after a few rounds they start actually playing, providing evidence, why they believe it's this person, properly vouching for somebody. It's beautiful :,)

You need people who are unsure of themselves. If Toast did this in other youtuber lobbies he would be killed on the spot. A major skill in this game is "feeling out" the lobby around you. Toast does this really well.

[NonExistant] MolecularCandy First of all the 0.8*0.8 doesn’t apply because it’s dependent probability (don’t know if that’s the correct English word) you only care if toast is a crewmember if you are one too so it’s only the 7/9 chance of toast being a crewmember you have to consider. Secondly if you see toast venting this 7 in 9 chance drops to 0 because he is obviously an imposter so there’s no reason to keep him alive. Of course he will try to lie because that’s his only chance of survival
WOW I hate when people say that because there are few games that are less competitive than among us, so calling streamers who are playing this game for entertainment „terrible players“ is just super unnecessary and toxic
