    • Federer blew it totally. It was a weird match, netiher of them played good for their standards. Federer, being the agressive player, had the chances. In another year Djokovic would have won in 4 sets, like 2015, after that first and third set. Somehow Federer came back in the fourth, in the fifth and even more amazingly hold his serve after he blew those match points.

    • Nah he just eats the grass cause it's a tradition by him. Also his regular diet is plant based (doesn't consume animal meats or diary), so it makes sense he eats the grass. I believe it's his way to honor the tournament which was his biggest dream to win one day, when he was a little toddler. And a way to also humble himself before God, and to thank God himself for all the blessings he keeps putting in his life. That's my idea of why Nole eats the grass every time he wins the tournament at Wimbledon.

      @natoskull2@natoskull210 ай бұрын
    • Natoskull, the answer is simpler than that, actually. Nole himself said on WIRED, that he simply wanted to do something different, and that he "couldn't have come up with a more original idea" so he decided to "might as well just eat some grass." :)

    @xhioni@xhioni10 ай бұрын
    • And before 2011 the records were pretty much the opposite. Let's compare apples with apples....when all 3 guys were in their 20's Novak had only 3 majors, way behind the other 2 greats. The reason and a fact, that he caught up is when Federer was aging and Novak was in his prime and Nadal did'nt play much because of injuries. Novak has won 17 of his majors when Federer was 33+ years old. Federer and Nadal have missed way more majors than Novak.. Novak actually has won his 3 last majors without the other 2 in the tournament. Novak is cashing in now because of a weak era. There's no one a threat in their prime with multiple major wins...only one guy, Thiem with one and he has also been out a lot due to injuries. When Federer was Novak's age 33-36 Fed had all these guys challenging him in their prime 26-29 yrs old...Nadal, Novak, Warrinka, Murray, Del Potro, Cilic ...the fact is there is no comparison in the era between Novak in his 30's compared to Fed in his 30's. Federer had a way tougher scenario...and that's why he didn't win as many majors as Novak in their 30's. Common sense.

    • @@aamoux7 Jack Nicklaus has more majors and other stats better than than Tiger Woods, but most experts and your average people that play golf agree that Tiger Woods is the better golfer, the most talented golfer of all time. Everyone agrees that if Tiger didn't miss 9 years because of surgeries/injuries that he would of more majors. Nicklaus is the greatest champion of all time, just like Novak will be, but that doesn't mean that they are necessarily the GOAT. Thus, stats only do not automatically crown an athlete as the GOAT. Many things factor in such as ...overall talent, wins, sportsmanship, popularity, other stats that are not necessarily only wins, what he/she has done for the sport, respect from his/her peers, era played in, stats compared to his/her peers playing in the same era, etc, etc. Thus, to be objective and fair to all 3 greats, it's fair to say that Nadal, Federer, Novak should all be given the title of GOAT for different and specific reasons. Rogers fanbase in England hates him because they know he will beat Rogers record and thats why they are always cheering for whomever he is playing. After RG 2014, Fed had 17, Nadal 14, Novak 6 GS. After RG 2016, it was Fed 17, Nadal 14, Novak 12. After RG 2018, Fed had 20, Nadal 17 Novak 12. After its all said and done, it will be Novak 23, Nadal 21, Fed 20. Not taking anything from Fed, unlike his fans. I like him, they are all timeless and iconic athletes who are very close in terms of greatness, and not like one is the best and the other two are trash, what majority of fan coments on youtube say.

Nadal greatest on clay, Federer on grass, Novak on hard, Federer indoor, Novak most majors won, Federer most all round talent, Federer has done most for the sport, Nadal/Federer most sportsmanlike, Federer most popular, Novak least respected by far by most tennis fans in the world. Other facts: Federer played in a different and tougher era/scenario than Novak and Nadal. Another fact: Nadal 13 and Federer 15 missed majors to date, while Novak only 3 (thus if the numbers were the opposite, Novak would have less major titles and Nadal/Federer would have more)...another fact is while Novak was in his 30s he played in the weakest era ever...and thus why he won half of his majors in his majors while Federer was 36+ in age missing 13 of 23 majors after 36....another fact is Novak was always 6 years younger than Federer, imagine if the tables were turned. Fact: everyone who watched 2019 Wimbledon final and Novak also admits it too, Federer was the better player that day and deserved to win that match. That one match/one point would of changed history. Fact: why are Nadal and Federer ok with naming all 3 guys as GOAT but Novak fans are soooo obnoxious/stubborn/arrogant that Novak has to be the GOAT.

  • This was such a brutal loss for Federer. And Djokovic did it. One of the best matches since 2000 in my opinion. I still cant believe how Federer with such amazing tennis the entire match ánd 2 matchpoints still did not win. And of course for Djokovic all the credits. His mental strength is the best maybe ever in tennis sports.

    • I agree the fans are a disgrace, I'm a brit and cant stand the wimbly crowd of the last 10 years. I would really like novak to play in another part of the uk away from the snobby biased crowds. Thought truthfully I think Rafa would be the most popular of the big three in most of the uk, but Novak with his attitude would definitely be very respected and celebrated for his accomplishments.

  • I watched this match live and was so furious to see fed choking on important points. After a few years, seeing Djoker consolidating his position as tennis GOAT, I kinda can better understand why. This day Novak looked probably 70% of his best at best and Roger looked at least 90% of himself yet was defeated.
