    • Very thematically relevant with Oppenheimer. He created a weapon so powerful that it rivals the destructive poewrs of the gods. He was, in fact, playing god. But he was also just a mere mortal. A god and a mortal at the same time, grappling with the reality of what his soul crushing creation did to those people in nagasaki and hiroshima, and that he gave people the means to destroy themselves for good.

  • the incredible thing about oppenheimer’s soundtrack is that all songs are both abstract without a clear melody, yet concrete with a specific, powerful emotion each piece is attempting to push. • Not to mention the feeling of desperation combined with that feeling of greatness. The feeling of this song to me is summed up by the sentences, “was this a mistake? what have i done?” To me this score makes me question my morales but at the same time sit in awe from what just happened. Its almost like the piece itself cries out to the audience
