We hear Abdullah a few moments before we see him.
His distant screams are echoing down the corridor at the Turkish hospital in downtown Doha. “I am in pain” he shouts, in Arabic from afar. “I need painkillers.”
We travelled with him to Qatar from Egypt’s border with Gaza four days earlier.

@@orientalgirl8926Yes, I fully agree with you. This a trauma on every level: on individual level, family, community level and a historic trauma which will remain for centuries to come. One need to look at the experience and history of Europe ... eg. Poland, or even Germany ... the trauma remains a trauma regardless who is the winner or the looser in technical terms. Because there is no winners in war ... apart from the weapons' lobby and some psychopath and ambitious politicians who are short sighted and only think of themselves ... It is heart breaking ...
What we have done to these children is unforgiveable.
The UK is, of course, deeply implicated in this atrocity by supplying weapons and other military assistance.
It's good to see that people are finally speaking out against the atrocities perpetrated by their governments.

In my work at a London local council we have sky news on the telly in the lobby; and it’s always reported as Israel Hamas war - it makes me sick, I’ve only been in one day in the office this week - I actually feel really sick about my work colleagues and how they are making light of such a serious man made humanitarian crisis - I’ve finally understood how ordinary Germans were ok with Holocaust, cos they had bills to pay and totally dehumanised another group of people; its in every UK workplace now, I’ve lost friends on this because they think the news should stop going on about it…like hello our government is a perpetrator in this particular trauma (1917 Balfour treaty anyone…) and is still supplying weapons and intelligence to Israel - UK is now ruled by psychopaths, both Tory & Labour are the same; I’ve voting Green as they actually care for something

It's so lovely to see the joyous smiles and hear the laughter of those children liing in that new comples of apartments , but also very harrowing to see and hear that first little boy's desperation ,needing his father and worrying about him, on too of all of his own pain from horrendous injuries . We onlookers have no true idea what it must be like in the minds of the wounded who are separated from family and friends and who have lost so much . These few are the lucky ones whi have been brought out of the war zones ,and they must feel part guilt because so many were left behind . That must be an awfully bittersweet feeling 🤍
