Can tell Matty is a genuine snooker fan. He has a brilliant knowledge of the sport for someone who has played it a few years. Have a friend like that, he's just naturally good at any sport he tries.
That's a guest I didn't expect. As a Pole, and massive snooker enthusiast, this is like a combination of separate worlds for me. Love Matty for our national team, he always gives his best.

this is by far my favorite you tube channel. i'm not even a snooker player but as i was a kid, i watched stephen playing on tv. not watching it because of snooker, watching it because of calm and positiv conversations.

I only found this Chanel a week ago. And I’ve seen almost every video now. Loving it. Especially with the footballers. It’s nice to see and hear about the behind the scenes of there lives. And I enjoy listening to Hendry. Realising I’ve always had him judged all wrong.
Seen Marty on golf channels as well before, seems like a genuinely down to earth guy and a natural talent at every sport 😅

I never liked Stephen in the 90’s because I’d always been a huge Davis fan. But wow how he’s grown on me, I think he’s the true GOAT and what a KZhead Channel. Great content!

He had the most dominant stretch ever, but Ronnie has sustained his play over a much longer period of time and against tougher competition, so I'd put Ronnie #1 and Stephen #2.

@@PaulPaul-et2zm It depends how you define greatest of all time. Does Judd have the most talent ever? Maybe, but he doesn't have the accomplishments (yet) of someone like Hendry or Davis. He may get there, but for now he wouldn't be in the top 5. Other factors are impact/innovation on the game, and box office draw, both of which I think Trump lags in compared to past greats. Nevertheless Trump is also one of my favourites to watch and he may get to #1 or 2 one day as he's still so young.

Always had the impression Hendry was up tight and standoffish when he was playing. Seeing a few of these vids now have totally changed that perception. Seems like a really nice guy, calm, patient, warm. Fair play to Matty for asking so many questions and tapping into that knowledge
In most sports, the ones who seem standoffish are usually the best ones outside of their sport. You have to be able to switch between competitive mode and relaxed mode and people like Stephen do that so well

My home town of Maidenhead, Berkshire was mentioned by Matt which of course is not far away from where the Cue Tips channel normally resides. I don’t think he said “50 odd” because he didn’t remember he said it because it was probably a bit embarrassing to say “56!” To Stephen Hendry
you just know it's 3 reds/blacks plus the colours (ie 12 balls total).
Depends how you define a snooker player. I don't know exactly what mine is, I just know it's 30 something, but I'm not a snooker player, I'm just a person that occasionally plays snooker.

you can see Stephen biting his tongue so as not to point out all the mistakes: elbow bent, arm not vertical. It must be tough to be so good and still allow people to enjoy the game without being too critical of their technique.

Love these type of videos Stephen. As an avid amateur (i stress the word amateur!) snooker player, I’ve learnt a great deal watching your videos and have had some success adding them to my game. Question though, have you considered running a competition or something whereby the winner could spend a couple of hours with you, it would certain make for an interesting video.. you vs an amateur (who could have a 100 point head start, minimum 😅).

Why? He scored 25 with hendry talking and asking questions. He also made some nice shots. Its not like he said he makes 50 the whole time. Some days a player is on his game other times he can be utter shit. It happens
