ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

As someone who isn’t a very good singer but loves singing, you are so positive and encouraging thank you!
You don't have to be a trained singer. There are natural talents, too. Rebecca is so focussed on technique, but for example, we have one woman here in our local community of friends. She never had any vocal training, but the moment she sings, the whole place is reverberating and ringing. We have a wee "family band", we call "the serial chillers", just with harp, guitar, tin whistle, drums, bagpipe an her. And people in the vicinity are coming crashing gates when they hear her voice raising up.

3:20 - The 70's vibe you're hearing is "Bossa Nova" (a Brazilian music style). I'm sure you've heard "Garota de Ipanema" or the english version "Girl From Ipanema", which is the most famous exemple of this style.

@@soundye If I'm getting what you're asking, I think she's just making a example. Not necessarily from a specific song. Alcohol Free itself has this kind of percussion work. You can listen to it very well at the crab dance part. Also, just to be clear, I didn't say "Garota de Ipanema" was exactly like it. I just said it was the most famous "Bossa Nova" song. There's many others that probably sound more like that.
