I feel like the 25-30 crisis is the new midlife crisis. We hold such high expectations over ourselves - To be so successful, as soon as possible; to have everything figured out; to have a perfect relationship, a great career and a large group of close friends, and be able to manage all of that in the same time, while getting 8hour sleep and hitting the gym early in the morning; to being mature and always so put together; to always looking sharp; to always knowing what we want at all times - and that is just so overwhelming. I often miss times when I just enjoyed moments and feel like those were the highlights of my life. This is a great song! Such relatable feelings for our generation!

I feel like this realization really hits you once you become a young adult. You suddenly realize your childhood is behind you and your teen years are over and there is no turning back. You canʼt relive it, you only have the memories left that you go back to once in a while when adult life feels too overhwhelming. You feel like an adult child because youʼll never be this young again but itʼs also the first time youʼve been this old. And itʼs all so confusing and time never really lets you breathe really. The anxiety and stress that come along with this epiphany are crushing. As the line in the song says, "What if everything else stays the same for my whole life", I think that is what I fear the most as well.

This really resonates with me right now. I’m currently 21 and I am so terrified about my future. I see all of my childhood friends move on and graduate college and make new friends and whatever while I struggle with accepting the fact I’m an adult. I turn 30 in Feb and I'm looking forward to it! My life has been so hard for so long and I fee like its FINALLY becoming mine to enjoy. Yes sometimes I waste a day doing nothing or I spend a bit too much on ASOS or something but I am living it for me. If I died tomorrow my only regret would be not doing it sooner. If you live to 70 and you are almost 30, you still have more life in front of you than you have ever lived, of course life will change, sometimes it will be shit and sometimes it will be amazing. If you aren't happy do something about it!

this song is exactly what I'm feeling, everyday, every single second, not being able to move forward and feeling shallow and sad because of what I've lost, trying to move forward, possibly forcing myself but feels like there's no hope and being stuck with the mean days, it's a realisation of growing up that not everything is unicorn and rainbows and this is hardest lesson I've learned at the age of 18

I don’t know how, but Alessia always seems to know how I’m feeling. This feeling of not knowing where you’re headed, or even which direction you should go in. It feels like you’re stuck in a maze. You’ll walk around, feel hopeless and than just run into dead ends but you’ll have to remind yourself there is a way out. Eventually you’ll find a way that brings you onward a little while but you don’t even consciously realise that because you’re still hopeless and thinking you’ll never find a way out. And that probably continues until you walk out of the maze eventually
I’m 39, and you I’ll give you advise. Enjoy your life in seasons. 10,20,30,40,50, ect. You can compare the decades. You just got to remember to make the best out of them.

I think we feel that way when we become adults, it's a transition period between 17 and 18 (early adulthood). I believe that it is a period of great insecurity, often caused by the lack of preparation that we were not given for the "beginning of this new life". Based on my life experience, the biggest cause of this insecurity is anxiety and later stress, sometimes the fear of not having good times like before... I realized that most of the time the biggest cause of these insecurities is not having the predictability of the past and when we reach adulthood everything is very uncertain, our vision changes and we don't see the predictability of the days again.
Living in the worlds longest lockdown from Covid aka Melbourne Australia has mental killed me. I graduated high school in 2019 which was the most happy I’ve ever been in my life. The friends and memories I’ll never forget. The past two years I’ve always wondered if I will ever reach that type of happiness again. This song really hits me deep, thank u Alessia
