Personaly I dont think halo has to end before 2589, but rather that humanity needs to fully reclaim their core worlds, which is where reach is located. There is still plenty of room for conflict in the frontieers of human space, such as a new flood outbreak or whatever may happen with the endless. Halo doesnt need to end, but humanity does need to be on the upswing.
Many wasted potentials easily can be explored, osdt, marine, aliens, story compan. Many many more they can make story but they only focus master cheif story I'm alright I love this big green man but we need more diversity
I mean, Halo Reach was the loss of Hope, would be fitting that whatever the end is would be the regaining of Hope for humanity
@@TheDragonfridayThey have to. He’s literally the franchise lol. Plus Steve Downes time on this earth is limited, so Chiefs story needs to be tied up.
It'll go the Mass Effect route I think. Multiple species living together in a semi-galactic society. The Human-Covernant War is just one story & it's loaded with lore, imagine humanity in another 500 years in Halo, all their worlds will be claimed plus more, all other civilisations like Elites will be living in peace with them in some kind of federation council. & they can introduce new civilisations & conflicts.
Imagine one of the missions being retaking reach, landing on it and seeing the effects of the glassing. That would be really emotional
There still 2607 in the Believe campaign, though, when the Human-Covenant War veterans are being interviewed at the Museum of Humanity. It is confirmed to be canon, after all.

I think this is a compelling idea, but only if 343 is willing to release a Mature rated game to see the flood for who they are
I would be on board with that, but I unfortunately don't see that happening under 343. I believe they will continue making their games Rated T as long as they are striving to reach out to the "broader audience."
@Woog-04 same crap as what they did with the jurassic park movie vs the novel, the novel was way more graphic, but no Hollywood wanted to appeal to kids, in this case bungie started halo rated in mature, over time it became rated teen, but I'm assuming this is Microsoft at work more than 343 seeing the teen rating came along in halo 2 if I'm not mistaken

Thats how all bungie games work@@nickm5419
The Banished, Swords, and UNSC all banding together to fight the Flood really feels like an interesting callback to Halo Legend's Origin II story. I'm surprised no one else has made this connection. I remember when that episode came out, we were all confused as at the time, we thought the Flood was dealt with entirely. We were wondering why Cortana envisioned everyone banding together to fight a common enemy, the Flood. But with this new explanation, we could actually have a full circle moment that I think, would be appreciated.
It's was ment to be part of the original halo 4 story that bungie would have made.
Considering they brought back Cortana after killing her the previous game, and killed the didact, brought him back in a comic, killed him again and brought him back in that novel, that date doesnt mean shite to 343😂
I don't think that's the "end" of Halo. I think it was just a way to say that humanity was indeed attempting to reterraform glassed worlds by 2554.
Assuming we ever get Halo narrative content again. Mighty bold to trust 343 to do that

Personally, I don't see why the recolonization efforts and the UNSC's current struggles can't happen at the same time. The UNSC is/was quite a vast organisation so if its footing against the Created and the Banished were to improve, they would and should seek out old and new colonies. Remember that humanity was already hard at work trying to reclaim Reach from the glass in the novel Shadows of Reach (an effort mocked by the Banished stationed there). But given 343's current priorities and how they're handling lore, I wouldn't trust them even with bathroom directions.
It is happening. Just before Infinite, after 5, Blue team is sent to reach to recover assets from Halsey's lab and end up working with terraformers (now the Reach militia) to fight a banished occupation force. (Halo: Shadows of Reach)

The only thing the end scene of Reach means is that a colony ship has shown up by 2589. We don't even know that it's a human ship, although the narration implies that. So the only takeaway is that humanity has survived that long, at least.
Did you miss the part of the title that says "theory"? It doesn't have to be correct, it's just for fun and speculation.
Theories require evidence.
@@PaulGuy the ship IS the evidence
@@SatanicBarbeque it’s more like a hypothesis. Regardless, theories are not exempt from counter arguments. This particular “theory” is a strange take and the narrative of the video suggests that all these things somehow MUST be reconciled. The entire basis is not rooted in any real logic.
@@rpwrtorwprthe only evidence is that humans are recolonizing reach, or someone is. That doesn’t mean there’s no more conflict and that humanity is at peace. It COULD mean that, but the video narrative insists these things must happen for this scene to take place.
There's perhaps another plot point you could include to make the story even juicier: maybe towards the end of the conflict (or after the created gets involved since they got the computing power), the human-banished-sangheli-literally everyone else in the galaxy alliance could receive cryptic messages from an unknown source? Over time the alliance figures out that the messages had been troop movements and plans of the flood, and after the firing of the halo array it was revealed that the messages had been sent by mendicant bias in an attempt at atonement, seeing as the war has close parallels with the forerunner-flood war and he was adamant on not letting the flood win.
I noticed that data too back in the day... and about that ship... i Always thought It was a Forerunner ship used by humans 'cause they get the mantle lol
Halo can't end. Spartans will forever be training in virtual combat sims.
As Chief tries to out run the activation of the ring , he realizes he wont make it , so with the air being chipped into his skull and helmet , he takes the helmet off and throws it back through the portal , you get to see his face before he is gone forever , though personally I'd prefer if he didnt take it off , I just figured some people would , I'd like for his death to be ambiguous sort of like they went for in halo 3
Imagine if he takes his helmet off and it's the face of the chief from the TV series 💀💀💀💀
I’d prefer that he does that but the camera doesn’t show his face and we never see him die but it’s implied.
Thanks to Mike for asking this great question. Also a subject I never gave much consideration. The idea of Halo ending used to seem impossible but in late 2023, it looks a bit more like a reality. I won't give up hope though
I mean, a specific window where the series lives doesn't need to be an ending. If anything it prevents things from getting too wacky over time.
@@colbyboucher6391 it very well might not be. I'll still follow the series either way!
I was happy to ask! Haha. In honesty, though, I don’t want Halo to end, though. I want to continue to enjoy and play it for many years to come. But I do want this current set of storylines wrapped up. Something akin to the beginning of the 4th Age in Tolkien’s masterpiece of literature and creative works. The 3rd Age ends, “tying up” all seemingly loose ends from the age of Melkor, Sauron, and Sauron again. I want answers to the Janus Key, how Geas will further affect humanity, how the Endless will come to play out, the Created issue, how the Banished can be dealt with, and how the Flood will end. How will humanity fulfill the Precursor’s destination as upholders of the Mantle, etc. (Don’t forget Onyx, Alpha 9, and Kilo 5 folks)
If you remember though, the Halo 3: Believe trailer, the live action one, with the diorama of a battle scene and the interviews, takes place in 2610. So there is another 21 year gap worth of lore to fill even after the Reach ending in 2589
Weird to think that throughout every single Halo game in the series (Except for Reach and any game that takes place before the fall of Reach) Noble Six’s helmet is just laying on the ground on Reach, forgotten by everyone
I love the legendary ending of halo 4. I know the Ur-Didact was talking about humanity and the reclamation. But I find it ironic that when he said "The Reclamation has already begun, and we are hopeless to stop it." the flood being corrupted forms of the precursors were reclaiming the universe even if they were the flood. I also wondered about the emphasis on that last part because we already know humanity are the reclaimers. I thought the precursors were coming back in halo infinite. I also noticed that Cortana in halo 5 pulled some parts of her speech directly from the halo 4 speech. I can also see the precursors being repulsed by the halo array as it is such a inversion of the forerunners duties.
The halo soundtrack In your intro sent chills down my spine. Man the halo ost will never get old to me
I was happy to ask! Haha. Thanks for the shoutout and wow, what a quick turnaround on an excellent video, as always! Each story point you made was outstanding and I loved it. ---- I don’t want Halo to end, but as you say I want all the plot points as we know, that make “Halo” Halo as we know it, ended and tidied up. I want to continue to enjoy and play it for many years to come. And your narrative suggestion would enable just that, and more. Think something akin to the beginning of the 4th Age in Tolkien’s masterpiece of literature and creative works. The 3rd Age ends, “tying up” all seemingly loose ends from the age of Melkor, Sauron, and Sauron again. (Don’t forget ol Mendez and friends, Alpha 9, and Kilo 5 folks)
I think 89 was Bungie's idea for the end. If I remember currently, you can see many terminal screens in Halo 3 marked with the date and the year should be around 2580s
Not only does it check all the no boxes, but it gives them a chance to give us more story on all the listed enemies we barely know anything about. I wanna know so much more about the endless and precursors
Haven't seen the video yet, but I'll say what I think before. 29 years is a whole lot of time for humanity to recover. That is longer than the entirety of the Human Covenant War. Despite being in a perpetual strife for 30 years now, humanity has not broken. With every passing month they make leaps and bounds of advancements from studying Covenant and Forerunner Tech. Who's to say within that 29 year time frame they didn't find a solution, or a true nuclear option? Edit: Now I've finished it. After seeing the proposed end of everything and new beginning, I'm not so sure I like it. While I can respect the interesting points, it feels too anti-climatic, too cheap, even too cliché. We've already seen an "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" moment before, the climax of the Human Covenant War. The whole rallying against a greater enemy has been seen time and time again in Halo. Humanity uniting against the Covenant, Arbiter and other Sangheili helping humanity after the betrayal of the prophets, The Flood (albeit VERY temporarily and with betrayal in mind) helping Master Chief and Arbiter reach the prophet of truth before it's too late. I also dislike how the flood just gets it's way so easily. While I understand that they are EXTREMELY powerful, they have been beaten time and time again. Simple glassing was enough to rid them of Earth, and Chief was able to fight thousands of them mostly alone in Halo CE. I'd continue on, but I doubt anyone is gonna read this much.
The flood get their way because they’re the creator(s) of the galaxy/universe, they’re an amalgamation of every living being in the galaxy including the literal gods they originally were. Now they’re a horrible eldritch demon god but a god all the same. at the peak of the flood/forerunner war the flood was infecting space and time, distorting it and manipulating it, opening up interdenominational gateways between solar systems and infecting entire worlds instantly, and not just the inhabitants but also the machines and plants, almost nothing was left to infect or corrupt by the end and the halo arrays were built in complete and utter secrecy where only a literal handful of forerunners even knew of their existence because too many knowing of them would run the risk of being them getting infected and inadvertently informing the keymind of their existence and purpose. And even The firing of the halo rings, the death of every living creature in the galaxy didn’t stop them, they cannot be killed so long as life exists, only delayed. Every instance of the flood we fight in the games is essentially it’s infant form that’s barely learned to crawl. And with the stupid “created” plotline created in halo 5 all of those fancy rebellious AI’s have essentially opened the flood gates (pun intended) by destroying any semblance of a unified force capable of combatting the flood, while also forgetting that they too are just food to it. Tl;dr Flood’s god and he’s too angry to die.
True. Good point bro
I’ve always wanted an excuse to see a Halo ring fired in the series. To me, they need to make the Flood stronger than ever, so much so, we have to activate a single Halo to stop the infection. It would be catastrophic, and make the stakes so much higher.
@@kbkilla360Yupp the end of halo to me should be it’s namesake fire 1 or 2 halo rings & exterminate almost everything. Maybe one or 2 human/alien colonies survive & just let them merge & rebuild from there.
Whether anyone reads it in entirety or not, your contribution was meaningful and appreciated 🫂
There may still very well be conflict by 2589. Reach has merely been recovered. If mankind has spread outwards beyond even Covenant borders, the conflicts would be very far from the Inner Colonies.
i got goosebumps listening to this! the idea of a 2nd flood war would be insane!!!
i remember reading an article on the Aegis fate, it was said to be decommissioned and put in a museum in 2589.
would probably be controversial due to Halo 5 but it would be interesting having the perspective of the story you descirbed change, not just from Chief/MP Spartan, but also other factions as well as potentially Marines/ODSTs
Damn this is the earliest I’ve ever been to a video
Same
I think Halo will not end by 2589. There will be a recolonization of Humanity despite all of the fighting.
It could be, but you never know with 343i's expansive storytelling. Based on what we saw in the final cutscene of *Halo: Reach* where Noble Six's heavily damaged Mark V[B] helmet is lying on the beautifully regrown ground of planet Reach, it is most likely that one of Dr. Halsey's final messages while she was on her death bed was being recorded while the cutscene was playing. She may of not liked the turnout of the Spartan IIIs, but she at least respected them to an extent. Now with the future of the Halo games after 2589, only time will tell. But I would love to see more games.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Haaaaaa. 😢
I think one of the best ways to continue the series would be a Halo style ghost recon game, with ODST’s as the protagonists and various insurrectionist cells as the antagonists, maybe a recapture of Venezia
We have to remember this was Bungie's Halo. 343i might have already decided to not pursue this.
Amazing video man! I thoroughly enjoyed it
I've been watching you for years but this one was one of my favorites. The future you laid out made makes a bit too much sense (but I'm open to being surprised by what 343 goes with). I'd definitely love for you to further explore this idea. Thanks 00!
Allying with the banished, very Halo 2 Esque. I love that idea.
I think I've requested this before, but the mention of reach being re-terraformed brought it up again. I would love to see a sciency deep dive into the process and consequences of planetary glassing, how the covenant achieve such destruction, the difference between localised, precise glassing, vs global, as well as the aftermath, i.e. the climate and environment of a glassed world, and what it would take to actually undo the effects and re-terraform a glassed world. I think it would be super interesting to hear the insane numbers involved.
I want to explore more of ancient humanity, or even a game where you play as the during them forerunner war.
Agreed
Damn I really hope someone at 343 watches this because this is the perfect way to end the series

@@trentrobertson5308honestly I think they should resume infinites campaign like in a novel and then make halo wars 3 and then make one last halo game which is halo 7 to end the series
I feel like 343 should do something different during these unknown years, they should make an MMO with the different factions and exploring what their wants/goals are. I think it’d be cool for Halo to continue to expand across different genres of games like Halo Wars for example.
343 need to hire you to write for them! Amazing video as always.
Incredible!! Well done man. Hate to see the end of MC but it has to happen eventually.. hopefully those final games (in your scenario) would really pay homage and make his exit an EPIC one.. Great video!!
I do like the idea of saying goodbye to Chief. Need to let him go, lean that it's ok to let go and move on. Never forget but move on. The badass has had twenty years with us.
I loved everything you said. I would have it so Master Chief gets a message from the domain tell him to ride out the blast from the halo aray in 343's shield world. Where he gets one more gift from the librarian. #1 he is physically rewound to when he and Cortana met. Or #2 he is given a much longer life, so he could still die but not by age or sickness.
Master Chief would be pushing 60 years old by 2589. Even for a Spartan that would be too old to really have the physical stamina or ability to continue fighting. Having Chief's story end on 04 would be poetic as the entire franchise began on the original 04.
Man your suggestions sound so good, lets hope for a bright future for halo❤
I absolutely love your theory. One question: what role does the Didact play in all this? I feel like he still has a massive role to play and arc to fulfill. Maybe he comes into the fray AFTER the Endless with the Precursors come into the fold?
Unfortunately, iirc he was killed off in a comic book. I don’t think he’s able to come back at this point but I may be wrong.
@@GraydenFisher-pv9mkhe’s come back. He has a new book.
That would be a touch ironic, wouldn't it? To have spent the 3 main line games trying to stop the firing of the Halo Array...only for it to be the only way to end the constant conflict in the Galaxy from a far greater threat. Ultimately though, even if the Halo Array was fired again, the known Galaxy wasn't the only place in existence. In fact, the end of Iso-Didact's story left him and the remaining few Forerunners outside of the Galaxy...didn't it? The Flood may very well still be beyond our reach with everything else just outside our view.
The galactic expansion of the flood opens up the possibility of a Halo Wars 3 with a galactic conquest mechanic similar to Battlefront Ii, and that would be sick
An rts spin off of his idea would be amazing
just from what I’m reading on Halopedia, this technically isn’t the end of the timeline, but 2610 is, at least that’s the farthest the timeline goes to it’s when the memorial to Master Chief is finished at the Museum of Humanity, and when a former ONI agent sends a bunch of artifacts from the Fall of Reach to the museum curator there
Dude. This story line gave me chills. I hope it ends up atleast half this good.
with the interviews from the Believe campaign, there is still so many more stories to write about. Stories about the great war, and stories about. The fringe species, brute remnants, the rebellion and humanity coming back to full strength.
This was genious wrigting my lord
I wish they don’t stop making halo games.
why do you think halo is so controversial nowadays? the story was perfect when reach came out. the downfall of halo was making more games.
Dude! Chief dying and our Multiplayer Spartan becoming the next version of him and Noble-6 would be so damn awesome, another passing of the torch.
I think that when humanity becomes the guardians of every life in the galaxy that's the moment when we'll have to fight the flood once more to demonstrate the precursors that we are worthy of the mantle of responsability
That story is impeccable Omg!!! Imagine if that all took place in game, my life would be complete🎉🎉
Sounds interesting id love to see and play that
I really would too in any scenario. But I really doubt 343 is thinking about any that in a campaign mode. Multi is all they care for.
Personally, I think that if there is a definitive date to take as the end of the history of the franchise, it would be the year 2610 or at least the first decade of the 27th century, taking into account things like the recovery of Dr. Halsey's diary and the museum of humanity, I suppose there would be people who would not take the second into account but in fact 343 takes it as something canon, I have my disagreements if with the passing of the games humanity would really claim the mantle of responsibility, personally I doubt that will be the case , but in the end, many things are still not written yet and can still surprise us all in the following years in a positive way.
The biggest problem with 343 right now is all they have to work on for an IP is Halo (they literally started their company because of this IP), frankly I really don't think Halo can go on forever (maybe Call of Duty possibly because of its multiplayer but because that is based more on realism, that is why it is more popular). At some point 343 needs to go the route of Bungie and move on the from the Halo IP and start creating a new IP, maybe its still Sci-Fi related that has loose connections to Halo. This way none of the baggage of Halo is carried over into a new IP, because its new (thats why all the older Halo fans hate the things 343 does now with the games, 343 would be in a much better state if they would be willing to try something new at some point. The biggest problem with sequels is that you can go on forever telling stories, never resolving anything completely and never let it rest. Really, I think killing off Chief, very few people are going to be OK with that but at the end of the day its a fictional franchise, either we have to try to like it or the company making the franchise, needs to end the franchise in some way shape or form. Another problem with continuing Halo forever is that you start getting away from what Halo started out as and it can eventually end up being something not looking like Halo anymore because of trying new things every single Halo game. That is why it would be best for 343 to move on from this franchise eventually and do something new to avoid this if possible.
@@Finger112 That doesn't really make sense: It is obvious that there is no story that “lives forever”, leaving aside video games, there are several projects and works in different media that show that even if they are popular, in the end they end, that is not a bad thing and most likely that pass with both COD and Halo. However, the idea that 343 should stop working on Halo is too silly, they are not an independent or purchased studio, the company was created by Microsoft to continue working on Halo, if that ends, in the best of cases, it will end in a whole mountain of arbitrariness, legal issues and complications to keep the games active, in addition to having difficulties to have constant activity in the market and/or the community involved, in the worst case, simply nothing guarantees that the franchise can remain active . Going to such an extreme just to have them "work on something else" would be a serious mistake. Also, what is this about killing the Master Chief? It is not necessary to end the Halo story with his death.
Here early for the first time, love your lore videos.
I really hope what you described doesn't happen, I really don't want the franchise to just be endless galaxy scale war.

The ideas presented for the halo universe going forward are really good. I think it would be cool to see elements from each halo game tied together. It would be sad to see Chief die if he doesn't return to the ark in time. Tagging off of that, what about the fact that the Librarian enhanced Chief's genes in the Reclaimer mission of Halo 4.
I always thought the Chief's final end would be a sacrifice. But not on the way you'd think. In order for the Chief to combat the Endless, he too must become more than he is. Enter the composed Didact. By using the Didact's methods of altering his body to become immune to the Flood, Chief and the Weapon modify it so that Chief can merge the physical and digital realms, losing his physical form in the process, but capable of manifesting himself as a new hybrid AI construct, a new Guardian. Now he is immune to Flood infection, and can utilize the Domain to become the ultimate protector of the galaxy
The Forerunners were connected to the Domain without loosing thier physical forms though. Why would Chief have to sacrifice his form for his sacrifice? We still have no idea what the Librarian did to him during Halo 4 and we also need to see what going with the JANUS Key. Also Mendicant Bias and Offence Bias. Also Ababeen, the keeper of the domain and the physical embodiment of the Domain.
I have many issues with Reach's story and this is one of them, but I don't think it means anything and considering the mainline games have only covered about 7 years within 20 years of our lives, we probably wont see 2589 in a LONG time and we still have plenty of room to explore the universe. Not against having a proper ending one day, but I just hope they dont feel beholden to this date simply because of essentially some throwaway dialogue to try and make the game end on a lighter note. But hey, at least we're talking about an actual proper ending again and not panicking that 343 is going to reboot the entire story. And honestly if they ever were to reboot it should be at least 10 years after we get a proper conclusion to this saga
What needs to happen now with the story is that it ALL NEEDS TO HAPPEN I N G A M E . Not in a short story, not in a book, not in a graphic novel, not in a TV series, or a movie. But I N G A M E . I'm tired of not being able to experience all the badass story moments in game. Just to read them sucks.
The ship in the ending cutscene of reach just looks like a modified Haylcon (the class of ship the Pillar of Autumn was) to me
To me, it doesn't matter if it ends in 2560. There are so many possibilities with the UNSC/ Covenant war and post war. ODST, marine regs, spartan 2's WITHOUT energy shields, (they didnt get them until just before the attack on Reach.) Or even playing as covenant forces invading a colony would be sick. Also, good concept.
Ancient Humans should return too from outside of our galaxy!
Gonna need to connect with halo infinite and halo wars 2 stories. It's makes the most sense to me in regards to dealing with the banished. Also need red team/omega team meet up with chief and blue team
I wish you were the campaign Director of 343
I wish anybody in this comment section was at this point
I think this would be the most ideal and safe way for 343 to put on the future Halo story which would not put them in bad terms with the fanbase and still keeping significant portions to continue forward after MC's MIA and would be cool if it could connect to the Halo 3 ad.
Can we collectively spam this at 343 so that they do even a modicum of this story? How you managed to fix the narrative of Halo is astounding. Bravo.
I adore your hope and love for this franchise, but i have such little hope that 343 will even follow through with a coherent plot line.
You not paying attention is not their fault
A couple thoughts I had in how the Spirit of Fire could have a fairly major part in Halo's future in general but could work well in your concept; We know they're stuck at the Ark, The Spirit may be a refit colony ship but it still has many production facilities and as we know with the fire bases, at least minimal colonising capacity of industrial levels. Given they likely still have the doc's research and Isabel's knowledge of the Ark, it's quite possible they could create a production facility with rudimentary integration with Forerunner tech. Whether that means they receive a message from the UNSC to prepare a stockpile of modified equipment or they integrate Forerunner tech into the Spirit, perhaps even discovering how to have the Ark's own facilities to create a new slipspace drive and other upgrades for the ship itself so it can return back to the fight under its own power, it could go many ways. Tl;dr it wouldn't be unreasonable for the Spirit to have rudimentary reverse engineered forerunner tech based on their knowledge and access to facilities allowing for a very impressive return to the franchise
Man that theory is something very similar to a theory I had when Awakening the nightmare came out
Lays out the end of a nearly 25 year franchise in 23 minutes. Amazing. Would love to see this
The ship in the Noble six cut scene looks a lot like the human ships before the forerunners de evolve them
I really like your concept of it all coming "full circle". My concern would be the execution of it. Idk if 343 has the talent, staff, or boldness to pull something off to that magnitude.
Just a bit of a correction quoting Cortana: halo doesn't kill flood it kills their food. So the flood on high charity were always meant to survive the halo explosion but they were meant to starve there as well
The concept of the flood being underpowered and rudimentary prior to the reappearance and reintegration of the Precursors and their near-magic technology is Tyranid levels of scary. If even the forerunners in all of their incompressible might couldn't stand against them in their unrefined state, imagining a conflict between the forces of the galaxy at large, of which are hardly a comparison to the forerunner empire, and a vastly more powerful developed flood would be wild... and probably one-sided if we're being real... Plot armor is gonna come in clutch for the 2600s saga
I genuinely want halo’s universe to keep expanding like starwars. I want my great grandchildren to be watching videos about Halo lore and playing video games (hoping they are still a thing) I really want halo to outlive me and for it to last as long as possible
It’d be interesting to think that the ship we see in that cutscene is forerunner, here to re seed life in the galaxy suggesting that the rings were fired again because the flood won again
Tbh i wish that the reach ending would end the history in our galaxy, and the next games being years or at max decades after the reach ending in another galaxy, for example the galaxy where the forerunners are or even the species of that weird ship in installation 05
What were the species of the 05 ship
I think if they made a halo game that's goes back to when the focused target was other humans and the liberation that happened. That would make for a insane grounded story. Something the games have brushed over. And only the TV gave good context over
This reminds me of Mass Effect 3 in a lot of ways. But I won't complain! It's one of my favorite narrative games.
I love this idea of how halo could proceed
What song is playing at 6:30? Is it from Halo ost? I don't remember.
It's not going to end by 2589. But that Humanity's stretch and security of interstellar space had been resolved within the inner colonies (and maybe even outer colonies), the whole in game battlespace and events taking place is galaxy wide now. So it's not unsurprising that a non-militarized populace of the UEG continues to successfully terraform Reach.
That would be super cool. If only a fan can make a video out of this.
Absolutely loved that idea
I really want to know what you think the end of chiefs story will be I love your theories!!!! Installation 00 I hope you see this!
i feel like we are gonna somehow encounter a forerunner later on in the halo games, which wouldn't make sense but definitely cool
Also, what exactly did the Librarian "activate" in MC's cellular structure even Cortana questioned an extreme heightened energy levels in his body? Does he now have more powers? more strength? more knowledge? abilities to levitate? Immortality? etc
I dont even remember a moment in the end of halo reach where it was showing Reach being normal again and showing "2589"
Good for you
I actually like this timeline of events, and the idea of Chief finally staying behind to end his story and pass the torch to a new character would be a much better idea, as Steve Downs has noted he wants to retire from playing the titular character for some time now, and this would very much tie things up for him and his career.
Whats halo without master chief though?
@@rarrdy It would be the end of one story and the beginning of another. Ehile yes, you can't have Halo without Master Chief, you eventually HAVE to retire the actor and in turn, the character who made the franchise. Otherwise you end up beating a dead horse. There comes a point in time when real life HAS to be taken into account with regards to beloved characters such as Master Chief. If he IS to be kept alive after Downes retires, it's my personal opinion that he then be left silent if he is to remain a main character, much like the Rookie in ODST.
Here me out, they should try a R rated ODST game in which you would be handling the flood. The old odst's who are now spartans come back and help you along the way as they would before. Have the night element be a little spooky with the flood. It starts with you barely surviving a jump to the ark from unknown sources, it'll be night and you'll have to make your way through a dense-ish jungle with just your pistol and no heals, standard ODST stuff. You fight off small groups of both covenant and banished groups, but both seem more scared of whats deeper in the jungle. You make your way to a crashed Pelican and are able to aquire what you need to heal and get better equipped, just as that green fog sets in, the hoards of flood coming start shaking the pelican as you hear that iconic scream. You have a turret that broke off of the pelican and drop walls to your left, next objective (survive). You form a defensive position inside the pelican and lay fire through the back, different amounts of time for different difficulties. Just as all hope seems lost, the spirit of fire drop in red team help evac you out of there. Those are just kinda my ideas for how the start of the game could play out. Idk who the ODST you'd be playing as would be, but I think it would be cool, if it didnt mess up the lore that commander keys grandson could be the one youre playing as, a real young lad being exposed to the horror that is the flood. To still market to kids just add a blood and gore feature like every other game.
before instalation 04 is activated he should ask the weapon "if it were your choice... would you do it?"
