  • You should do am update video every couple months where you go back to some of these jobs and show what it all looks like 3-6 months after its all done. Doesn't need to be some extensive hour long thing, unless you wanted to do like a compilation video. I think that would be neat to see.

  • I appreciate that you gave us different camera angles. It helps get a sense of how deep your cutting and how much mud you're actually moving. This property owner is making quite a little spread for himself!

  • Pull up some trees to lay on the bank with some good clay to terrace it so it doesn't erode so much. Cheaper than old railroad ties but won't last as long, It's sort of like making pond dam terraces. If necessary spillway mats can be laid over the ridge lines. Otherwise, slope slippage will recur. (French drains help too...)

    • Jay, I noticed those too. I guess were the only fisherman watching. The drone footage showed some on the other side of the pond too. My dad started me eating bluegills before I was one year old. 66 years later and I still love eating them. Good luck fishing Jay !

      @randymack1234@randymack12343 жыл бұрын
    • @Dave Hicinbothem Yes Dave, they are the "nest" the bluegills lay there eggs in. I've seen "beds" that had so many nest in them , that the nest touched each other on all sides. Fishermen call this group of nest a "bed" The males make the nest, the female lays her eggs in the nest, the male fertilizes the eggs , then guards the eggs until after they hatch.

  • We have one pond in Bradford County, PA that was tree denuded. Solution was 6 10' deep holes where the bass can hang out in the warmer weather. We did plant willows which grow fast and are strong up in PA. They help to cool the water as well with their shade. This one is naturally spring fed so no dam needed.

  • Chris, you need some walkies talkies or even better CBs to communicate and /or a combination there of to add to horn beeping vs smoke signals. "over" . A couple of cheap CBs for the main equipment might come in real handy. That would work good say across the pond, even in the woods etc "bring a chainsaw next trip" etc. Time is money

  • In Australia a dam that shallow is called a puddle and would dry out in weeks. We have deep dams to keep the water cooler so it don't evaporate away to nothing. The amount of rain and shallow ground water you people have never ceases to amaze me. I have not seen mud like what you deal with in most of your videos. Our earth movers have an easier time than you. If a farmer wants to clean out a dam just wait to the end of summer or a drought and it can be done dry no mats required. We are only now getting some rain but it is 10mls here and another 10mls in a week or two and that is along the eastern coast. Australia does not know mud and water like you do.
