@@danielsantiagourtado3430I’ve seen Signs years ago on Halloween at school
Does the 13 Ghosts Jackal count? Because that mother fucker scarred me for life. 😰😭 If not, then I guess Clover from Cloverfield? Jesus fuck, I take that back, I forgot about Starship Troppers. That's the second most scariest CGI monster(s) I've ever seen.
Always seeing @@KSANU6in most of the channels that I watch & am subscribed to showing a picture of a girl showing her delicious assets as her pfp 😋😂
Bill Skarsgard's performance as pennywise was both terrifying and phenomenal.
I agree. He is the best Pennywise there is 😉👍
Thx
I think this pennywise looks like syndrome from the incredibles
Literally the only complaint I have with this one is the moment at 16:15 when the bugs in the tunnel were incorrectly referred to as the Cloverfield monster's "babies". In truth, the Cloverfield monster _itself_ is a baby, and the bug things are its homeworld's equivalent to _fleas,_ which in a way could be considered worse. We see more of a _pest_ than we do of the creature that naturally has to deal with them.
No matter how many times I watch the movie, I still look away during the bugs scene of King Kong 😆
This is when CGI genuinely looked good and did not look like a poorly rendered video game cutscene
The rendition of Hell in "Constantine" was much better than in "Drag me to Hell". You missed that one.
Dementors are the physical form of depression. A real life terrible monster that ruins lives wreaks families and leave some to end it. More frightening than a monster
And they suck out your soul.
I’d rather stay depressed then see some of these monsters in real life😂
@angelaasleg5099 I know your pain. They want to sweep it under the rug and deny it exists! Thank you for that comment! I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in 2007. I had no idea why I was crying at the drop of a hay! The cruelness of people that don't want to talk about it and when they say you'll get over it?!? Rise above it Angel! ❤❤
I thought they were more like incarnations of despair.
No they are Just second rate Ringwraiths
I still can’t shake the imagine of that man being eaten alive by oversized bugs in King Kong. The bugs jumped him.
In no other movie genre do I prefer practical effects over CGI more than in Horror, for one simple reason: No matter how realistic CGI may look nowadays, practical effects are really there.
The monsters from The Tomorrow War were genuinely unsettling the first time I watched that movie. Freaky to say the least
That's right! The bear was crazy creepy..definitely was waiting for The Fog
Everything is CG. It took the wonderment and magic out of movies. We watched John Carpenter's The Thing and all thought " How in the world did they do that???" Now, when ever we see an effect, we know exactly how it's done: Through a computer.
This! I grew up in the 80s and practical effects are so much better.
Right! Used to be a useful tool to accomplish effects that simply were either too difficult or just not plausible with practical. Then somewhere it just became the default way and practical wasn't worth their time anymore. Believability was out. Sad. Let's see some CGI ever replicate the predator's face from 1987. If they can do that, I'm impressed.
@@Max_Sinister_26 No, they're not. Practical effects are better in the right circumstances but do you honestly believe they could have made something like LOTR and Jurassic Park convincing with only practical effects?
@avidfather1864 for the most part, the creative limitations of reality forced filmmakers to sell illusions and craft with thought and intention nowadays a director can say "the hero blurs reality as a meat tornado does infinity backflips and the camera does a 900° while everything changes every color every second", and a bunch of underpaid wage slaves compute every pixel until it's good enough. I'm not saying cg has no place, but in its current incarnation it largely ruins today's effects heavy films as a be all crutch for work for hire directors
@@jamesboice2763 Yes, you can definitely say it's overused but you can't say that it has no place in the industry. There are things that are just genuinely impossible to do with practical effects.
I honestly believe that Cloverfield is an extremely underrated movie. Sure the begining is slow but when the monsters come they leave you as breathless as the characters!
Given the appearance of King Kong on here, I’m surprised you didn’t include Shelob from Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.
That little ballerina wasn't that scary but it was unexpected, effective and creepy I thought.
AAAAH THE JAW FROM THE GRUDGR SCARED THE SHIT OUTTA ME WHEN I ACCIDENTALLY SAW IT AS A KID
You know what's scarier than the real things? Those things in our imagination...
@@whats_apk_me_.. Our imaginations incorporate other senses whereas the representations on the screen of some of our fears are largely visual. ALL human imaginations are multisensorial which make them scarier than anything that exists externally.
that moment when Jack Black was hitting those bugs or insects, he was told to just start swinging it angrily and then they'll put the bugs/insect on wherever he's swinging at. really good cgi right there
This list fills me with wonder of the fascinating horrors in movies.❤
CGI: Making our nightmares come to life one pixel at a time
I think the Entity from 2022's Smile should've been on this list, this thing is a total nightmare fuel
“The Thing” movie definitely creeped me out. The monster was so damn creepy and disgusting to look at. Till this day, whenever I see that “thing” I make a face of disgust.
All the more amazing that it wasn't a CGI effect.
The CGI for starship troopers surprisingly holds after all these years. Even the practical effects used for blood and gore when the arachnids' razor sharp limbs cut through human bodies was awesome.
I totally agree with Number 9 normally I’m not bothered by Bugs, but seeing all those giant monstrous insects made My Skin Crawl😱😖
It's like they were plucked out of the Carboniferous Period of Earth's history.
@@JamesDavy2009 yeah
Practical effects will always be scarier to me. They’re simple, but effective
So much more believable when done right. CGI swings and misses more than it hits
@@mike91mdk45 damn right
I love this channel it always has the goods
Honorable mention, the first cgi of Sonic, that claws and the feet, and the TEETH!!! OH MY GOD!!! Who needs sleep anyway, right?
That 2019 render was the picture you would see if you looked up the definition of the Uncanny Valley.
Though Mr. Grey was startled to see that Dudditz is also an alien
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! Amazing 3D VFX work. Just amazing and scary at the same time.. 🥶
Legion and Prometheus had some scary CGI effect too.
Wait..... I just watched your list for horror movies with the worst CGI and Mama was on the list! 😂😂😂😂😂 What's happening?🤔
Evangelist here. I have story after story of seeing demons manifest from people. After a few times it's not that huge of a spectacle. But like, definitely the first couple times I was spooked 😅. You realize you have much more authority over the body and Spirit than they do. But as a kid, I was terrorized for years from the Aliens in the movie "Signs". I wouldn't walk past hallways in broad daylight in my house without my parents I was that scared. It's crazy how much the mind plays tricks on you. Now a days, I have zero issues confronting demon possessed people but I still respect going into places I have no business being in on my own.
The Nazgul in Lord of the rings impressed me 🤷♀️
IF IMHOTEP HADN’T BEEN ON HERE, I WOULD’VE RIOTED! That guy scared me as a kid, and I still refuse to watch that movie because of him 👿
Annihilation: not just that creepy AF bear, but when it tore off Thorensen's jaw. Creepy AF.
I'm surprised that the Reapers from Blade II only features at number 13. But that's not my decision. Daaaaaaaamn, that Reaper better close that mouth! XD
If you are into found footage and mockumentary, Trollhunter is a MUST SEE. It is a very awesome movie.. and so is Cloverfield ;-)
We will always support this channel. They’re incredible at what they do.
A face with a bunch of crooked teeth in it? That must be hard ASF to brush, let alone floss. How would mouth wash work?
14:45 When I saw this scene as a kid I was really traumatized 😱
The transformation scene in Hollow man sends shivers down my spine every single time.
Amy Smart is one of my all time favorites. Her helicopter pilot scene in Rat Race, 🙃.
The creepy ass ghost children in The Haunting.
for me the no.1 would the Alien cloud from "NOPE"
The bear in annihilation was mostly prosthetic, the head and some of the body are all practical, so its not completely cgi
@@whats_apk_me_.. what?
This is so awesome
I like SIGNS and I love KING KONG and the HARRY POTTER franchise. I should point out that The Dementors didn’t only appear in PRISONER OF AZKABAN.
I usually agree with you guys for the most part, but the Dementor effect was done better in 10 different versions of A Christmas Carol. Seriously, though the idea for it in the books was pretty cool and definitely had a chill factor, on screen they looked like they were wearing cloth over their faces half the time. I would have replaced it with the Balrog from Lord of the Rings.
Those silly Signs aliens at #3??? 😂
It's smart if using cgi to use it sparingly along with practical effects. Cgi still doesn't look real.
Honestly your top 10 list scares me😂😂😂
I remember seeing The Mummy in theaters when it first came out in 1999. I was 12 years old and we saw it at a screening at Universal Studios, Orlando. This was during the glory days of the Terminator 2 attraction, the King Kong ride, the Twister attraction, and of course Jaws. And damn... 12 year old me was creeped the hell out by the Mummy on the big screen. I remember the sound effects being amazing too.
I remember watching the movie a quiet place after my boyfriend bought a copy of it at our local gas station, it was pretty good. Plus I did get a pretty good laugh when the Disney show big city greens made an episode of going to the library that pretty much was a PG parody of the movie.
this amazing content 🎇
I would add the monster at the end of the movie, "Underwater"
That version of Cthulhu was the best!✌️
Tbh the She Hulk twerk was truly more scarier CG than the others
This is good for Halloween
Mirrors is one film that’s creeped me out and made me not want to look at another mirror ever again 😂
10:44 when you see star killer In real life… 😱
Horror is more than just CGI. It must be built on suspense. It must be plausible enough to be somewhat believable. It must associate with some deep seated primal fear. JAWS. THE EXORCIST. Stephen King stories have never been scary. Harry Potter is a joke. A kids' story. A Dementor? Is it like Dr. Demento?
The mist is a great movie just not great CGI 😅
I didn’t know Cameron Boyce was in a horror movie. He’s in the horror movie Mirrors Stop the video at 8:24 you can see him.
I can't believe the aliens in Signs is here 😂. They look ridiculous
Those “crickets” in King Kong are weta. They’re shy, gentle beasts, though they can hurt when they feel threatened, by biting or kicking with their spiny hind legs.
The ritual has very good cgi
It amazing how scary CGI movie make prefect master piece take lot of hard to make it
I found Trollhunter much better than the Blair Witch Project, because you can actually see the monster and not guess if it was just someone else playing a prank. You never see the Blair Witch in the movie so you can't be sure if it was real or not. And the trolls really do look realistic.
"The listeners"..? They are called Death Angels
Mama's cgi was scary!?!? 🤦♂️🤣 It's laughably joked about for how BAD the cgi was. 🤷♂️
Spooky man totally
Please start doing timestamps
Omg that terrifying these creatures if I watch them I’ll crap my pants
Y’all fast😂😂
lucifer morningstar dc or other versions of lucifer snaps and all the scariest monsters beings you mentioned in the list turns them into dust or be gone forever imagine that
The movie signs doesn't make sense. How water spilled on them hurt, if they can move through our water saturated atmosphere?
John Carpenter 's "The Thing". After seeing it, I literally lost my appetite. .... for days. 41years later, I still can't watch it.
John Carpenter's The Thing has no CGI. Amazing, right?
@@bloodrush545 Yeah, come to think of it. You 're right. CGI didn't even exist yet. Like on "The Exorcist". It's all trick photography and effects.
I absolutely hated “Drag me to hell”. Every scare was just so cheesy and goofy it took me out of the horror completely. And the twist in the ending is such a weak way to end the story, it’s basically just “oops, my bad”
Honorable mention: Dark Overlords from Howard the Duck. Although I don’t think they were CGI..
#10 im legit disturbed by that
I am still haunted by the Alien movies as the only ones. To this day I never see or review them …. !
Dementors are my favorite
Birdemic: Shock and Terror did not made it on the list?
What about the thing in the movie The Thing?
Im still traumatized by the bugs in king kong 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
number 18 is the scariest CGI 😢
Sees the Thumbnail: WTF is that??!!! Watches the video: Sorry I asked.
Do you know where the thumbnail is from?
@@Xenofan111he Sugar Plum Fairy in Cabin in the Woods.10:12
@@julieporter7805 thanks man!
Uhh the sugarplum fairies from cabin in the woods weren’t cgi It was practical effect monster makeup
@@whats_apk_me_.. go away bot
Number 3 : Aliens from Signs?! Seriously?!
Drag Me to Hell- Nah the Gypsy lady Gumming her chin is way scarier
"Alien" (1979)--the alien. Maybe the narrator doesn't know movies made before she was born.
I didn’t really find The Mummy to be a horror movie at all
i never knew slither was based in south carolina i’m a native and didn’t know it
Does anyone know what the thumbnail is from?
And they say CGI looks bad.
11:15i know where this is going.
How about scary stories to tell in the dark??
The only movies I've actually seen, like and have on this list, are Harry Potter whichever one has watched anyway, the mummy and King Kong, those slugs in that movie gag 🤢🤮, and I'm still choosing on wanting to watch the mist or not.
The Thumbnail made my skin crawl.
You know which movie that thumbnail is from?
It’s from the movie Cabin In the Woods
You mean the Leviathans from Supernatural?
Hiiiii❤
