I have never played 2b2t in my life and still look forward to when these videos come out. Keeping up with history and helping create it in a way by preserving it and showcasing it to people like myself who otherwise wouldn't even know it exists is definitely appreciated

Coming from a computer science and software engineering background, the idea of a decentralized, heavily automated storage system like Gringotts is amazing to me. It leads me to wonder if I could make something like it on my own.

Also a computer science student, it's simple in concept, but would probably be pretty tough in execution, tracking specific chests with specific shulkers, making a web portal to input commands that somehow communicate with the bot, The baritone part is already done so that's easy, would be a fun undertaking though, probably take me a while to do

using captial/lower case letters for the bots to distinguish shulkers means there's 2 possibilities for each character in "this is a spawnmason shulker" so 2^24=16.777m distinct comibinations for shulker names, each shulker stores 27 slots = 452m available slots to store x64 assuming it's only full stack items for simplicity = 28,991,029,248 items stored at capacity. That's a pretty good storage system, and lag free
so 500 million items was only 1.7% capacity assuming every shulker is filled with full stack items. pretty neat
ya we only have about 500,000 shulkers, and, if we ever hit 16777216 we can just have a new naming scheme for the new ones

I think this is the new greatest base in 2b2t history. Between the sheer scale, the incredible storage system, the security precautions, the number of people that cooperated to build it and the quality of the builds themselves, I don't think anything has even come close.

While many view griefers and griefing negatively, I think they are a necessary evil in 2b2t. The fact that your base getting griefed is always a possibility, forces these groups and builders to become more innovative and creative in hiding and defending their base, leading to bases like this that are simply mind boggling and unlike anything ever seen in Minecraft. The problem with the name of the vault. "Gringotts" as Fit mentioned was the most secure vault we know of in the Wizarding world of Harry Potter. The problem with the name is that in the Deathly Hallows Harry Potter and his friends broke into Gringotts and stole something, proving Gringotts can be breached and can be robbed.

And it's happened even before that when Gringotts was previously broken into. But They never said it was IMPOSSIBLE. Just very, very improbable.

I know you gotta just expect every 2b2t base to eventually be greefed, and it's cool they were able to protect their storage system by decentralizing and randomizing it, but it still kinda stung to see such a beautiful base greefed. I really enjoyed this episode. 🙃

The name is an HP reference but this is exactly like a Shadow Depository in Farscape. Right down to the automated delivery and level of defense...though they could have used dispensers and/or skeletons alongside the discord notifications. Write the bots to trigger the traps but to stop short of being hit by the arrows, and also to refill the arrow dispensers. Or have them respawn nearby idc.
