Dong Ho Chung:
Donghao Chung is located in the central part of Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. Originating from the long waist ridge on the east side of Baiyun Mountain, it flows from north to south, flows through Luhu, Xiaobei and the east side of Yuexiu Road from north to south, of which the Lujing road section is an underground culvert, and the vicinity of Dongfeng East Road is turned into an open channel, and the iron bridge in the west of Dashatou is injected into the Pearl River, which is an outflow river, an above-ground river, and a perennial river, with a length of about 4.225 kilometers, a width of about 3-11 meters, and a basin area of about 9.42 square kilometers. It was originally the east branch waterway of the lower reaches of Ganxi (Wenxi), which was dug and dredged by deep digging and dredging in the fourteenth year of Dabao of the Southern Han Dynasty (971) and the third year of Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty (1370). Originally named Tung Chung and Tung Hao, it was renamed Tung Ho Chung during the Republic of China, and was named because it was located in the east of ancient Guangzhou. Historically, the site of Donghao Chung has changed repeatedly with the changes of Guangzhou City: in the Southern Han Dynasty, Donghao Chung was in the area on the south side of present-day Cangbian Road, from the Song Dynasty to the early Ming Dynasty, it was injected into the Pearl River near today's brown rice column, in the middle of the Qing Dynasty, Yongkou was moved to the vicinity of Hengma Road in Dongshajiao, and in the Republic of China, Yongkou was moved to Dongtieqiao. After 2009, the landscape recreation belt project was implemented on both sides of the river, and the previous concrete embankment was replaced by an ecological embankment covered with green plants, creating a landscape effect of enjoying greenery everywhere. By adopting methods such as rain and sewage diversion, water purification and replenishment, and landscape decoration, the environmental quality of the river is improved, the original ecology of the river is restored, and the good effect of "clear water and beautiful shore" is realized.
