Kansas Redemption Day: Two Bobcats and a Coyote Double | The Last Stand S3:E6 | December in Kansas

2020 ж. 29 Жел.
532 524 Рет қаралды

After the heat and wind of the November hunt, Rick and Dustin give it another try a couple weeks later. The coyotes are still sneaking around in the cedars, the bobcats are out and coming to the call, and the Lucky Duck coyote vocals show their value when the coyotes snub their nose at prey distress.

  • Great Job Boys on a slow trip you still got great footage to watch. I had 4 days planned and made 2 stands in my first day and put my back out. I guess the advantage of that was I called a coyote on 50% of my stands.😜. Got the new Revolt awhile ago and love it. Great sounds and volume just like everyone says it does. Love the decoy on top and being able to program the 4 “hot” buttons on the side of the remote for the sound and volume levels I want at the touch of a button is just one of many game changing features on this call. The one thing I disagree with is everyone that says the revolt remote is hard to use. After only a couple weeks of using it and getting familiar with it, I have had no issues at all even with my gloves on in Alberta. Thanks again for great videos and a great product.

    • Yes you should everyone should hunt. Idk where you live but here in michigan dear hunting is super popular. Should find out what big game's most popular that way there's lot's people to meet and teach you the ropes. Nothing better than the feeling of getting you a critter that's over a hundered pounds down. The rush never goes away been doing it for 20+ years it's still just as fun.

  • Nice excuse! :) With an AR, the scope is about 1.5 inches on average from the barrel, so with all things perfect at about 20 yards you would only be shooting around an inch low if your zero is at 100 yds. 3/4 of an inch low if the zero is at 50 yrds, and only 1/2 inch low if your zero is at 200 yards. This is assuming you are using .223 rounds. If it is chambered in something flatter, perhaps the figures are a tad different, but nothing greater than 1.5 inches low for 20 yards. Love the content! Keep it up! Enjoy that donut! :)

  • Watching Geoff drop all those coyotes that were "haulin' the mail" has finally paid off for Rick. Good shootin on that Bobcat Rick. Great plug for the Tasty Pastry. Keep up the good work. Also thanks for throwing in the tip for short distance AR shooting. I've been thinking I will mount my red dot beside the scope on a 45 degree angle mount to help lessen the negative effects of this. Also I have heard it's an easier transition from red dot to scope because it's just a twist of the rifle and you can keep your check weld. Any thought or mount recommendations?

    @dennisholle1005@dennisholle10053 жыл бұрын

    @codymiller3581@codymiller35813 жыл бұрын
    • Sounds like you should hunt more populated areas or learn how to run the call. Fox pros are good too but I do love my lucky duck sounds quality is clearer by far. My advice (take it for what it's worth I'm still learning this sport myself and I've been at it 4 years now just got my first one this spring) but more land and proper calling is huge it's tricky but you'll get it figured out just don't give up! Stay safe and good luck calling!

  • I get shooting the coyotes, but what’s the point of shooting a bobcat and a raccoon except for the pleasure killing things that move. Was half way expecting you to shoot the crane as well. There’s something really wrong with killing only because it’s alive for sport. Put any reason you like behind it to justify it but at its base it’s still just a slaughter for the thrill it gives you and that the worst reason to shoot. I’m a hunter but my purpose is for food, what’s yours?!
