Detailing a Land Rover Defender 90 // Dry Ice Cleaning & Ceramic Coating
"It's like taking a commando for a manicure at the spa." - @SeanArcherXXX commented on last week's Green Land Rover Defender 90 (you can find that video here if you missed it! - • Land Rover Defender 90...
This was the second of the two D90s you saw in the shop this month, both of them in for some pretty deep detailing! This stunning red LR Defender had even more work done to it than the other. We started with a dry ice cleaning, as usual, gave it a good car wash and got to working on the paint.
This Defender has seen some adventures, and this red paint had a lot of love we could give it. There was quite the transformation as we applied paint correction. Then on the interior, we replaced the foam on the seats, along with their covers, and even restored the vinyl center console before we freshened up a few trim pieces.
We finished with ceramic coating the Land Rover and installing a new bumper.. lol!
This commando is feeling refreshed and ready for battle.
Enjoy the video, give it a thumbs up and consider subscribing! We just hit 140k! WOO!
Thank you!
We have a new sponsor coming on the channel soon, so for now, i'll just drop this little hint..

The problem with having a nice vehicle is you can’t park it anywhere without some thieves trying to steal it, did an excellent job on the detailing wow👍👍👍
Looks fun when some youtube channels call Washing, interior cleaning and light polishing as "Detailing". Guys you make true Detailing, it is amazing
🫶🤝 thanks Alex Means a lot
This might be the best transformation yet. Single stage paint is just amazing when it gets corrected.
Pretty amazing how much you can bring back!
Super Video Thank you 😚👌🤟👍
The last 2 LR-Defender videos have made me feel like an "impulse buyer"...stop it guys! Save me from myself.😁
I’d impulse buy a Defender FOR SURE
The best bumper sticker I've seen on a Landie is: "I'm not leaking. I'm sweating!" Would be on quite a few brands I'm sure. This 90 looks like a little red fire engine 🚒 it looks and gleams & is ready for more adventures. Everyone has a view on Land Rovers, reliability, leaks, breakdowns etc but in many parts of the World, particularly countries which had a close relationship with the UK, many of the older & a few newer 4x4's will be a Landie of one kind or the other. In SA we had a saying: "We ride in Land Rovers. The terrorists drive Toyotas!'
You tell your story homie! The entire detail is sick and if people aren’t here to enjoy the story you wanna tell (in the order you are telling it) then they can skip forward or just not watch.
Excellent… excellent… excellent. 👊🏻😎🔨 I personally like the dry ice cleaning in the beginning.
Hmmm might have to test next month back and see
Unusual color for a defender, but turn out spetacular, never see those rear lights, amazing job for sure.
Thanks Alexandre!
A real Jurassic park spec love it!
Wow! Red REALLY pops when it's prepped and polished properly!
Something special!
As usual gentleman a stellar job with great attention to detail!
Thank you my friend!
Outstanding!
Thanks Ron! Love this car
It looks great, you guys do amazing work
Thanks buddy! Appreciate the support!
@@IAMDetailing absolutely, that is what people need to do more of .. be supportive of one another.
@@finaltouchautodetailingllc Couldn't agree more :) We have so much abundance around that we can all really support each other. Thanks for stopping by!
Stunning! So, the ceramic coating is only done on the wheel arches? I didn't see any discernable difference after the product was applied, is it more for protection or am I missing something?
Really good result.. only mistake when doing such a big transformation is to not replace the Hella 3000 lenses, are worn out and foggy.
Chrome screws would have been nice !
What is the stuff tthat he puts on the exhaust to make it look shiny with a chemical
Outstanding as usual. Do you know what year that was?
I’ll need to ask Geoff!
1994
what brand of dry ice machine ?
I always watch the whole video buuuut, I came to your channel for the dry ice cleaning. I’m an amateur Detailer so I enjoy all of the other content but dry ice brought me her. If nothing else the sequence just seems weird, dirty work before clean work (I know it’s only edited that way).
Yeah, we might make some efforts to revert it back to the original style It’s a HUGE difference in average watch time (we’re talking 2 minutes vs 8 minutes) so as much as i’m a fan of doing things in the sequence we do them… it’s the difference is hundreds of hours of watch time each week, and that equates to more resources to make more videos
Boris Johnson is the main suspect
🤣
Nope. Moving the dry ice cleaning section to later in the video didnt make me watch more of the other stuff, i just scrolled to what i came here for. Sorry, not sorry.
Yeah,that should start the video.
That’s what I make the chapter markers for ;) i can’t argue with two months of data 😬 200% increase in watch time since moving it. Thank you for watching!!
@@IAMDetailing Yea, you do awesome work, i just really like the dry ice aspect of it. Keep it up!
Snap,I do exactly the same 👍
I’m sorry, but c’mon man why’d you ruin that Land Rover with an ATM emblem 😂
🤣
I have a feeling this thing leaks oil & that’s why it was so filthy underneath brah 😐
“If it ain’t leakin, it’s empty” is a fairly commonplace saying for the Land Rover community
@@IAMDetailing Jesus…☹️
Red all over the pads your buffing the paint right off brah 😐
Yes thats paint correction process 😉
@@IAMDetailing 🤨
That’s how it is with single stage paint.
Single stage paint, what do you think buffing is? It removes a small amount of the top layer, in single stage its the color, in this case red.
@@gpaje you heard it here first folks these guys will buff your paint off brah ☹️
