excellent match! just a few too many errors on/off the racket from Romiglio - but he's clearly on the brink of a major breakthrough!
Great to watch!
I like his style, good player to watch. Both of them!
What a rapid pace they were playing at all credit to the Argentinian player
What a class match
Epic match! Wow
Romiglio nos vemos en los top20 !!
What court is this. Idk if it's new or not.
About 5 shot of the month candidates in this match hard to narrow it down
at 5:06 , i was always under the impression that if the player makes a full 180 turn to follow the ball he loses the "right" to play it to the front wall. so how is it a yes let? i understand you would say its because of safety but its also his own fault for getting into that situation. just as it is if you were to run into your opponent instead of around
You shouldn't play the ball after turning, because of safety, but you can't exactly be punished with a stroke if you could play the ball, right? That's why it's an automatic let
@@bproshek Squash rule 8.13.3 ... "if the striker could have struck the ball without turning, but turned in order to create an opportunity to request a let, no let is allowed." There's nothing automatic about a let. It's a judgement call by the referee.
Are you saying if he does a 180 turn he not only shouldn't play the ball, but also won't get a let from that? By that logic, if I know the referee will not give me a let, I will just play the ball regardless, which will lead to a very dangerous situation, since in that turn I completely lose sight of my opponent during the turn and only have a small window to see if he is there, which is what caused Asal's DQ back in US Open 2022.
@@chriscampbell1645 splitting some fine hairs there lol, technically you are correct but such a situation virtually never happens. I've watched a LOT of squash and I've never seen a let not awarded after turning. In practice, it's automatic.
@@bproshekIt actually did happen to Rösner infamously. Then he hit his opponent on the next one and was given a stroke against him and either a conduct warning or stroke as well. In the ref's defense, on the first one it did look a bit like he was manufacturing a let situation. But the "no let" left him little choice but to play the next one in a dangerous situation.
“Rapido” ??? Masotti is French not Italian 😂
romiglio's argentine
